A mistaken identity at an office Christmas party turns into so much more in Phillips’s third book in The Sterling Family Series. Just One More Mistletoe will leave you swooning and rooting for the characters until the very end!
As the year is coming to an end, Brandy Bloom is ready to start the next chapter of her life away from the bustling city and onto the suburbs of Long Island. Her life has come in a long way and Brady is at a point in her life where she is truly happy. Yet, it’s time to move on and she can’t leave the office until she seduces the man she’s desired for a while now. But her plans to spend the night with Stephan Corbin do not end up working out like she planned. Instead, Brandy finds herself kissing the wrong twin. If it weren’t for his brother that invited him to the office Christmas party, Max Corbin, would never had the chance to meet the gorgeous woman dressed as an elf. The minute their eyes connected, Max knew that she was different from other women. Their electrifying chemistry is what ultimately gives Max the more reasons to make Brandy his for good.
Though the story was short and sweet, Brady’s story packs a punch as she gets to know Max. It’s clear that they have a lot in common and they’re able to relate to each other right away. Brandy’s walls enables her to give people the chance to get to know her. Which makes Max that much more adamant to let her see who he really is and give her the chance to see if they can have their happily-ever-after. I would highly recommend checking out this book as well as any others by the author. You will not regret it! :)

As the third book in the Brutal Vows Series, Romig delivers a steamy romance between two powerful houses in the mafia and the cartel. Bound by a Promiseis filled with suspense to keep you at the edge of your seat.
At the beginning of the book, we are introduced to Dante Luciano, right-hand man of his older brother Dario Luciano, capo of the Kansas City Famiglia. As the youngest male heir, Dante has always been second compared to his brother. But now that his siblings have gotten married, starting a relationship is not on his radar. Until he meets Camila Ruiz at his brother’s wedding. She has always been out of reach, being the youngest Ruiz in the family. The age-gap between them is what prevented Dante from reaching out to her, though the attraction has always been there. Ever since his brother cemented their family’s alliance with the cartel by marrying the eldest Ruiz sister, there are outside forces who feel threatened by this new allegiance. Everything changes when those forces start to go after the cartel and his need to protect Camila poses him to ask her to marry him, not expecting just how much their lives were about to change forever.
I really enjoyed reading Bound by a Promise, the chemistry between Camila and Dante is magnetic from the very beginning. There is no denying that the two are attracted to each other, yet coming from two different powers makes it difficult for Camila to trust him right away. Liking him is accepting his world and she doesn’t want to be part of the cartel at all. There are rules that she doesn’t agree with and it makes it difficult for Camila to not develop feelings for Dante. He is not like other men, instead Dante really wants to gain her trust by giving her the choice of what’s going to be the rest of her life. There are dangers that come with their worlds and they are about to face their biggest obstacle in order to get their happily-ever-after. Overall, the story was solid and steamy, if you are looking for a forbidden romance than I would highly recommend checking it out. :)

