I went blind into this one and I'm happy I read it.
Infatuation is a sweet second chance read with one hot H, who knows what he wants and does everything to get it. I also liked h and sympathized with her situation and her fear of history repeating itself. What their 'parents' did to them when they were young was just cruel and I doubt any loving parent would do that to their child. Thankfully we get to see the couples HEA.
A great read. :)
Safety-gang:(view spoiler)[ There is no cheating at all. H/h know they want each other, so it's a safe read. There is one of H's exes at the wedding, who thinks to spend time with H again but H makes it clear he doesn't want her. That doesn't mean she gives up that quickly. Also at the wedding night in H's POV there was a sentence that really bothered me while he was having sex with h: "I’ve never taken someone so intensely or savagely before, and it’s amazing." From the reviews I knew that it wasn't going to be a bad story. The more I read, the more I actually liked it. It's fresh, it's adventurous and above all it has great PNR elements that I love. I will admit that some parts were dragged out a bit but nothing I couldn't live it. All in all, this is a book worth giving a try and I know I'll read the rest of the books in this series. I only hope Calli stays a strong character and doesn't turn into a mary sue. Fingers crossed. :)...more

I loved everything about this story. From the plot, the characters and illustrations. everything just fit together and made the story really enjoyable and simply a fun PNR read with so many magical creatures. I wish this was a series, since I would really like to know more about these two main characters lives and how their journey continues. But as it is now, is also amazing. We get ending we wish and all is good. To be honest it's been awhile since I last felt so good about reading a story that really made me feel so much joy. I would definitely recommend it to everyone that enjoys something magical in their lives. ...more

Well...I expected more from the plot for this book. To me it felt almost like a filler for the third book. The first 20% of the story was like the first book, where the main couple wasn't on good terms. But after that the story picked up. The only thing that I wasn't a fan of was the ending. It's a cliffhanger, so no HEA for us - yet. What I liked more in this book was Lyla's attitude. She stood up more for herself and knew what she wanted. And maybe Gavid was more likable. Still OTT, that's for sure, but that part totally works for me. I like my heroes go crazy for the woman they love. I think the third book will be the best one, since we'll get all the answers and also the HEA for this couple, hopefully....more

Hmm...not sure how I feel about this story. I knew what I was getting into from the reviews I read but now that I've actually read the book I have mixed emotions about where the story is headed. I just feel like something is missing. Like I couldn't connect with the main characters enough. Maybe it's because of the plot, since there wasn't much time that the couple was together willingly, especially Lyla. I like the start of the book, kinda like the middle but don't like the ending. Just felt too rushed and left me feeling cold and disappointed. Gavin really f*** up. He did so before but this time I don't think the second book can redeem him in my eyes. Had a guy done that to me, man, he'd be dead to me for good! I'm not going to give away any spoilers, since this is such a short story. So if you want to read it, go ahead but be warned that this is not a book for the faint hearted. That being said, I think the second book might be better... ...more

