The seductive and stunning #1 New York Times bestselling sequel to Sarah J. Maas’s spellbinding A Court of Thorns and Roses. Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

Feyre has undergone more trials than one human woman can carry in her heart. Though she’s now been granted the powers and lifespan of the High Fae, she is haunted by her time Under the Mountain and the terrible deeds she performed to save the lives of Tamlin and his people.

As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre’s hollowness and nightmares consume her. She finds herself split into two different people: one who upholds her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court, and one who lives out her life in the Spring Court with Tamlin. While Feyre navigates a dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms. She might just be the key to stopping it, but only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world in turmoil.

Bestselling author Sarah J. Maas’s masterful storytelling brings this second audiobook in her dazzling, sexy, action-packed series to new heights.

Oof now that was AMAZING and this is just Part 1. Haven't even gotten to Part 2 and Chapter 55👀

Part 1 deals with the aftermath of the events of ACOTAR, following Feyre's journey in the Spring court and then later Night. We see her trying to cope and struggling, being void of emotions and then eventually trying to find herself again. This part ends at Summer Court, almost in an abrupt way but it's something I'm willing to look past.

Tamlin and Feyre's arguments and pain were captured so brilliantly by the voice actors. But Rhysand's voice actor easily overpowers Tamlin's. I loved how the three expressed the characters' emotions and thoughts so well. The chemistry is off the charts. The supporting actors for Feyre's sisters and Inner Circle are quite good too. The banter between them is captured brilliantly.

The way the city of Velaris was described was chef's kiss. I could picture it clearly. BUT my favourite scene in the graphic audiobook will have to be- The Weaver scene, when Feyre is sent off by Rhys to fetch the ring. The cinematic music, the sound effects, the singing of the weaver and the whole environment is created in such a chilling and creepy way, I got goosebumps. Even the Bone Carver scene seems mild compared to that. I think it's quite underrated.

Anyway, I'm off to start with Part 2 ASAP. Idk what y'all are waiting for, get this graphic audio!!

-Updated Below

WARNING!!!! I am not responsible for the type of person I will become while listening to this audiobook!
Please be prepared to endure the following:
-Way too many updates, probably incoherent in nature.
-The overuse of the phrase "Hello, Feyra darling"
-Complete and total meltdown when we get to chapters 42, 48, and 54.
-Chapter 55 will be a complete collapse of my mental faculties.

OK now that you have all been properly warned this is me running to my beloved babies Rhys and Feyre!!🏃‍♀️Who are perfect btw and I will accept ZERO criticism for. See you on the other side!! 😜

UPDATE
Ok, so none of my favorite chapters were in this part 1 of the audiobook but I still LOVED it so much!!

The voices for most all of the characters were fantastic! I still think Feyre sounds like she is from the Valley which is a little weird and takes me out of the story sometimes but it's not terminal and it doesn't really ruin anything so I can live with it.

This interpretation really does give something extra to this story and if you are already a fan of these books, I would definitely give this a try bc it's so immersive and it just gives a new shine on a beloved book.

Ok off to my SPICY CHAPTERS in PART 2!!!!! 😁😁😁

**Even though this dramatized adaptation is only for the book's first half, this is a review of the whole book.

Second listen / Fifth read:
Oh wow.

That. Was. Goooooooooooooooooood.

This dramatized adaptation is amazing. The voice actors did a splendid job; we could hear and feel all the emotions in Feyre’s voice. I honestly don’t know how I’ll be able to enjoy regular audiobooks after this immersive experience. 😬

Even if you’ve already read the book, hearing this dramatized version is a must. I highly recommend it to any ACOTAR fan.
I mean, I was already in love with Rhys and the famous “Hello, Feyre Darling” line, but hearing it was even better.

This first part stops (quite abruptly, but that’s okay) just after Feyre, Rhys, and Amren arrive at the Summer Court. Seeing how much I loved this first half, I can’t wait to read the second part (chapter 55, I am ready for you 😏).

_______________________

Oh. My. God. 🤯 What a crazy ride (I apologize in advance for the long review).

I thought I fell in love with the first book, but this one is even better! I can't believe how much I love reading it every single time. 💗 This book is my favorite in the series (actually, it’s probably my all-time favorite book). I can't get enough of Rhysand and how his relationship with Feyre went from hate on her side, to playful banter with unyielding support, to sweet romance. 💗

And I realized—I realized how badly I'd been treated before, if my standards had become so low. If the freedom I'd been granted felt like a privilege and not an inherent right.

