♥️ needs to be made into movie! or HBO SERIES ♥️

Zoe Chant is one of the most creative inventive authors out there THESE NEED TO BE MADE INTO MOVIES The entire 1st series 7 books plus bonus prequel novella
This is the awesome series FIRE & RESCUE SHIFTERS series
It was sooooo good be sure to also read the next series (WILDFIRE SHIFTERS) that follows the children of the characters in THE FIRE & RESCUE SHIFTERS) series also IT WAS EVEN BETTER! there is a 3rd series being currently written.
Now there is a sea side community East Sussex, England where a Lot of shifters reside and this story follows the A SQUAD crew of the fire and rescue crew as each one finds his mate. The weird cases always seem to get diverted to their magical team. In most part due to one of their team members work the operator phones.. so we got FIRE COMMANDER ASH a Phoenix, who has such a dark tormented past he rejected his fated mate and erased her memories (to protect her of course)
CHASE TIERNACH WEST, A BLACK PEGASUS who’s drunken parting ways, has gotten him in trouble with his fated mate (she hates him)

GRIFF a LION & EAGLE SHIFTER whom both his animals fight in his head so ferociously they are literally killing him, *Firefighter Daifydd Drake or DIA a RED WELSH DRAGON who meets his mate when another dragon tried to kill her (so she hates dragons) opps

John Doe is a SEA DRAGON, and a Knight-Poet of the First Water.” Who has sworn a life of celibacy and claims he has no mate, and never will but while on land on a quest to help is OATH BROTHER, Griff who he claims he owes an OATH DEBT to he finds her! Oh my oh my! What will he do? What can he do? He has taken a vow of celibacy he is a Knight! He can’t claim his mate, can he?

Hugh Argent the medic, HUGH is a UNICORN who suffers unimaginable pain when anyone touches him, he hates WYVRN’S especially the little wyvrn shifter with the poisonous venom that has cause his friends so much suffering. But while tracking her down to make her pay.. he discovers.. SHE IS HIS FATED MATE. no! No! No! No? This cannot be happening!

In SEA DRAGON’S MATE JANE DOE, …John Doe’s sister, sea dragon… has found her mate in a lion he lives on land she lives in the sea.. the old adage comes to mind..“A BIRD MAY LOVE A FISH BUT WHERE WOULD THEY LIVE?”

In MASTER SHARK’S MATE This story follows on from Firefighter Sea Dragon, but also features characters and locations from Shifting Sands Resort series. You don’t need to have read the Shifting Sands Resort series to enjoy this book - but if you have, you’ll see some familiar faces! In the Shifting Sands timeline, The Master Shark’s Mate takes place after Tropical Wounded Wolf but before Tropical Bartender Bear. If you’re interested in reading in chronological order.
Zoe Chant is one of the most creative inventive authors out there THESE NEED TO BE MADE INTO MOVIES please also read WILD FIRE SHIFTERS It is a continuation of FIRE & RESCUE SHIFTERS their children so it’s a second generation and also read SHIFTING SANDS RESORT. Oh there are so many ZOE CHANT SERIES TO READ. Note there are more than one Zoe Chant she is a pen name for several talented authors. Also see the Zoe Chant who writes the PROTECTION INC & DEFENDERS INC bodyguard shifters. Double Series it’s amazing with its flying kittens and teleporting puppies magical pets!

So, read the entire collection in one go, and wasn't a good experience, first thing first, I should have skipped the ones I disliked, lesson for another time.
The biggest problem is the worldbuilding and some shifters rules make no sense, like literally no sense, like, "why they aren't they extinct?" sense, which is...

Anyway, score:

First Mission 1 star, pure ans simple, it don't work very well as an introduction.

Firefighter Dragon: 1 star, not too good, also, the conflict is very boring.

Firefighter Pegasus: 2 stars, the plot is not bad, but the hero is very obnoxious.

Firefighter Griffin: 4 stars, I didn't expect how sweet the villain was treated, also, love his spin off, the one star less is because I though the her was going to be a shirdal instead of a normal occidental gryphon because of spoilers, and was very dissapointed by that.

Firefighter Sea Dragon: 3 stars, very good, but also very disjointed with the rest of the books.

The Sea Dragon's Lion: 4 stars, the spin off of "Firefighter Griffin", as good as the main course.

The Master Shark's Mate: this should have been a spin off instead of part of the main saga, like the spin off before, disjointed with the rest of the books, 2 stars as part of the saga, 4 stars as a spin off.

Firefighter Unicorn: 3 stars, why unicorn shifters aren't extinct is something I don't know, the heroine is the best of the book, love her so much.

Firefighter Phoenix: 3 stars, the plot is good, but also a bit inconsistent with the world, as the antagonist organization existing in a world like that should be like very implausible, at least as big as it is, also the hero is an ashole and I'm of the opinion that he didn't deserved the girl at the end, but,well...

So I think 3 stars is a good rating for the entire collection.

Even though the First Mission is heartbreaking and heartwarming, the rest of the stories are full of friendship, danger, fun, and everything in between. I have to admit Hughnicorn's story is my favorite and Ash comes in a close second. I love the flippant Chase and his tension lightening comments and arguments. This collection includes a red dragon, sea dragon, unicorn, pegasus, griffin, and the Phoenix (with the Master of all Sharks thrown in for excitement).

Take a chance - I don't think you will be disappointed. And if you love this collection as much as I did - grab their kids stories, the Wildfire Griffin, Sea Dragon, Unicorn, Pegasus, Hellhound, and Phoenix.

second reading better than the first

This is the second time I have read this series and I liked it even better this time around.
All of the East Sussex Fire and Rescue family are like mine now: their stories are comforting, familiar stories of good friends, life’s ups and downs, misunderstandings and beautiful communication…eventually
Who wouldn’t want to have mythical shifters for friends and family?
I have not yet found anything Zoe Chant has written (under any of her names) that I haven’t enjoyed reading - and most of them more than once.

Kind of all over the place, but I guess that makes sense ...

There were minor typos. Mostly it seemed like sentences had been rewritten or inspirational went faster than words could be typed. The storyline is good. The pace is disjointed. It's fast then gets bogged down. The sex "scenes" are waaaaaay too long and drawn out, making it true "mommy porn" ... that is a shame, Nevada the book is good without all that.
There is an HEA, but much is not resolved, but the setup for the spinoff is fairly solid.
Overall, a good read.

Brilliant

Fire & Rescue Shifters: Complete Series Collection by Zoe Chant. Complete collection of stories about a fire crew of shifters. 1638 pages of stories that once you started you can't stop until you've finished. You'll be scared, thrilled but mostly laughing at the antics of this fire crew. Brilliant bit of writing by Zoe Chant.

Shifters delight

If you like hot shifter romance then this series has everything you need. Villians who turn out to be victims, hot firefighters, fated mates, misunderstandings, and of course happily ever after, once people trust themselves and stop over thinking. Even though you know it all works out in the end you will be entranced by the journey.

I was on a Sci Fi binge now I am on a Paranormal shifter binge and that is how I came across Zoe's books. Once I find an author whose books I like I will read them all and let me tell you Zoe has a lot. They are quick and easy reads. Some serious some make me laugh but all have danger and fated mates.
I enjoy paranormal stories as they take you away from everyday life and anything goes.

Fun, easy read

I enjoyed this series. It’s not earth shattering, but it was a fun read! I really enjoyed the characters. There was a lot of “getting to know” each other and that sometimes bothers me, but with the whole mated thing, it makes up for it.
