“When you love someone, whether it be your family, friends, partners, whatever, it's like planting a seedling of yourself inside of their hearts.”
I was downright emotional after reading this book. Wish You Were Here was so deep, so heartbreaking and powerful. The plot wasn't what I expected to go but it completely surprised me and it turned my world upside down.
The story centers around Charlotte Ann Martin. She's someone who doesn't seem to have a sense of purpose. Along with her other jobs, she works as a waitress at Blackbird's Café but she doesn't love what she's doing. She also sucks when it comes to relationships as she was always attached to guys with issues. Then she met a high-spirited stranger named Adam Bramwell, a rich lawyer who quit his job to pursue his interest-- art. They instantly connected. When she spent a night with him, they acted like they're a couple who had been together for years. However, the next morning, Adam kicked her out. She spent a lot of days wondering why he never reached out to her again. Just when she gave up and moved on with a gorgeous baseball player Seth Taylor, Adam came back into her life and that time, she found out the real reason why he disappeared.
“You brightened the darkest time of my life.”
The storyline actually reminds me of the book that I've read before, When It Rains. They have a lot of similarities. However, the romance and the drama in this book were portrayed differently. I could say it really affected me on so many levels. I guess what truly made this book stand out was the unpredictability of it. I felt a little shaken by how unexpected the twist had been. It broke my heart!
This book isn't just a romance story but it also teaches life lessons to the readers. Making the most of your life and doing exactly what you love is its real message. It also reaches out to people who do not feel like they're worthy to be loved. Those who do not value themselves.
What made me feel attached to this book was the impact it gave me. I became lost in the story because the characters are just worth caring about. They're well-built out and well-developed. The ending wasn't what I hoped to happen though, but I knew that it has to end that way. Overall, this was a beautifully woven, tear-jerking story. Renee Carlino has done it spectacularly!
“Till death do us part is for quitters. I promise to love you forever. As long as there is love in this world, we will be a part of it.”

I enjoyed Fuel the Fire so much more than I thought I would. Rose Calloway-Cobalt and Connor Cobalt will always be one of the couples that would never fail to amuse me and make my heart skip a beat. The nerdy battles, the sexual innuendos, the steamy romance... This couple can do no wrong!
I thought we had the happy ending for Rose and Connor in Kiss the Sky but we didn't know their story was just starting. In this book, their supposed to be happy marriage is ruined by the mad paparazzi and columnists who threaten to make their lives miserable-- as well as Jane's. Past issues and scandals also keep coming back when Scott Van Wright reappears in the scene.
"She fuels the fire in my soul, the embers slowly dying, and she tries feverishly to awaken me.”
Their commitment to each other was tested in this book big time and I was awed by how devoted they were to each other. Connor was so tough as a brick wall despite the chaos around them, and Rose stayed calm and in-control of her emotions. I had a lot of favorite scenes in this book. So many hilarious moments too in addition to the family drama. And the ending truly made me feel satisfied. This could be one of my favorite sequels in this series. The depth of the characters continues to grow and the romance continues to burn. Coballoway all the way!
“There are rare people who will fuel the fire inside of you, who will awaken a dormant passion, who will challenge you, who will push you and better you. She alone is my rarity.”

