While sadly, I didn't connect with Jazz as much as I wanted, I still enjoyed this book a great deal, and I appreciated the fun cast of characters it had to offer. I see myself reaching for this book again in the future, I love the way the science is explained, and the pacing was to my taste. I really enjoyed this comic. I liked the illustrations, they’re colorful and full of detail, and no two pages were organized the same way, there was no pattern to them. The random facts are so interesting too! I was so inspired to read up on things. Did you know that ancient Chinese emperors used to hide Pekingese dogs in their sleeves as a last line of defense? That sounds so unbelievable! That is the first fact in this collection, and it sets the tone for the rest, they were all equally entertaining. This book is fun, I think everyone can enjoy it....more

Sadly, I had a busy period and was unable to binge-listen to it, but when I did, she had my full attention. Her voice just demands it, her charm echoes through her voice. I loved learning so much about her life, how she got in and out of Scientology, as well as details about her acting career. It was very well-organized, every chapter felt like a whole and didn't drag out, but my favorite part has to be the way she read it. Hope she does more audiobooks....more

This was a great read. It’s really well written, in a fashion where the story jumps off the page and pulls you in. The writing itself feels smooth and intricate, Ms. Emory has an amazing writing style and it shows. The story itself was a breath of fresh air, I read it at the best time possible. I found the characters and the plot well-developed and interesting. This was an entertaining, but touching read, perfect for fans of Women’s Fiction. I recommend it.

Huge thanks to Chapter by Chapter for the chance to be a part of this blog tour.
Pintip Dunn gave us the perfect conclusion to the breathtaking series. Seize Today provides all the answers while presenting an interesting and unexpected plot. It was a joy to read, it was really intriguing, and I was unable to put it down. Mrs. Dunn’s writing style is consistent, and as always, her characters simply shine. For a decent chunk of the 00s and 10s (good) YA standalones were hard to find. Every kind of successful release got a sequel. So actually getting an organized, well-developed series that has one invested on every page, a series with memorable characters and an original plot behind it feels like a blessing. That’s what Pintip Dunn brought to the table with this series, it’s why you should pick it up if you haven’t. I doubt that you’ll be disappointed.

The Agony of Bun O’Keefe is one of my favorite reads from this summer, it left me wishing for more. This review is also on my blog illbefinealonereads
The Agony of Bun O’Keefe is one of my favorite reads from this summer, it left me wishing for more. The story touches on serious subjects, but the writing itself is really airy which makes it impossible to put it down. Mrs. Smith does an amazing job of bringing the story to the reader, I found it easy to relate to the events, the emotion just jumps off the page. I found the characters well developed, their relationships were fun to witness. I can’t wait to get my hands on another of Heather Smith’s books. This is the perfect read for fans of YA.

I've said A huge thanks to the publisher for offering me a copy of this book in exchange for a review. This has not affected my opinion in any matter.
I've said this before, but Catherine Barry has become one of my favorite authors. Her writing style always shines, and the characters she writes are relatable. Whatever story she tells, she makes sure that the setting is as realistic as possible. The same stands for this book too. This Woman's Work is a story of a woman who checks herself into rehab for abusing pain killers (fueled by a very long battle with depression). In rehab she meets people who understand her struggle better than anyone else. At first glance, the summary reminded me of 27 Days, a movie I love. And while the subject is similar, they're not the same. I really enjoyed it, I enjoyed the plot, the idea behind it. I think it was executed well, in a positive atmosphere. Can't wait for her next book....more

I have a hard time falling in love with sci-fi reads. It takes me a few tries, especially The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, that one took me years. It's easier for me to follow it when it's on screen I guess, and most of my favorite movies are sci-fi (here stood a comment about how Arrival deserved an Oscar, but has since been deleted due to a few swear words and caps. it was all in caps). So when I read that it's a first-contact type of story, that's what I expected. But this book so much more. It's not a typical form, and the story is told masterfully, painting a vivid picture of Lagos, Nigeria. I can't find the words to express myself with this one, that's how beautiful it is....more

Mrs. O'Beirne writes beautifully, she creates smart and detailed characters, realistic and just captivating. She brings an amazing writing style, enjoyable dialogue and soul to every word she's written down. That's right, decently written LGBTQIA+ YA exists, if you know where to find it. READ THIS BOOK....more
This is a YA contemporary romance about Luc, a boy who's had a heart-transplant, but his body is now rejecting it, and Evelyn, his best friend. It’s a moving story that explores subject of death, and it features a road-trip to Oregon. I really liked the writing style, especially the masterfully executed double POV, which is hard to pull of. I loved the realistic characters, and their development was the most amazing part of it all, the emotional journey was beautifully paced. I have to note that the ending felt sudden (keep it bleak to keep it spoiler-free), and that I wish Luc had been a little less secretive (at moments it bothered me), otherwise this would’ve been a five-star rating.
I have to admit, those few sentences haven't been easy to write at all. After I finished Other Breakable Things, I had no idea what I thought of it. It took me three weeks to sit and write it down because this book is so captivating, and the story stays with you.