And to be honest, I only read the first book in this series, so when I started reading this one I wasn't exactly sure what was going on, since the story starts with the heroine and hero already knowing each other and to say their relationship is simple would be the understatement of the year. They've slept together before, briefly, and since Sin is kinda responsible for the illness that's killing 'his kind' he's not so happy about having to work with her to find the cure. But aside from that, their chemistry is just wow. Leave these two alone for a bit and they can't keep their hands off each other. That's a love-hate relatioship at it's finest. Of course they slowly, very slowly, start to acknowledge their feelings of not only hate and annoyance for each other and I think that's where the relationship took a downfall. Since Conall has to drink her blood to provide a cure, he's also getting addicted to it and the end result is not pretty. Of course he tries to 'save her' from himself but the way he did it is just plain stupid and so unnecessary. He hurts Sin pretty badly and I was so proud of her brothers, the way they reacted, I loved it. Overall I liked the story but I wanted a good ending that I feel like I've been cheated out on. I'm not sure, if I'm going to continue with this series but it for sure has great potential....more
Wow, what a read! I certainly haven't thought that it would turn out like that! I loved it! This is not ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
Wow, what a read! I certainly haven't thought that it would turn out like that! I loved it! This is not the first book that I've read by this author and it certainly won't be the last. She writes amazing emotional stories and this one is no exception. The love these two characters have for each other is simply breath-taking and wonderful. Their journey is a mix of sweet love, tears and forgiveness. I'm so glad I got to read their story. This is a second chance story but to me it didn't really feel that way since wwe get to see two time lines. The time when they first get together and the time of their reunion. We don't get to see much of their 'apart' time, it's trully more a story of how they get back in each other lives and how they cope with what all happened that lead to that point. I loved both, Ava and Tucker. They have so much to give as characters. Their personalities simply fit the other and both grew up so much, especially with all that life threw at them. Some moments were so heart breaking and some were almost too sweet. As already said, this story is super emotional. Ava and Tucker have to find a way to let each other in their lives again and their history is making that really hart but at the same time it because of their history that they even have their second chance. Just read the book, you'll get what I'm saying. Surprisingly what hit me the most is the last 10% of this book. I did not see that twist coming. Just wow. Apart from that little drama, there wasn't much of that in the story and I really liked that. Sometimes you just need a book that can grip your heart not because of the drama but simply because of the emotional journey these two character have to go through. That makes an author not a good one but a great one, at least in my opinion. Apart from that I enjoyed reading about the rest of the characters. All in all, this story is so worth your time and money. :)

...And I loved it!!! Yup, I did. Gah, it's almost like watching the Kardashians only with more style and...well...royalty. *cue Lorde: Royals* The whole book reminds me of Tijan's stories, since there is so much drama and especially because the way the first book ended. Man, that cliffhanger. But thankfully we get both POVs so we know fast what really happened in that unfortunate last scene of the first book. And let me tell you, Reed really works to make things right. I was surprised by him POV and just how much Ella means to him. So definitely thumps up for him. As for Ella, she deals with the whole situation the best she can and taking her to trust Reed again takes a long time but at the end I think the story took the right turn. I only wished she would have thought of her sibling and best friend before she did what she did. That cost her Easton and the poor guy really lost it big time. It was kinda heartbreaking what he did to fill the viod but I hope he gets it together more in the next book. And now I just have to say some things about the witch and slut and gold digger Brooke. Wow, what a piece of work, that one. Seriously, I felt so unbelievably good at the end and I was really happy (believe it or not) by what happened to her. You know what they say, Karma's a bitch! Ha! She really deserved everything she got! And I hope her sister does, too! Just, juck!
We all know that this author likes to make us miserable by doing cliffhanger, right? Well...let's just say that if you thought the last cliffy was bad, you ain't seen anything yet! Be prepared to take on a rough ride and may the force be with you! That's all. Enjoy the story! :)
(view spoiler)[The H did not cheat on her in the first book! Also, I tagged it safe with exception becasue the h kisses H's team mate just to get back at him and they both know it, no mayor drama there. Other than that it's safe. Also, the ex of his claims to be pregnant with his baby but I think that's not true, she's a slut so... Also she meets an unfortunate end so there is no worry she'll do more drama. In general I really liked it. It's a fun read where two young people missed their first chance at their happiness but luckily fate gives them another chance at finding just that together. This is not a short read and I enjoyed that, since we do get to see what happened in their past that led them to this point in their lives and throuout their journey we see them grow, struggle, forgive, fight and love together.
Trent stole my heart! He's so sweet and such a great character. Yes, he has flaws, just like a normal person but the difference is that he tries to be better and right the wrong that he's done in his past. He adores and cherishes Cordy so much and I loved how he also helped her as a team member. His family is definitely old school and have his expectations of him but I'm glad it all turned all right for him. But he had to fight to get what he wanted and that's what matters most. As for Cordy, she's awesome! She isn't giving in to him at first sight and she definitely didn't forget what he's done in the past, so go girl for that! She has a feisty character but can be also woundable at the same time. Their chemistry is amazing and I'm so happy for them that they got their second chance!
Also, their friends are quite likable, yes, sometimes you wanted to slap them but who doesn't have friends like that. Because I know I do... All in all, the plot is great but the only thing that I felt was rushed is the ending. Other than that the story is a really fun read. :)