I'm addicted to this series after all.
So many wonderful, tear-jerking moments have happened in Addicted After All that my heart screamed with happiness. This book was everything about Lily and Lo's happy ending. Although their journey doesn't stop here, Krista and Becca Ritchie concluded their love story in a beautiful way.
What totally pulled me into this book was how both the characters grew into better persons. Lily was still a sex addict but she has come to accept and embrace it without shaming herself. I saw the way she developed from being shy to being able to express herself and what helped her a lot was conveying her thoughts on social media and showing her true self.
Lo experienced some difficult times in this book, especially with his issue with his dad and Ryke's relationship with him. But I loved that he has gone against every obstacle here just to prove to everyone that he is not just an addict and a bastard but he is also someone who has strengths and capabilities like everyone else.
For me, this book was greatly executed. Yes it was lengthy just like the previous books but I loved every bit of it and to be honest, I wouldn't want it to end because everything was just too good! I loved the drama, the sizzling romance between the main characters as well as the secondary ones, and the hilarious moments. Not to mention the liplock that happened between Lo and Connor. Oops. I hope that's not spoilery. ;) But yeah, I just witnessed some sexy bromance there and it absolutely made my day.
I had a lot of favorite scenes in this book and I wish I could store them all in my memory because those are really precious. Now I'm excited for the next book, Fuel the Fire and see what's Rose and Connor have in store for us.
“You have the purest parts of my heart, and I'm certain that in every alternate universe, I'm always, always in love with you.”

Lily and Lo. Lo and Lily. This couple always gets the best of me. I haven't continued this series until now for some reasons. But rehashing Lily and Lo's story along with Connor, Ryke, and the Calloway sisters was such a happy indulgence. I miss this gang so much!
I could say that reading Thrive helped me reminisce some details that I hardly remember. I loved that it felt like a re-read to me. It brought back so many feels! What I loved most about this book was Lily and Lo's character development. I loved how their battle against their addiction felt so realistic to me.
It wasn't that easy for Lo to get rid of drinking temptations since it was his way of coping with problems while growing up. In this book, a lot of things got too tough especially when he also had to deal with Lily's inner battle against sex addition and during those times, he started to feel like regressing. I saw the way he fought hard not to go back to his old lifestyle and for me, that was such a brave thing to do.
Lily's growth was also apparent. It was slow but progressive. In the previous books it seemed as though her addiction would be impossible to manage but in this book I really felt her struggle towards beating it. I totally admired her because even though the addiction always stays with her, she still continued to make such a huge effort to conquer it-- all for the love for herself, Lo, and her family.
It was a great read as a whole. The romance was all around the corner and the humor definitely made it worthwhile. Krista and Becca Ritchie really know how to capture a romance reader's heart.

This short story takes place in the future. Our royally loved couple from Royally Matched are now having kids of their own and living their happily ever after.
I simply loved how Henry and Sarah stayed true to their love and commitment to each other and to their country. In this novel we get to have a glimpse of them as parents and not just as husband and wife. The way they raised their kids was simply awe-inspiring. And their children (especially Gilbert)-- they are completely adorable.
I especially found myself smiling at their balcony scene where they shared such a sweet and meaningful conversation and particularly reminisced their past. Ah, the nostalgic feels! This was such a feel-good short story and I wished there was more because these are Henry and Sarah we are talking about and you can't get enough of these characters.