Gina Azzi delivers a deeply emotional sports romance in The Defender, the fifth book in the Boston Hawks Hockey Series. Not having read any other books by the author before, I didn’t know what to expect before reading The Defender. Needless to say, I was impressed with writing and storyline. This second chances at love and new beginnings should definitely make the top of your must-read list!
At the beginning we are introduced to James Ryan, defenseman for the Boston Hawks. It’s been a while since he has gone out with his teammates and he finds himself going to Taps, a local bar with their significant others. It wasn’t long ago that he was that guy, the one with the happy and healthy relationship. Yet, it’s been over a year since his wife passed away and it’s still hard to visit places that they used to frequent together. It’s even more excruciating to raise his twins, Milly and Mason, in the same place she made into a home and not have her there.
Then she meets, Bella, the gorgeous bartender who looks at him and he is able to recognize the pain and emptiness in her eyes. He is drawn to her, but feels guilty that he might be betraying what he once had with his wife. But when it’s time to head home, he finds himself unable to deny the attraction and pull that he has towards her that they end up spending the night together. It would be months until he sees her again, this time at his doorstep as the nanny for his kids. They agree to keep things professional, but the more time they spend together the more James realizes that he might just met his match. It’s just when he is starting to let Bella into their lives that he finds out that there are things that he still doesn’t know about her, things that could prevent them from having a future together.
Isabella Andrews is one of the most sought-after nannies in the Boston Professional Athlete circles, who also happens to occasionally bartend at Taps. She has seen his teammates before, but never James. When she sees him for the first time they click and she can tell that he is in pain. James tells her that his wife passed away and she tells him that she got a divorced that messed her up. It’s for the first time since her divorce that Isabella feels like isn’t broken beyond repair. She never expected to see James again, until she is hired to be the nanny for his kids. Having studied children’s psychology, she loves being around kids and wants to have a family of her own. But there are things that she still needs to work on that keep her up at night and she won’t be able to have a relationship with James if she doesn’t fully let go of her past.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Defender, I was completely hooked from beginning to end. I loved reading James and Bella’s story and how it evolved as the two of them slowly let go of their pasts. It’s truly a story about losing loved ones and learning to overcome that pain in order to have a new beginning. The story felt realistic and emotional. The interactions with Bella and the kids is sweet and caring. She loves to care for them and they slowly grow on her. The chemistry between her and James is explosive, they understand each other and they are able to relate to one another. The ending was perfect for them and their story. I cannot recommend it enough, if you love a second chance sports romance with all the feels than I would highly recommend checking out this book. I cannot to read what the author comes up with next! :)

Forgetting August was one of those stories that was full of twists and turns that I could not stop reading until the very end. From the cover to the synopsis, Berg completely pulled me into a very interesting and complex storyline that kept me at edge of my seat. There were a lot of elements in the story that I absolutely loved and that somehow worked in the story very well.
At the beginning of the story we get to meet Everly, and immediately find out that she is engaged. Though she is happy with her fiancee, she still thinks about her ex, especially when she gets the call that she had been dreading for a very long time. Now she has to face the horrible past that she has been trying to move on from, but can't because she has to face the man that somehow ruined her life. Although we don't immediately find out what her ex did to her, we do get flashbacks of when she was with him that slowly reveal what actually happened to her. The minute she finds out that her ex is in a coma, Everly escapes her past only to get a call from the hospital letting her know that August has woken up. Now it quickly becomes a matter of whether she wants to see him or not. But that changes completely when she finds out that August doesn't remember her at all or what happened to him.
At that point Everly's life escalates rather fast when she realizes that she still has feelings for August and that in order to move on she needs to help him remember what happened to them. The only thing that she wasn't counting on was just how good it would feel to be with him again, that's when the story really starts to take off and Everly has to make a big choice in the end that could alter her life yet again.
As for August, the minute he wakes up from the coma everything around him is confusing and he has no recollection of what happened to him at all. His mind is blank and the minute he finds Everly's picture in his wallet, he makes it his mission to find her no matter what. But little by little he finds out what he used to do and what he did to those that he loved that he wants to change. August knows that he loves Everly and he is willing to change for her, but a misunderstanding gets in the way and they have to part ways.
I very much enjoyed reading this book, it was a page turner that kept me intrigued in the storyline and the characters. In terms of character development there really isn't a lot of it, the story was more of a mystery type that slowly revealed itself to us as readers. There were times when the story felt a bit unrealistic, especially in the last couple of chapters. Needless to say, I was shocked with how everything ended that I cannot wait to read the sequel because it's going to be really good. I can't really say more of the story, I feel that the book it's one of those stories that you just have to read without knowing much at all about it. Overall, if you're looking for a great mystery/romance story then I would highly recommend reading this book. : )