I admit I went into this story comepletely blind. I didn't know what it was really about or what other books the author wrote but I the cover and the blurb convinced me to read it. When it comes to sports and...well...athletes I'm always kinda wary, since they tend to be either real assholes or as recent events (like Nick and Iggy's failed relationship) prove, not as faithful as one would want them to be. BUT in this story, Nick, proves he's an alright guy that knows what he wants and goes for it. And I loved that. Yes, there were times I wished he was more possessive of Eden but when you look at the whole situation from a different angle, you'd see that in real life that's exactly what would happen, so I can't blame him for his decisions. And neither can I blame Eden for hers. With the new addition to her family, her future plans have to be re-evaluated and that's what she does.
When it comes to the characters, I loved Eden's mom but loathed Nick's. Eden's mom is so supportive and down to earth, just like a real mother should be. Now, Nick's mother is the exact opposite of that. She has this reality show and for me it came across as she just used her children and basically they were her pawns. It didn't matter what Nick and his siblings wanted from life, no, what mattered most is that she got most out of it. And that's just disgusting. No mother should do that, not if she really did love her children. But in the end I'm glad she got what she deserved, especially after we found out what she did in the past to her and Eden's family.
I liked the plot. There were ups and downs and also some misunderstandings but nothing that couldn't be fixed. The only thing that bothered me was the ending. I really didn't like the style in which it was written. I wanted it to be more, more descriptions, more character involvement, just more... All in all, I enjoyed reading this book and I would definitely recommend it!

Hmm, where to start with this story. There were parts that I really enjoyed, like how Cody and Kitty learned to be with each other and how their relationship progressed, especially at that tragic time that hit the whole group pretty hard. But unfortunatelly there were also parts that I didn't like, like not at all. I despise any drug abuse and the way groupies are steriotyped. I don't care if the character is not actually using drugs or they simply are in the room where those dang drugs are, I just don't care about that. I only care that the reader knows there are present and being used by some individual in that story. I feel really unconfortable reading about that, since we all know that young readers read books like this one and therefore it's not cool or alright to expose them to that. That's my personal opinion but you may have your own that varies from mine. That being said, I have many mixed feelings about the story.
I didn't read the previous two books in this series but I didn't feel like I had to do that in order to understand this story. We get to see all the charcters in previous books and I really got to like them. They are fun and each personality brings something new to the whole picture. I especially loved Kitty's dad and I felt for him and Kitty's family when tragedy hit their lives.
I also liked Kitty's character. She was fun and smart and didn't let others bring her down. She knew her worth, what she wanted and she went for it. Also, she was someone you could really rely on. Just a girl with a big heart. Hers and Cody's chamistry was off the charts, they were like fireworks but fireworks made from dynamite. Sure hot, super explosive and at times, super dangerous.
And as for Cody, at first I really didn't like him but then he started to grown on me. He really cared about Kitty and I loved that he fought for what he thought was right for them. BUT that one stunt, on Christmas, man, all that good just washed away. I mean seriously, you'd have to be brain dead or one serious asshole to pull that off. You don't bring a groupie/self proclaimed girlfriend to Kitty's family dinner and then say she means nothing to you and she just tagged along. Like, SERIOUSLY!!! WTF! And it's the first Christmas after that tragedy. What an idiot...
So, as already said, that's why I have so many mixed feelings about this story. It's a good book but those stunts...just unnecessary and not welcome. The epilogue is why I gave this story the exctra half star, since it was really cute and just what the story needed. A nice closure that leaves room for the next story.

