It was a nice break from all the YA I read. I listened to this one as an audiobook and it threw me off a bit as the voice of Lestat was much older than I expected and very vampire sounding. In fact, he sounded a bit like the count on Sesame Street. Not at all the romantic, brooding Lestat I imagine in my head. This is an interesting chapter in his long, long, long history....more

When I finally figured out who Corio was, it was near the end for some reason, and that made it all the more shocking for me. I thought it was brilliant.
