Who doesn't love a broken hero?? Well Ollie is your guy if so..
Back 14 years ago BOTH Ollie and Nikki lost their best friend, sister and the person to their trio. When that happened Ollie lost a part of himself as he felt he was supposed to look after his sister.. And after that fateful night he became dark..
Yet Nikki has always seen his heart, the bigger person he is and with that he's there to make him see it..
Ok I'm not going to delve much more into the plot but this story is more about healing, love and opening up to possibility of living again.. Its a slow burn to the core. And I've been intuiged by Ollie's character throughout this series, there was something 'hidden' that we just didn't know. He was a closed book yet he has such an open heart for all the people around him. He protects, cares and LOVES HARD. So when it came to Nikki he was just scared to hurt her yet couldn't help to protect her.. Gah I loved him..
Amys writing is poetic and just knows how to storytell its why I love her writing so much. You go into her world and you'll be delving into a world of descriptions, quotes and beauty..
Enjoy my loves Xoxo

I loveee Sam Towle books, they’re addicting and they just grab your attention. You don’t need to read too much between the lines and for me it’s the perfect getaway read. And in this one it’s a second chance Romance and that is my absolute favourite read cause you just feel the pain, the hunger and you want the healing. This is all that and more...
So what’s it about? Zeus is a heavy weight champion - a boxer!! He lives to box, he works out and he fights but back 4 years ago he let go of his true love. His childhood sweetheart but things happened and his head was somewhere else when he got big with his career....
Cam is strong, independent and loving.. but there’s something inside which screams fierce, she stands her own and on her own two feet. With a little girl on toe she’s a vibrant dancer that lost and got broke from Zeus, that said she holds her heart close to her sleeve and thinks with her head mostly..
What I loved about this, was as per norm it’s full of the feels but also full of the sexy. I love sports romances and I also adore second chance romances, this is equally good in both. It’s about family, loyalty but LOVE is the bottom line of this read.
I will say though this is very fast paced it didn’t take me long to read, so don’t expect lots of depth into it and just enjoy the romance for what it is.
Still one of my favourites and Sam just gave her all here.. and come on who doesn’t love that cover? Zeus is exactly what is portrayed in all that HOTNESS but also has a big heart and fights for everything he wants..
Enjoy Xoxo

This is a new author for me, I thought heck why not try someone new for a change so I took the chance, and wow it blew me away.
This is a book on 'Livy' and Parker whom fall in love with each other at the age of 16 to then have their hearts broken, years later to let time heal old wounds. This book is raw and the characters are nothing but beautifully damaged. There's though something so strong and powerful about the story and the words that are written here, there's a meaning behind it all that had me turning the pages time and time again.
So what's it about? Parker is a character that is full of regret maybe? A character that covers is body in the art he creates, but he is beautiful in many ways. He loves the one girl he's been into since a teen and you know in those times your emotions are full alert, for both Parker and Livy I'd say the cause to most choices are mis-communication. This read goes back fours years prier to present where you get the full picture, the pain, the love and even the friendship that blossomed into more.
Aside from the plot I'd say more so than anything this is a character driven book, it's about one strong kick ass heroine whom doesn't let anything get in her way for enjoying the party, she lives to the fullest. And then there's Parker who needs to make the best choice for his life. He's full of that inner Alpha when it comes to Livy haha I loved loved loved their chemistry, their pain and EVERYTHING that they are. Ohhh man Soooo many feels
To conclude this book is AMAZING, it's addictive, loving, sensual, beautiful and is the kind of book that you WILL DEVOUR in hours, I could not put it down. That is all, but please, please, please read this, I highly highly recommend it. It's a beautiful second chance romance, and who doesn't love those right?
Enjoy Xoxo.

Well this one picks up straight where broken by lies finished. Elisha is dealing with the aftermath of what has happened with Alex.. and then letting Sam take care of her the best way she can..
I'm going to keep this short and sweet as to keep this review spoiler free..
I'll say this book is as addictive as the first book, it's pretty fast paced and kept me on my toes buttt I'd say this is the book about pain, healing and moving forward. About letting go and then finding ways to live life. One thing I loved about this one is I felt more connected to the characters in this book, I felt their anguish, pain and love. Felt what they were going through.. and I devoured it within hours because of it..