RATING: 4.5/5
Hayward delivers a sizzling and passionate romance between a billionaire CEO and a supermodel in How the Italian Claimed Her. This opposites-attract romance is about second chances and new beginnings that will leave you rooting for the characters until the very end.
As the CEO of Francesco Vitale, the legendary Italian fashion house, Christiano Vitale has worked really hard to rebuild his family’s legacy. By bringing his grandfather’s fashion house to new consumers, Christiano is hoping to do that by hiring one of the most influential supermodels around. But hiring Jensen Davis as the face of his brand has only brought the wrong attention to the company. With just weeks out from the launch of the most important collection in Francesco Vitale’s history, Christiano is taking it upon himself to get Jensen to take the job seriously or fire her before it’s too late. Yet, he wasn’t expecting to feel so strongly for Jensen or the need to protect her at all costs. Until she doesn’t show up when he needs her the most that Christiano begins to question his feelings for Jensen.
Having grown up in front of cameras ready to capture every moment of her life, Jensen Davids, is used to being talked about. With a legendary last name of her own, means that it’s hard to do anything without the tabloids finding out about it. But her sisters and her have managed to start careers of their own without their mother’s approval. Yet, no matter how much distance Jensen puts between them, her mom keeps bringing her back into her old life. As the face of Francesco Vitale, Jensen has been hired to be part of the upcoming launch, but it’s her busy schedule that has her tired and overwhelmed. It doesn’t help that her mom’s recent actions could jeopardize the job that Jensen worked really hard to get.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading How the Italian Claimed Her, the story was well-written and the chemistry between the characters was magnetic. Both of the characters have been through so much, they are ready to start fresh but not before overcoming some obstacles getting thrown their way. I loved the different settings in the story and that it takes place in the fashion world. I would highly recommend checking out the story and any other by the author, you won’t regret it! :)

In Paige’s latest sizzling romance, Brutal Bargain, a marriage of convenience between enemies is about to change their lives forever.
As the head of HR for the Sebastian News Corp, Adly Sebastian has grown up surrounded by wealth and antiquated mindsets. It does’t help that her family’s company is stuffed with traditional men, including her dad who doesn’t give her the chance to move up like her other male relatives. The company doesn’t have the most female-friendly environment, so when Adly gets the chance to get out of the company, she can’t wait to run her own. But that soon changes when Adly finds out that to access her trust fund she’ll have to get married. The list of potential suitors is short, leaving her with no choice but to agree to marry her brother’s best friend and her enemy, Axel Morgan. He is infuriating, constantly taunting her, but also happens to be a really good kisser. What starts off as marriage of convenience it turns into so much more the longer they spend together. Leaving them questioning their motives as we as their future together.
I really enjoyed reading Brutal Bargain, the chemistry between the characters is off-the charts no matter how much they want to deny the attraction towards each other. We have two individuals who have similar backgrounds, ready to go against those that have wronged them in order to create their own futures. Ax is ready to help Adly gain access to her trust fund as long as she marries him, he’ll keep her future plans quiet. There is a part of him that has always wanted her and now he has the perfect way to keep her close. While Adly is not looking to start a relationship until Ax starts to break some of her walls. He is everything that she wasn’t actively looking for, now she just hopes that he doesn’t break her heart. All in all, the story is swoon worthy and the ending will leave you wanting for more!

Having read previous works by Victoria James, I couldn't wait to read yet another more festive book by her. In Billionaire's Christmas Proposalwe get to meet social worker Allison Barrington, who has struggled in her life, but working at a homeless shelter has giving her a greater purpose and for that she has been also able to provide for her teenage sister. But things go incredibly wrong when her home gets caught in fire a month before Christmas. With all her hard work disappearing before her eyes, she does the only think that she could think of at the time and that is to go to her friend Ethan (aka long-time crush) for help. But soon things start to change when Ethan insists on them to stay in his house until things got better. It is then that between the holidays and everything that was happening to them, that Allie starts to feel the chemistry between them grow, and she wonders if they could be something more just in time for Christmas.
Ethan Dane has always had a thing for Allie every since they met at a friend's wedding. But at the time she had actually turned him down, but he always hoped for a chance to be with her. Now that she is staying at his house everything that he had hidden from her could no longer be a secret and that could risk their friendship. Soon their attraction towards each other grows and they spend a lot more time together at Allie's work where Ethan really shows that he is the perfect man for her.
I really liked the overall story of this book, it was filled with lots of holiday spirit and some steamy moments as well. The characters have kept their feelings to each other and when they realize that they want the same thing it is then that things start to change in the story. Allie is a sweet and kind character, she really wants to help others, whereas Ethan is more reserved and a typical billionaire who wants to get things done without a word. Yet underneath all of that he hides a secret that he has hold for a very long time, and it is when he he decides to do something about it that he realizes that he can't be away from Allie. From the cover to the synopsis this was a great book to read, the plot kept me interesting and it's just a book that needs to be read during the holidays. I highly recommend picking it up, you will absolutely love it. : )

