Prey Island #2

Predator Point

Rate this book
Welcome to Predator Point. . .

Billie barely escaped Prey Island with her life. She fought her way out alongside the four men she fell in love with, a family formed in chaos. Two weeks filled with blood, desperation, and desire left their mark on her soul. The blood still stains her hands.

But just because she survived doesn’t mean she’s free.

The Hound Society is always watching. They’ve spent far too long at the top, free from consequences for their actions, and though Billie escaped them once, she isn’t finished with them yet. The Hounds will pay for what they’ve done and the lives they’ve taken. With that thought in mind, Billie steps foot on Predator Point again, savagery on her lips.

The prey will rise, and this rabbit?
She’s going to eat the rich.
She’s going to swallow them whole.

Squid Games meets Predator in this thrilling WhyChoose romance. If you love K.A. Knight, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti, pick up Predator Point now!

Kendra Moreno

Kendra Moreno is secretly a spy but when she’s not dealing in secrets and espionage, you can find her writing her latest adventure. She lives in Texas where the summer days will make you melt, and southern charm comes free with every meal. She’s a recovering Road Rager (kind of) and slowly overcoming her Star Wars addiction (nope!), and she definitely didn’t pass on her addiction to her son (she did). She has one hellhound named Mayhem who got tired of guarding the Gates of Hell and now guards her home against monsters. She’s a geek, a mother, a scuba diver, a tyrannosaurus rex, and a wordsmith who sometimes switches out her pen for a sword.

If you see Kendra on the streets, don’t worry: you can distract her with talks about Kylo Ren or Loki.

This was nowhere near as dark as the previous book in this series but the heat factor, the twists and turns all had been turned up a notch.

I’m so glad I stumbled across this series, this author, this book ticked so many boxes and I hope she jumps back into this world again in the future to give us more, because I never want it to end.

The guys, the puppet master pulling all the strings, the survival aspect, the sassy strong heroine made for such an unputdownable unique read, I loved everything about it and wouldn’t change a thing.

Amazing!

First off, this is book 2 in the Duet which means no cliffhanger and a HEA.

This book is not as action packed as the first one is, BUT you get to learn about all the mcs and how they are dealing with the aftermath of beating Prey Island. We see them find a way to be together but with the Hounds hounding them, and then the action starts, the mind games, the plot twist and the ending.

Which really you have to read for yourself and not find in the reviews, this is best read without any previous knowledge.

It's a great read from the first line of the first book, till right at the ending.

You will be mad at Kendra for sure but she will fix it before you want to throw away your kindle, phone or book!

If you loved squidgame, survival shows and a lot of steam this will be your next 5 star read! (Even if you don't like the first two things, you will love this book)

I'm conflicted with this one because of the addition of another member in the harem, a supposed bad guy no less! We spent a lot of time in the first book getting to know each of the guys and we don't really get this from Grand Master/Wraith (I don't like that we never know his real name). The guy's acceptance of him was surprising since he's part of the reason they were all on the island in the first place and the PTSD. I guess if the guys had hated GM/Wraith, then Billie wouldn't have softened up to him. Even with all this, I still liked the storyline...and gosh darnit, I softened up to the Grand Master too!

Half of me wanted this book to have the Grand Master as the ultimate bad guy and the group getting their revenge on him. A big battle where Billie kills him and the last thing he sees is the smile on her face knowing that he lost. I did like that the island was destroyed but RIP coconut crabs!

Other tidbits:
Candy was a dum-dum but then again I wasn't surprised with her decisions.
Crystal needs her own story cause DAMN GIRL.
I'd like to know more about the Hound Society and why the Grand Master isn't allowed to remove the mask and have an identity.

Overall I enjoyed it but did rate down a star because I wasn't expecting a love story with the bad guy.