To sum up this series kept me on my toes, had me turning the pages. Is addictive and is highly plot driven. Many many lies to find out so If that's what you enjoy then yes yes grab it, you won't regret it.
That. Is. All.

So what's it about? Emilia has been brought up in a trailer van in a poor area, not much of a rich lifestyle but she was rich in love by her mum. Who gave up everything to take care of her. Yet one day her mum got shot and so she's alone with no friends, not much money and know where to live. So she gets on a bus and travels in the heat to a motel 'for now'. That's where she meets Alex whom takes her under her wing.
Alex is part owner of the drug cartel, yet honestly he doesn't want to be, what he wants is to have dreams for his own life and he is actually loving and caring and only wants the best for Emeilia.
I know there are many reviews out there and this is an old book but I'm catching up before I read betrayed by lies which is the third book in this series and out next week. So I'm going to leave it there. But what I am going to say is this is a very high plotted read, you get to know the characters bit by bit and what makes them tick. Then there's also Sam the intriguing character that Emeilia makes friends with, which adds another dimension to this book. There's lies, secrets and then theirs love.
Why not 5 Stars This book had me hooked pretty much from get go and the more I read the more I was invested. Butttt I'd say it's not really realistic there was something that just didn't feel real to me, maybe that the characters were a tad closed off so it at times felt like a lonely read in terms of the characters connecting with each other. If that makes sense... but still I really enjoyed it and the plot thickens at the end I'm diving into bound by lies to see what happens next..
That is all...

Aly just knows how to write the best Alpha, protective and caring men. So when she says she's writing a series's for Bodyguards I'm 'of course' going to pick that bad boy up.. these boys are Alpha men, caring men and SEXY men and they do their job well.
Jude has always wanted to be a police officer from a child. He's idolised his father whom was an officer himself and wanted to protect his loved ones and his community. But one night a blazing fire, a tragedy had a different effect on two different people. And four years later both Jude and Rhio n are dealing with the demons in different ways. Jude looses his one love of the force and forced into working as a guard. But fate as it were brings them back together and that is where they truly find out what the others like but also deals with the issues and barriers that they need to cross to be healed and feel like they can live again.
What can I tell you, I ADORE Flawed characters, that feel they can't be loved and have nothing to give yet have sooo much love to offer. Jude is just that, he takes on Rhions scars and his own but realises that Rhion wants his too..
This read was emotional, loving and soooo sexy, it ticks all my boxes for sure.
And then there's Rhion who was so much fun to read, she had her scars obviously but she loves all the things I love well one thing SHOES a girl after my own heart. She's an author too writing her romance stories and so she was in her own head mostly but super enjoyable to get to know, kind of quirky and an individual that stood her ground especially when it came to Jude.
I'd say though what I loved about this book was the family unit the boys offered to Rhion, the protection and then welcoming Jude into the mix and my heart melted for them all..
I'm also super excited for more books from this series, there's so much opportunity and stories here.. ahhh I'm excited!
Aly is a go to author for me, but if you've never tried her then this is surely a series to start. Please please read it!!
That Is All..

I haven't read an AL Jackson book for along time, and so kind of forgot the magic she brings to her words and stories.. although this took a chapter or two to get into it once I was hooked that was it. I stayed up until after 2am to finish it.. which basically means I loved... LOL
Ok so what's it about? Ash is part of a worldwide known band but he's also the easy one, the joker of sorts. He's full of life, full of fun and goes after easy times. He's happy to give women his time but it's never special, it's easy and simple and that's that. But then one night he gets himself into trouble and Willow finds him nearly at deaths door and saves his life...
And that's where things change and Ash wants to give back to Willow something she's given him... there is attraction but Ash can't give himself wholly and Willow only ever sleeps with the men she is in love with.
Let's talk about Willow for a moment shall we? Willow has lost a lot of people she loves in her life and her absolute fear is being alone.. see Willow is full of love, if there ever was a female character I loved then Gah Willow is EASY to Love. She has lots of it and what Ash and Willow begins with grows into something more, something special and something for THEM.