Tempted by Mr. Write was such interesting and refreshing story that completely hooked me in from the very beginning.
Sheridan Farlow is a journalist whose assignment of covering the President's appearance has been given to someone else, and that left her with covering a romance book conference instead. She is not happy covering some romance convention that she has absolutely no interest in, but she goes to Las Vegas anyway. Upon arriving she starts to remember why she doesn't believe in love in the first place, but soon after crashing into a handsome stranger who also happens to be a romance writer, she begins to see things differently. Sheridan knows that she should be working on the piece for her editor, yet the more time she spent with Bernard the more she started to realize just how wrong she was about romance and how her future could be different with it. Soon things start to turn for the worse when trusting issues start to take a hold of their situation and she has to decide whether being with Bernard is worth it or not.
Bernard “Mac” Mackenzie has a gift for writing romance novels, and he likes it. He can connect with his readers and he actually believes in it. Yet he wants to write something different, but he is afraid of what that could do to his career. Attending the romance convention should have been just like any other that he has previously attended, but after stumbling upon Sheridan he immediately feelings a connection towards him and he vows to get to know her better even if it means convincing her that love truly exists. As the attraction grows between them so does second thoughts, and the both need to overcome their pasts in order to be together.
Like I mentioned before the story itself was refreshing to read and the characters were likeable. Yet, the story felt like a novella to me and there wasn't a whole lot of development, it felt a bit rushed to me. Needless to say I absolutely loved Mac, he is kind, handsome and he happens to be a bestselling romance writer. On the other hand, Sheridan doesn't back down and she speaks her mind (which I also like). Overall, it was a cute romantic read that will definitely leave you wanting for more. I would recommend it if you are looking for a quick read (since I did say it felt more like a novella than a full length novel). : )

Not having read any other books by the author before, I didn’t know what to expect. Needless to say, Travers had me hooked from beginning to end. One Wealthy Wedding is an opposites attract, friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romance worth adding to your TBR!
Having grown up among the wealthy elite of New York, Catherine (Cat) Peterson never imagined just how much her life was about to change the minute her parents disinherited her. Desperation is the finest motivator when she has no money or a place to call her own. So when she gets offered to work at a bar as a bartender, Cat immediately agrees. Not expecting to bump into her old crush and childhood friend, Theo Archer. He is still just as good looking and charming since she last saw him. Only thing time around, the tables have been turned and Theo is the wealthy playboy whose face is splashed all over gossip magazines, all showing just how life has changed them both. For Theo Archer, begin the housekeeper’s son growing up was difficult, yet what started as hatred toward Cat, ended up becoming something else the minute he kissed her all those years ago. Now destiny has brought them back together, to finally put their differences aside and see if they can find their happily-ever-after all.
I really enjoyed reading One Wealthy Wedding, the chemistry between the main characters was sizzling and steamy. They have a lot more in common than they realize and the story takes them on a journey to revisit old pasts in order to find their future together. Cat is set on to fight for what is rightfully hers, the company that her mom’s family worked really hard to make it a success. When Cat finds out that she needs to be married in order to claim what is hers, she doesn’t just want to marry anyone.
It’s been almost nine years since last time she saw Theo, so when he offers to marry her in order to change his reputation as well, she agrees. For Theo wanting to leave a legacy of his own is imperative to his career. He has worked really hard to get to where he is. But being around Cat has given him a new sense of direction and it makes him want to fight harder to win the heart of the one that got away all those years ago. All in all, I would highly recommend checking out this book. I cannot wait to read more of the author in the future! :)

Such a great series to re-read again and again, it's good to have the gang back to close the chapter of this series. :)Such a great series to re-read again and again, it's good to have the gang back to close the chapter of this series. :)...more