Oh my God, Sweet Jesus, Holy Smoke!!! This book blew my mind!! Trust Kendra to make you feel the whole range of emotions in just one book!!! Don´t even know where to start!! We know the hotness levels are thru the roof!! Billie and the boys chemistry is amazing! in this book they go back to the island and chew more than they intended! I loved how true the awkwardness levels they felt in the beginning of the book and how they worked around the issues and doubts from being in the "real world" now. Crystal was awesome, I hope to read more on her later on. And The Grand master!! What can I say about him? I know you must be thinking: Why is he important? Well, you need to read the book to find out!!!

Potential spoilers

I really like the duet and how the men loved our fiesty FMC. The thing that threw me off guard a bit is the grand master. It would have made more sense if the grand master was actively trying to dismantle the society as well. Them fighting and risking their lives to dismantle the society only for them to so easily accept the (basically) the man in charge felt a bit weird. Especially because it was hinted that even the grand master has a boss; why not include plans to destroy them all?
Again, I really liked the duet, especially the kickass Crystal, but it felt a bit incomplete and rushed at the end.

Hmm, I liked it for some parts but others were.. Meh.
The grand master thing..kind of a twist in a not meshing with her own morals way, made little sense.

The sex was pretty repetitive after the first book although the fivesome was interesting.

I liked Crystal the best.
Overall I did like the duology although I don't think if read them again.

I'd read another book from this author.

Well, I didn't see that coming! Talk about a why choose! Lol
I will warn you, this second book is a bit of a slower burn then the first one, but still good as far as finishing the story! The only thing I wished we could had gotten was more on the Grand Masters back story, but I guess that's what keeps us so intrigued lol

Wow!!! I thought book one was intense. But this, was all that and more. I found myself falling more in love with Billy and men.
I loved their dynamics, individually and as a group. I was cheering them along. I felt what they were feeling.
It was an edge of your seat adventure from start to finish!
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

I absolutely loved this series. This book picks up right where the first one left off, and I won’t talk about it much as to not give anything away. This book is about healing, bonding, and revenge. There was a crazy twist and direction that took place that I did NOT see coming, but it was such an entertaining time. I loved it. I’ll never forget about Billie and her men!

what an effing amazing book! ... love Billie and the guys, their fierceness, savagery, determination, stubbornness and devotion ... even in the midst of doubting their own survival, they never let go of each other ... I promise, you will not want to put this book down!

I do like a bit of smut in my stories, but this felt more like porn with a bit of story. Too bad because the actual story was pretty good!

Trigger warnings and stuff in this book: sexual harassment, rape (implicated), gore, horny people, kinks, 10 spicy scenes

4.5 Stars

I admit that this was a great book even though I was shocked with the TEN spicy scenes that would make the book even better without them, imo. (I mostly read books without spicy scenes so this was new to me) I will never look at the UNO card game the same!

I never liked Achilles from the start even though but, okay . . . but it doesn't justify all the sh*ts he had done to Billie.

Achilles: *bad mouthed Billie and traumatized her*
*felt bad*
*apologized*
Billie: *Understood Achilles' trauma (even if she had her own traumas)*
Achilles: *Was forgiven*
Achilles & Billie: *sex*

Billie: *panic attacked*
Achilles: *He knew the feeling of having a panic attack*
*Proceed to make things worse by fighting Row*
*Accidentally punched Billie*
*Felt bad*
*Apologized*
*Was forgiven*

Achilles: *Saw a mushroom that makes you high*
*Gave them to Billie who has PTSD.*
Billie: *Got high*
*Hallucinated bad things*
*Was traumatized*
Achilles: *felt bad*
*Apologized*
*Was forgiven*

Smh.

I want to read more about Crystal. :< She was a bad b1tch.

Revenge of the prey

Here we get the prey striking back at the hounds as Billie and her guys plan for a take down.
I love this story so much, so good to see the guys bonding and becoming a strong family with Billie.
Some great spicy scenes with her and the guys, she’s certainly lucky them.
Such a well written story, so different to the usual plot lines.