I really want you guys to enjoy this the way I did. But know I devoured this, I think band and music themed reads are one of my absolute favourites. As you get those moments of unity within the band and group and family and pure familiarity 'you know' care and devotion between them all and this one really grew on me, the more I read the more I loved it.
I suppose ultimately it's about one who thinks he doesn't need love, and one who has a lot of love to give and that in itself is a beautiful read, it was fun, easy, sexy, and then emotional and unputtadownable.
On a side note this is part of the Bleeding Stars series but I read this as a standalone. So your good to go, I really want to catch up with the other books in this series though as I enjoyed this one so much...
Enjoy Xoxo

Oh boy!! I'm not really one for YA reads I'll be honest I love some of the sexy in it. That's said sometimes I try them and being I read the last book in this series I really wanted to continue on with this series. This through is a different couple, with different troubles, and different issues...
Jordan Tuttle and Amanda are the kind of hero and heroine where opposites attract, Jordan is Rich, popular and the star Quarterback at their school. Amanda is a regular, normal down to earth teen with the normal worries and struggles that you have at 17 years of age. But Jordan actually is attracted to the beauty of her and doesn't want the bitchy, winy girls that want to hang on to him like normal. This read is full of sweet angst, lots of #CuddlewithTuttle moments and the everyday teenager worries. Yet Tuttle is also the cold hearted, hard BAD boy and has a deeper turmoil with his family, so there's more going on with him. I love a stubborn, angry and yet broken hero's and Jordan was definitely that.
This is book one of two, I didn't realise that but I feel this is just the beginning of some sweet delicious teenager love. Jordan just needs to open up and let Amanda in!!! I'd recommend this to anyone who loves a page turner and also an angst lover. It's YA but also has mature content so I'd still recommend it to people who love NA aswell as YA!!
That is all...

BEST OF THE SERIES YET. Oh my gosh this was my fav, Ace, ace, ace. How I hated him after Jockblocked yet Jen Frederick wooed me with her magic and here I am in love with the Arsehole... Pure sports romance Gold is what this book is!!
So what's it about? Ace is starting new in a new college team, new life, new start! A fresh slate, he ultimately just wants to put his head down and win a championship within his new team as the QB! Well that is until Bryant makes him his new project and in project I mean make him into the loving and caring man he is. Just show his true potential until he's at a point he can be the perfect boyfriend for someone else. See where that's going? So I'll leave the rest for you to enjoy yourself but I will explain why I loved this so much...
Bryant OMG what a quirky sexy and lovable heroine. She was soooo funny and enjoyable to read. But she's very selfless and wants to please everyone else but herself. There is a vulnerability about her yet she's built a wall up that Ace is enjoying pulling down. I think though what I loved about her was her free giving nature, her easy exterior and that she was a family girl that loved BIG.
Ace Ace, the guy you will of detested back in Jockblocked is still an ASS yet that's just his personally, he just wants to be accepted by his team and be included in his unit. He's arrogant, mouthy, DIRTY MOUTHED which I LOVEDDDDD reading. But he is also caring to Bryant, he loves the people that are important and has no room for anyone else.. but hey who cares about that right?? I loved loved loved him..
Freaking hell, what have I just read?? I don't even know what to say... First off it kind of felt like being in h4 confusing as hell stars
[image]
Freaking hell, what have I just read?? I don't even know what to say... First off it kind of felt like being in high school getting mixed up in the wrong crowd and not knowing what to do about it? Mmmm and friends, (not the best kind of friends because they rile you up the wrong way) but friends all the same. Yet this also unputtadownable and addictive.. I read late. But ohhhh MYYY godddd how annoying are these characters..
So what's it about? Olivia/Liv had a summer away from her best friends to spend with her dad and on her return hoping to enjoy some time with her friends whom she's missed she is met with Em. But a different Em, a party Em who drinks, smokes and sleeps and messes around with the new football guy Ryan.
Gah Ryan is a douchebag, an asshole he goes after what he wants, he plays the game but he is also sweet at the same time. The perfect mix for the new footballer in town YESS?? One to mix the dynamics a tad yes??
I actually can't say I like Livvy that much she was In the middle of this train wreck.... Making bad choices, no communication with her friends but worrying herself silly.