This book picks up not long after the end of ACOTAR. Feyre and Tamlin are now back in the Spring Court, and trying to rebuild it, while also having to deal with their demons and PTSD. Feyre is deeply affected by what happened to her under the mountain, and we can see how she is slowly falling apart and how she is stuck in a very dark place. This book is about healing and finding strength and purpose, but we also get to realize that Amarantha was only the tip of the iceberg in Hybern's plan to wreak havoc on Prythian and the human lands. Now, Feyre needs to heal, but she also needs to do it quickly enough to be able to help Prythian get ready for Hybern and try to warn the humans too before it's too late for them.

“He thinks he'll be remembered as the villain in the story. But I forgot to tell him that the villain is usually the person who locks up the maiden and throws away the key. He was the one who let me out.”

I was excited to know what would happen next to Feyre and Tamlin, but mainly, I wanted more of Lucien and Rhysand. Needless to say, I was ecstatic when Rhysand interrupted Feyre's wedding! Especially since Tamlin became even more controlling and condescending in this book, he was quite a jerk. I like that it was kind of explained by his too-strong protective side though. He was a jerk, sure, but there is a somewhat logical reason for it, he's not just being a jerk because the author needed a reason to push him to the sidelines. Still, I couldn't wait for Feyre to get a break from him and to remember how much of a strong and badass woman she could be, and how she deserved to be treated.

"Hello, Feyre darling," he purred.
I shouldn’t have been surprised. Not when Rhysand liked to make a spectacle of everything. And found pissing off Tamlin to be an art form.
But there he was.
Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court, now stood beside me, darkness leaking from him like water.

This book is darker than the first one, mainly because Feyre is trying to deal with the aftermath of her trials under the mountain, and she has no help at all from Tamlin and Lucien. She is depressed, doesn’t eat anymore, can’t bear the guilt of choosing to kill two innocent faes, and is spiraling more and more into a very dark place, while Tamlin and Ianthe (a High Priestess currently residing at the Spring Court) are trying to groom her to be the perfect bride and perfect doe-eyed sweet damsel. She is not allowed to leave the manor, go into the woods, or even train to learn how to fight and defend herself, Tamlin goes as far as locking her up inside the house when he’s not there to protect her. Thankfully, Rhys and Mor were there to get her out of this miserable life. While I was cheering for Feyre to get away from Tamlin, I would also be curious to read some chapters from this book from Tamlin's POV.

"You’re free," Mor said tightly. "You’re free."
Not safe. Not protected.
Free.

There is also more action in this book. It is a roller-coaster of emotion and a real page-turner. Once she is finally free from Tamlin, Feyre has to decide what she wants for her future. She meets Rhysand’s inner circle: a group of shunned people sharing a bond through their dark past, but mostly their dreams of a better world. They all have their dark backstory, yet they survived and are now stronger because of it, just as Feyre becomes when she is allowed to heal from her time under the mountain and to have a purpose. They are all fiercely protective of each other, and it truly is a delight to read about their interactions and their banter, they had me laughing out loud many times. They are the kind of secondary characters that steal the show, and that you can't help but love, for who they are, but also for their precious, precious bonds.

"So I’m your huntress and thief?"
His hands slid down to cup the back of my knees as he said with a roguish grin, "You are my salvation, Feyre."

The Night Court is just perfect. With the descriptions of the magically hidden city of Velaris, and the people, it was easy to imagine the magic of it all. I fell in love with Cassian, Azriel, Mor, and Amren, I can't get enough of this gang, their playful banter, their loyalty and friendship, and their dream to defeat the King of Hybern and live in a peaceful, better world. I can't even be coherent and elaborate my thoughts about them. I just love them for so many reasons and I need more of them.

The bastard-born warriors, the Illyrian half-breed, the monster trapped in a beautiful body, the dreamer born into a court of nightmares… And the huntress with an artist’s soul.

The development of Feyre’s relationship with Rhys is one of the best I've read. I adore hate-to-love relationships and at the same time he was so kind to her and he cared about her happiness before anything else. He was there for her when no one else was, and he acknowledged her feelings instead of pretending they were not there (as if it would make them disappear). I found it so sweet when he decided to take the time to teach her how to read, and how he tried to make her see her value and helped her build back her confidence and self-esteem, but mostly, I absolutely adore that he always gives her the choice to do as she wishes, and he always respects her decisions, even when it hurts him. Feyre became stronger in this book thanks to her determination and resiliency, and also thanks to Rhys. Her character development is amazingly well done.