Well, this sure isn't what I was expecting from this story. I though I would get, I don't know, something more dark or even more disturbing, 3,5 STARS
Well, this sure isn't what I was expecting from this story. I though I would get, I don't know, something more dark or even more disturbing, since all the previous reviews led me to believe that there is some doubtful consent and unmoral doing going on between those two main characters. As far as I'm concerned when you are given a choice and you choose maybe not your liked choice but a willing choice nonethless then I don't see that as something you are forced into, since you could have chosen a different path. But if you really want something you have to play with the devil and that's what Rachel sure does. But if you think that's a dark and disturbing read then you have trully never read a dark and twisted tale before. Like Pam Godwin or Pepper Winters or so many other great 'dark' writers who know how to make you doubt yourself and your own humanity. It's safe to say that once you've done reading those books, your view on the world and yourself will change. You will either need some professional help or you will accept the fact that you just don't give a f*** and that you have some dark tendencies yourself. But back to this story. I honestly don't have that much to say, other that I was a bit dissapointed by how the ending turned out. Levi holds up the story, that's for sure. He's one hell of an angry guy with a sweet revenge plan for the one person who he thought was his sun but in the end turned the reason he went to prison. And eight years in the cell will definitely change a man and in this case not for the better. He's cold and his only goal is to make his home town a better place with everybody willing or not. And of course to get his revenge, no matter the cost. And boy, he does that all. The only problem? This little feeling called love. I guess it's hat time of the month again, where I have to be all smiles and butterflies NOT. Over more than the half of the story those two characters have a love-hate relationship that slowly, really slowly, starts to turn back to what it once was. I was really looking forward to something dark and twisted to read about but instead got a story about regret, love and forgivness. I guess that's OK, too but I would have enjoyed the story more had I not read the previous reviews. Learned my lesson (hopefully).
All I can say is that this story is great for those readers who want a more emotional read that will maybe make them think about life mistakes and how people find the strenght to forgive and move on.

“You treat me like a fucking baby. I’m stronger than most, and I’m human. What does that even say? Don’t know? Let me tell you,” I yell, going toe-to-toe with him. “That I’m a fucking badass!” With that, Oceanus pushes me so hard, I fall back and do two rolls, landing on my face with a hard oomph.
...And on that note I'm out! I tried to finish this story, I really did but, man, the heroine is so immature and annoying it's simply impossible to read another page of her stupidity. All the other characters I liked, OK maybe not her father but they made the story more bearable to a certain point. I reached 50% and then sadly had to give up. I wished the author made Rebecca more mature and above all not such a weak character. She acted like she had all this power but when in truth she didn't know how to use it properly. Also, when standing up for herself she didn't use the right words and that made her look even more immature and simply put bratty.
The plot sounded interesting and for those of you who can get past her bahaviour, I think you will find the story quite enjoying. Sadly, I'm not one of those people but since we all have different book tastes I'm sure there are many of you who'll like this story.

This book is so amazingly beautiful!!! Rori & Kray's story is so emotional and so heartbreaking, I almost shed a tear or two and it definitely left me wanting for more! As far as second chances go, The Drifter is one of my favs!

My emotions were all over the place. From wanting to shake Kray for what he did to Rori to wanting to hold him in my arms and tell him everything is going to be alright. His character is truly so beautifully broken, the poor man. I feel like he never really felt love until Rori and Muriel. His past is simply horrible and I life for sure dealt him a very bad hand. Also his present life was not made from a fairy tale, heck no! He had to fight every day to basically just stay alive.
He's a lonely man whose life has been shifted out of alignment, tossed about in a tremulous course, and yet he's still standing.
I loved Kray and luckily for me I also loved Rori. She's such an amazing, strong character and what she did for Kray simply shows just how much their love is worth and how strong it is, even after all these years spent apart. She's a wonderful and successful young woman that knows what she wants and let's just say that the things se wants...she gets!