That said, she has a new friend Amanda that kind of reminds me of the girl in American Pie who's in Band camp!! The likeable friend... So there's a tiny bit of leverage in this read. Something to breathe just a tad...
So anyway yeh I'm a tad confused by this story, it reminds me of high school, making friends and unmaking friends. A book of lessons I suppose, it's the course of growing up.. But it's one hell of a ride, heartbreaking, exciting, thrilling. And actually unputtadownable but you will get riled up in the process. And the stories not quite completed yet... So I'm praying they'll grow up a tad in the next book.
I loveeeee sports romance, when a PA contacts you and says hey fancy reading this book, and I see a football on the cover then 4 Sexy Stars
[image]
I loveeeee sports romance, when a PA contacts you and says hey fancy reading this book, and I see a football on the cover then that's basically all I need LOL... They're my guilty pleasure, I love everything about them. This was a delicious read, a new author and I'll highly recommend it to anyone like moi who loves a bad boy turned into a one woman man..
So what's it about? Hunters a player, lover of all things to do with the game, drinking and the ladddddiessss Yet he's getting out of hand so his father hires a PR to assist in his look and how he's perceived to the public.
Jo is totally business but she's normal, caring, average, and down to earth. So there's just something about Jo that pulls Hunter in her direction and that leads to a one night stand that leads to a complication that leads to a set up of sorts to the public eye.. An arrangement of sorts but an arrangement that leads to more and there it all gets complicated.
I'm not on the norm into insta love-lust reads which this read kind of is, but I found Hunters bad boy exterior to open up and find a gentle, caring a loving man underneath somewhat endearing. I really fell for his demur and gentle heartwarming character that he turned into. There is something broken in him that Jo helps to mend and so a somewhat hard hero turned gentle was really lovely to read.
If you love an asshole turn into family man. A sexy hot read. A book on a strong heroine and also a kind of lighthearted romance mixed with some angst then this sure is your next book.
Enjoy xo

First of all I'm just going to state how much this series means to me. I mean this series AS A WHOLE is a real getaway, if you 4 Stars****
[image]
First of all I'm just going to state how much this series means to me. I mean this series AS A WHOLE is a real getaway, if you want to check out of living and absorb words and live in a different place then this is sure a series that will get you there. Angst, friendships, love, school, boys, gah everything. And boy are Elle and Jen two authors to be reckoned with. I will forever read anything they write in the future cause solely they're fab together they are the perfect mix.
I'm not going to explain the plot here cause frankly you need to read it yourselves, enjoy it, get angry, sit at the edge of your seat and work out what's happening yourself. What I will say is this book is the icing on the cake. It is about Reed and Ella first and foremost and their love, their relationship. Whatever they have to tackle, they do it together. But by god expect lots angry rants, cause they tackle a lot in this one.
If you love books that are full on angst, books that are about booze, sex, bitchy girls, feisty kickass heroines. And a Reed who although to begin with has a love hate relationship with Ella he sure becomes the protective hero that we want to see. I really can't recommend this series enough.
Why not 5 This book has a very different feel to the other books, I missed the banter between the Royal boys and Callum wasn't a big part of this story. That said I'm looking forward to more books about these boys! 'Cough' Easton, 'Cough' Gideon<<<< I especially have big expectations for that one... oh the sweet delicious angst.
Above all though I love to love the Love/Hate trope and this sure is something completely different than anything I've read before. I've adored Reed and Ella's journey, the way they fell in love, the way they acted and the way they coped. It will keep you on your toes and this last book kept me going until the last pages.
Nicole Edwards books are a guilty pleasure for me, they're sexy and HOT. Plus add the ménage and I'm feet first all in, but with ménage reads you've gNicole Edwards books are a guilty pleasure for me, they're sexy and HOT. Plus add the ménage and I'm feet first all in, but with ménage reads you've got three hearts to contend with and because of that I do get a more gripping emotional read on my part I love them. In this one it was all that but this was a slow burn kind of story which meant you gradually saw why they were meant for each other.
So what's it about? Ashlynn is Max's sister and was supposed to be second in command concerning the way the mafia was played. If you've read Beautifully Brutal you will have read Max's story and who he is, if you haven't he is the oldest and the Boss of the family. Ashlynn did not want the responsibility of taking second in command even if she's well equipped for the job and is ruthless enough to take it on. Therefore Leyton took that up he is Max's best friend and was happy for the promotion, and he worked hard for it.