I had been so cold, so lonely, for so long, and my body cried out at the contact, at the joy of being touched and held and alive.

I can't wait to read the next book, the end of ACOMAF is just cruel, and I am so excited to see how much of a badass Feyre is in ACOWAR. What more can I say? I love Rhys, he’s still in the top tier of my all-time favorite book boyfriends, right next to Cassian and Lucien. I love The Night Court, I love this book so much and I miss my dear Lucien (he deserves so much love and a HEA).

"To the people who look at the stars and wish, Rhys."
"To the stars who listen – and the dreams that are answered."

"Hello Feyre darling"

This is my favorite book of the series but I've found myself less involved with this audio than ACOTAR.

Still, these dramatized versions are FANTASTIC. The weaver scene was amazing! The song, the action, the creepiness.. Definitely my favorite part of this audio.
Feyre actress continues to do a stellar job, Rhys... I'm not super into the actor's choice but I'm getting used to it.

Now on to part 2, I can't wait to listen chapter 54.

P.S - I did not remember Rhys doing so many traps and omissions as he actually does 🙄

5 Starlight Stars ⭐

**I am not going to talk about the plot in the book because I am pretty sure half the world probably already knows it...THIS IS ALL ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE OF THE GRAPHIC AUDIO!

I don’t actually have words to describe how much I loved this!
It’s just perfection in Audio form and takes the story to heights I didn’t even know were possible!

I would have that poor baby High Lord purr in my ear all day if I could and yes – I did rewind the part where he said “Hello, Feyre Darling” THREE times because I got chills!

The cast make this SPECTACULAR and basically if you have read ACOMAF or even if you haven’t –
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST WAYS to experience this story!!!
Everyone should just experience this, JUST GO DO IT NOW!!!!!!

I’m floored by how this exceeded any and all of my expectations. This dramatized audiobook covers the first half of the story and it is incredibly well done. The scenes with The Weaver and The Bone Carver stood out as containing the perfect amount of eerie energy to bring me right into those moments without feeling over the top.

The full cast of narrators was a great fit for the material. This was a magical way to experience a world of fantastic fantasy.

Immediately moving on to the second half 🔥

Love these audiobooks

Tamlin had me side-eyeing him a lot. Of course I’ve been looking at Rhysand differently since ACOTAR. The patience he shows 😮‍💨🥰. Gahhh.

Onto part 2. I’ll be reviewing the book as a whole once I finish and then read with my eyeballs lol

This is by far an amazing book that should be read on repeat. I decided to start annotating all the moments I loved, moments that foreshadowed, and moments that had higher meanings that were not expressed yet. Needless to say, I used all of my purple tabs from 2 packs just in this book alone for Rhys. Ugh my heart. Can I just have my own Rhys?? He gives false expectations for relationships....just saying.

Alright, I'm officially sold on this being Rhysand's voice. It's actually perfect.
These are such a joy to listen to after loving the story so much. It's like a whole new way of experiencing a beloved book, almost like getting to read a favourite for the first time again (but not quite).
Absolutely loving these!

I can't get over the winnowing sound 😂😂 but this is my first "full cast/dramatized" version and it's going to be hard to go back to regular audiobooks lol. Part 1 stops pretty much when they arrive at the Summer Court to get the one half of the Book of Breathings. Love love love, as always. Can't wait for the 2nd half of this one.

…the bullet points

- Graphic Audio Editions (Pt. 1 & 2)
- Book #2 in ACOTAR series
- Romantasy (romance+fantasy)
- fae
- definitely more adult than ya
- a little bait and switch…

It’s impossible to not see spoilers when it comes to this series…so I had a pretty good idea of what direction the romance would take in this second book. I didn’t know if I wanted to continue with the series because of it, I wasn’t sure the author could pull it off and make it feel right. It’s safe to say that I’m so glad I did since I’m 100% behind Rhysand and Feyre. She pulled it off and then some because this book was actually much better than the first…and that’s entirely due to Rhys. I have to say…he’s really quite likable.

There were things I liked and things I did not about this full cast version. I think ACOMAF is my favorite book of the whole series but maybe not this half.

The undercurrent of music going under all of the scenes actually distracted me instead of adding to the experience. I did enjoy the sound effects like her shoe flying at the back of Rhys' head though. The scene at the Weaver's was awesome. She's singing a song in the background and stops abruptly when she realizes Feyre is there and I was like ohhh this is awesome.

Looking forward to Part 2.