Leyton had a hard childhood and Max was there to pick the pieces up for him when that happened, he's been there for him through thick and thin and allowed him to join his family. Leyton has been included and always seen as part of Max' family from the beginning the only thing he hasn't been aloud to hook up with Max's sister its an order and with an order Leyton isn't going to back down. Saying that Ashlynn isn't going to back down with what she wants. And Leyton and Ashlynn have wanted each other from afar for a long time.
Enter Jase... Ashlynn has a very active sex life, we all have scares some are seen and some are covered, others are hidden beneath the surfaces. Jase is employed to take care of Ashlynn in time they become a way to release the stress. Except they are both missing something and that something is Leyton.
This story was taken from past to present over a period of time so you could get the whole picture of where they were, from to where they are now, and how they plan to get leyton to overcome his loyalties to Max.
I really enjoyed this one, Nicole's Men are Alpha yet they have that nurturing caring and lovable edge where they take care of their own.
Over all this was just what I love about Nicole's reads, sexy, HOT, emotional in parts intriguing in parts but above all a well crafted story slowly building to a strong developed relationship between three. If you love ménages, sexy reads and are in the mood for that then I definitely recommend this series. This can also be read as a standalone as each book is about a different couple.
I love a broken hero, they're one of my all time favourites being that there's something so needy yet Fierce about them right? And likewise MMA fighter reads are a guilty pleasure of mine. I love Alpha's, I love sexy moments and I love Independent heroines that these Men seem to attract, I also love the fun that came along in this one even though to be honest it took me the first quarter to get into it....
So What's it about? I am behind on this series I picked this book up because of all the reasons stated above but I have still yet to pick book one up. I was still able to follow the story so it can still be read as a standalone but I would still advise people to read them in order to understand the bond of Till and Eliza. I will most definitely be reading Fighting Silence in the next week after I finish my last few ARC's that I am going through currently.
Sooo Flint is left unable to walk due to saving Eliza at the end of book one and this book starts straight from that accident. Flint feels like he's in love with Eliza (his sister in law) and with the fact that Till and Eliza are happily in love and have a new baby plus the aftermath of the accident he feels like his world has been turned upside down, gone is the Fight and in is this new dark, moody and much more of A-Hole Flint. Now I love broken hero's and his world is a very different picture, he's having to learn how to survive and be on his own but he did annoy me slightly at the beginning and it did take longer to warm up to his character.
Ash is a pickpocket that's how she knows how to survive its the only way she gets money and its the way her dad has brought her up yet she is a GOOD person. She is not out to rob people and drain them out right, its a means to live and eat there is no other way even if she wants to go to school, in hindsight right now its all she knows. Paths cross where Flint and Ash become family maybe in not the best of circumstances but they do and in the first quarter Ash teaches Flint how to live and be himself without all the labels that he has put on himself.
Ash teaches Flint how to breathe, have fun and be happy in the darkest of hours...
But honestly it took me a wee while to warm up to his character, saying that once I got past that first quarter it got good I mean really Gooood and Flint fought to be in Ash's life for good...
There was a whole lot of fun times and Ash taught Flint how to laugh again and then later in turn he did the same back to her.
I ADORED Ash, she was one kick-Ass heroine I mean she really battled through life except she shone through she made me smile and laugh and enjoy HER. Ash is strong, yet there was a vulnerability about her that Flint was able to catch and pull her to him if you get me? she really did lean on him and him her in equal measure.
What I loved about this story is how the author has given us a couple that find peace and love in each other. They captured my heart because they NEEDED each other. They needed another half and they needed someone who understood what they were going through. This story was frankly refreshing in a way because the author wrote a story about LOVE with a difference. Tt doesn't matter what kind of disability you have the heart wants what the heart wants and that is exactly what Flint and Ash got. They got family in each other. I also enjoyed the dynamics of this whole family and it was great to spend time with Till, Eliza and Quarry and I really can't wait for Q's story to come out next.
Above all this was a really enjoyable read that warmed my heart.
I Love Nicole's books except I haven't read one for a while, to me they're pure Heavenly and take you to somewhere else which is the SOLE reason why I love to read FICTION and more so ROMANCE. This read was HEAVEN to me I couldn't put it down, it pulled me into their world and I forget Real Life for a while, this most definitely did that.
If you think you know him… You’re wrong. If you think you know his family… Wrong again. If you think you know his story… You don’t.
This is a modern Romeo and Juliet story, of good and bad, The Bad Boy falls for the Good Girl and the Good Girl falls for the DEVIL.
Maximillian Adorite was born into the Mafia lifestyle, he is one of the top men and he's a killer he has not problem killing a man with his bare hands and walking away like he just had a business meeting but jobs need to be done and he does them well.
Courtney Kogan is the good girl and is out to get the dirt, she's ferocious in her tasks and doesn't take no shit except she also knows how to keep her emotions close to her sleeve, she works for the Sniper 1 security under the power of her father and is there to do jobs for him even if some are boring babysitting jobs she does it for now because she loves her Father and she likes to the uncover work she gets the chance to do when asked concerning Max and their whole family.
Max gets what he wants ALWAYS except when it comes to Courtney, they both want each other, their chemistry is off the charts and they fall for each other except cant have each other, their family's complicate things and they live in separate worlds. Max worries about Courtney's safety and yes loyalty to 'him' and not her own family, its a tug of war of sorts and very much a Romeo and Juliet love story that had me gripped throughout.
But above all this is a LOVE STORY about two people who are from opposite worlds yet regardless of their lifestyles you can't help who you fall for, and Max will fight till his Death for the woman he loves he just wants her to accept him likewise.......
I would recommend this book if you love Exquisite love stories, panty soaking reads and people who love Suspense added with some plot twists along the way. I love Nicole's writing she has a good amount of depth into it which meant I connected to the characters at ease. This book is written from both POV's so you get both coins and the bigger picture, I think if this was solely from Max's side it would have annoyed me because at times Courtney wound me up with her feisty nature and fighting against what was in front of her and letting herself be happy. Don't get me wrong she's not annoying just knows how to stand her ground and with that came pain, all in all a highly recommended read from MOI.
The Southern Boy Mafia series is a spinoff from the Sniper 1 Security series. It has been set up to be read without reading Sniper 1 Security, however, the characters will frequently cross over, but I did read this one without reading that I do now want to go back and read the Sniper 1 series but I read this solely so its not a huge problem to go into the unknown.
But if you want to that first then here is the link:

I am now really looing forward to what Nicole has I store for the rest of this series and who is next, looking forward to some M/M next maybe???
I adore MC books there's just something raw and gritty about them, I love the brotherhood knit and family way of3.75 A good start stars***
[image]
I adore MC books there's just something raw and gritty about them, I love the brotherhood knit and family way of life they live by. I also love Joanna's writing and this is no different it was as fantastic as ever, saying all this it wasn't my favourite of her books but I still liked it! The beginning left me in a state of shock and the 2nd half had me sitting at the edge of my seat but the middle just dragged slightly. I also feel this is a great start to a new series and will just get better it was a good setup for what's to come. Overall it was a 3.75 star read.
So what's it about. The beginning starts with a bang, I was HOLYSHIT and also very excited about where the story was going to take us so very ready for the story to unfold.
Lets start with the fact that Puck has just got out of prison its his first day out and also the day he meets timid little Becca, Puck has an eye on her and consequently they end up together for the night. I'm not saying anymore with that just understand its on big WOWEE time. Becca hasn't had the best beginning in her life she's been brought up in the bikers world yet its not a good bikers world its where the men see the women as sluts and don't respect them as individuals or people, they're just there quite frankly to serve them. Therefore when Puck takes a hold of Becca and finds out who she is he and the Silver Bastards rescue her from her mother and 'step fathers' world so take her in, they give her the protection she needs to start to live and breathe.
Boring, comfortable, and safe. words to live by. Words I wished my mom would learn for herself. So far as I could tell, her favourite word was "drama."~ Becca
Fast forward 5 years and to present day.Becca wants sensible she wants routine she wants stability and she wants a brighter future than the one she was born with, she goes to school and she works around the clock so she will be able to have a life she's proud of. Which doesn't fit into the way Puck lives does it??
Ok lets be serious. Puck stays clear until she's at the point where he feels she's ready to let him in, lets also say their has always been chemistry between them and Puck is a Silver Bastard he's part of a club and all that comes with responsibility, its a different world but above all he's struggling to stay away from Becca, one night lays don't seem to cut it anymore.
Puck has watched at a distance and watched her build her life up again, he has let her become the independent woman she needed to become to get strong, to find out who she is and what she wanted to be, except it was now time to let her in and in that he hopes she lets him in too.
This was their story of self discovery and how they both actually need each other also a story about FAMILY.
Becca Becca Becca Lets not go over the Biker world as we all know it but it surrounds them both in more ways for Becca to accept, lets start with that she is what we call a bitchy feisty woman (slightly irritating) and has all the characteristics we love to read in the woman's world concerning becoming an old lady, claimed being part of the family. Except she struggled with herself struggled with her past and didn't want to become her mother therefore a lot of the story involved fighting within herself and Puck and what Puck resembled.
And so this story is about to me was about letting go of pasts and living in the present.
What I enjoyed I fell into the bikers brotherhood world I love these stories they have the grit and raw emotions/life/family that takes me to a world I don't want to personally live but most definitely savor and live through the pages of my kindle. I love how the old ladies all team together and support one another and where the men protect their town and get the jobs done, its who they are. All this a great structure of a fabulous read. It gave me a little of a KA feel concerning family moments around the table I always love that and because of that Joanna is a great storyteller I enjoyed that greatly. Joanna's writing still has that darkish edge and in Puck she gave us one Badass male that came with the right kind of mannerisms that I expect in a Biker and likewise once Becca gave into the life she should lead you saw and felt everything that she went through.
So why not 5 Stars? At the beginning I was gasping for air No Joke I was like WTF?? And excited about where it was going except it dragged in the middle there was A LOT of getting to know you basis. And not a lot of sex, I mean Puck is a man that takes what he God damn pleases so it was a different take, it did happen believe me but Puck took his time with Becca, maybe a little too long but once the story took hold I enjoyed the last 1/4. I do feel personally that this was a great beginning to a new series and a new look into the MC world because in hindsight this was more about the family and town that the Silver Bastards resembled. The Silver Bastards gave protection to the town rather than the MC world I think maybe that was what was different to me, I do think though that Joanna Wylde is branching out to more in her future books rather than the motorcycle world that we read in the Reapers with the Bastards its more about their overall protection of the place they live at and the family life they lead. All in all it was a great start and I'm really excited to see where this series will take us there's scope for a lot and I'll still be first in line for the next book that comes out.
Ok I'm not going to give a big review for this being there's already so many reviews out there and I just wanted to catch4.5 Healing Stars

Ok I'm not going to give a big review for this being there's already so many reviews out there and I just wanted to catch up with the series before I went onto Wicked Hearts.. But I am going to just say some of my thoughts..
Back in Bad Romeo you have one BIG ASS-HOLE when it came to Ethan and his feelings, and I'll be frank I struggled with the last half it started well but the end went on a lot for me I did enjoy it I just didn't love it. That being said I LOVED this one, Ethan very much changed who he was and I loved this new loving man that we have in Broken Juliet.
This starts where Bad Romeo ends and Cassie decides to give Ethan a chance. This book is very much about how two people work hard to gain each other's trust, to learn to love each other again and for Cassie to heal when it concerns her heart and herself as a person because Ethan broke her in two in honest truth.
What I loved * I just loved the romance of the theatre and the background theme of the story, the broken plot that kind of works in sync with Romeo & Juliet and the characters that became whole. * I ADORED Ethan's journals and getting inside his head. I savoured his thoughts, his pain and his love for Cassie. * I really liked how Cassie went into councelling herself and they both healed together. How she gave Ethan one last chance. * And lastly I really enjoyed the past and present bringing us back to present and giving us a full picture of their broken love story. * The Sex gah It was Raw, unadulterated emotion. Hand on heart it was never too much and had me loving their intensity.
This was very much a second chance love story in this final book and I fell in love with Leisa's storytelling. I have so many quotes highlighted but I suppose it had me squirming in my seat and I'll definitely read Leisa's books again.
I Loved this story what a ride I have yet to read The Education of Caroline and Sebastian so when I went5***** Beautiful Sensual and Magical Stars!!!
I Loved this story what a ride I have yet to read The Education of Caroline and Sebastian so when I went into this it was an unknown territory but I heard nothing but good ratings on Janes writing so therefore I went in, I'm a choosy reader so you will see anything between 3.5-6 stars that's because I have minimal time so I pick the books that take me to a place where I can getaway from my real life, this most definitely was a read that 1~captured my heart and 2~ took me to a place where I wouldn't go in real life, for that alone it is an undoubtedly AMAZING RAW AND BEAUTIFUL BOOK
PART ONE The first part is where Kes is part of the Carnie life he's the grandson of a lovable well know man who is a big part of the Carnival life they travel throughout the year where they travel from town to town doing their act, Kes is 10 years of age nearly 11 when this he meets Aimee, he's a hard worker and loves the life he's born a traveller its who he is, its in his bones and he's not going to change anytime soon.
Aimee is part of a family where she's not loved and is lonely, her father is an angry man he doesn't talk to her he just tolerates her and her mum doesn't stand up to him she does have a relationship with her sister that I suppose grows as they get older so all in all she doesn't think she's all that, she doesn't think she's attractive and pretty but just normal and therefore as time goes on she just see's herself as average and simple. yet on her 10th birthday she gets to choose what she wants to do for her birthday and that treat is to go to the carnival she's so excited as this is the one thing she wants to do she loves the shining lights and has been excited to go all week but when she goes her father in particular isn't very warm to the idea and holds her down making it a little difficult to cherish the time she has there until she bumps into a boy the same age who introduces her to his life, his world and the colours of the carnival and becomes her only friend who overtime truly begins to UNDERSTAND her but Kes travels so they have two weeks together once a year to be friends to be children, to play and to LIVE. They embark on an untraditional friendship and you would think this is a disaster waiting to happen, two different backgrounds two different lives but these two children need each other and over the years you get to live with them , you get to see for yourselves the true essence of being young and carefree to be happy enjoy the carnival life this is until they get to 18 and life has a way of turning the tables and changing the path they're on.......
What I loved about this half was the innocence and vulnerability of them as individuals as children and together we see over time a friendship forming to more.
PART TWO 6 Years later they meet again.... This is where they are adults and is a very different read it had (for me) a different feel to it. A more of a sensual feel to it more angsty will they be happy? will they succeed? Aimee is now a elementary school teacher and loves the job she does she works hard to be a good teacher and maybe doesn't earn ALOT of money but she's studied to do something she enjoys and doesn't want to destroy all her hard work. Kes is now more of a stunt man with bikes he's still part of the travelling life but he is a successful entertainer/stuntman. Opposites attract and they have something special something that not everybody gets a chance to have so they choose to spend the summer holidays together and see where it takes them .
"You want it easy? You want everything served up to you on a silver platter?" he shook his head. "Kes will never be easy, and the person who loves him won't have it easy. But if he loves you back, it'll be worth it, because he'll love you with every part of him." He looked down. "You're lucky."
Love is not safe, its hard, and you put your heart on the line in the hope that it doesn't get broken. There is so much on the line, so much we take for granted yet the heart wants what the heart wants and we are left with lot of unanswered questions a pretty mahoosive Cliffhanger and anyone would say hell no but I am sooo happy that I took the chance to experience this journey with them, there is nothing that I have read quite like it I felt like I was right there with them on a journey of survival of life opposites attract we don't always get what we want and sometimes the hardest of journeys are the most valuable and most special, it's a risk but a beautiful risk in my book.
This is a journey where you see what its like to be outside the norm and take risks live and enjoy the moments the touches and enjoy the times they had, I was gripped to the story and when it grabbed hold of me I couldn't think of much else.
I would describe Kes as Angry, moody, lovable, protective, a family man, sexy, sensual and a man that took many risks.
I would describe Aimee as always putting others first and always there for Kes every step of the way and although she made some choices that wasn't what I exactly wanted she always always wanted the best for Kes.