Oh God, Prince Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook and Lady Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum might as very well overdose me from their cuteness. Their story was a complete surprise.
If you're familiar with the reality TV dating show The Bachelor, then that's what this book is like. The difference is that this book is a lot more interesting and the highlight focuses only on the male lead and his romantic interest and not with the other girls who are involved. When Prince Henry Pembrook, heir to the throne of Wessco, was proposed by a television producer to put him in the spotlight as the star of the reality dating show Matched: The Royal Edition which will be held in his castle, he considered it. After all, he's about to become a king and delving into this reality show will give him as much fun as he could have before he dedicates himself to the kingdom. The idea excites him since he's about to meet women from different royal families who will be vying for his heart. That being said, you might think he fell in love with one of the girls... Nope, he was rather smitten with the shy, beautiful librarian named Sarah who happens to be there at the castle, not as a participant, but as a companion to her sister who joins the show.
“You are every dream I never let myself believe could come true.”
I loved how Emma Chase made me think the book is about one thing but it turns out to be about something quite different. Diving into this book, I expected the story to have some estrogen drama like The Bachelor (or like The Selection) but I was happy to find out that the women didn't make the competition much of a big deal... like they were just pretty chill about it. They weren't even desperate to steal Henry's attention (which would absolutely lead to drama) so imagine how I became so happy about this. On top of that, I didn't expect some of the girls to be downright hilarious and unbelievable!
Reading this book made me feel as though I'm reading a historical regency romance and it has something to do with the vibrant setting, the well-described royal characters, and the rich storyline. I couldn't stop swooning over this book especially when we talk about the romantic build-up between Henry and Sarah. These two... *takes a deep breath* have the best chemistry than any other characters ever. I loved the absence of insta-love and how they started off as friends, getting to know each other without feeling an ounce of awkwardness, and enjoying each others company while they're together. Plus, Sarah didn't freak out while Henry is all over her. Their relationship was something that I don't often encounter in a book. It developed gradually which allowed their feelings to deepen in a way that really makes me smile.
“I think this is how it is when you're in love. And nothing seems too big or too scary, because you know whatever happens, you won't be facing it alone.”
What also made me feel remarkably drawn to was the way Henry gently treated Sarah at all times. He took care of her like she's a fragile porcelain and ugh... my feels were in overdrive!
Sarah is one of the most likable heroines I've read about. I liked her character so much and it's not just because she's a bookworm and I can totally relate with her nerdiness but because she's such an adorable lady. She's kind and she's not pretentious. She's also not whiny and you can't expect her to be too dramatic even if she has a somewhat dark past which is the reason why she experiences a particular neurological disorder. She's simply the kind of character that is worth caring about.
“Because sometimes, life is very much like a book-- we don't get to write our own ending; we have to accept the one that's already on the page.”
Henry and Sarah's character development here was also amazing. I loved how both of them grew to be the kind of person that is worthy to be called a King and a Queen. Their characters have a lot of depth and I felt really proud of them-- especially at that epilogue.
“I want to be a better man for you and because I love you so much, I actually believe I can be.”
In true Emma Chase fashion, there were lots of funny scenes that cracked me up. I also enjoyed the sexy times because why not? Prince Henry absolutely knows how to get his way. Ha!
“My story hasn't been written yeat, but I know it begins with you.”
I am so happy to have read this book. I actually felt kind of regretful that I didn't read it as soon as it came out. But I'm still glad I did because until this very moment, the story still lingers in my mind. Royally Matched, as a whole, was yet another example of PERFECTION in a romance book. There should be more books like this, please!

“So tell me, David Lisey, what's the meaning of love? Enlighten me."
"I've thought about that, actually. It's when you can't get someone out. They crawl inside you and they just live there for the rest of your life.”
Atheists Who Kneel and Pray has rendered me completely and utterly speechless. Tarryn Fisher has spilled her talent all over this book and delivered the story in spades! Her way of writing that is unique, poetic, and all-consuming made it easy for me to get caught up in this novel.
We are represented with a story of Yara Phillips and David Lisey. Yara is an English who has been wandering around the United States. This is her way of leaving her old memories behind. She has been to Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York, and Seattle and has worked as a bartender. One day in Seattle, she met David Lisey, a lead singer of a small-time band called Lazarus Come Fort when he approached her at the bar where she works and instantaneously asked her to become his muse.
“That's why people create art-- because love crawls inside them and they need a way to get it out.”
David and Yara's relationship gave me so many feels. One second I was so happy, in love, giddy... and the next second my heart hurt so badly. These two are an odd pair but their love story was beautifully woven in a way that didn't stop me from rooting for them to be together in the end.
I guess the thing that really made this book stood out was the depth of Yara and David's character development. Yara was this type of person who always packs her things, runs away, and starts all over again in a new place when things in her life gets tough and for me, it's not healthy because in every failure that she faces, she can only make one solution that apparently doesn't work for her. For some, her character may be difficult to like because she's also a narcissist and the fact that she's a commitment freak makes her difficult to adore, but the more I got to know her, the more she became real to me. I perfectly understood her reactions-- her insecurities. And I felt connected to her emotions and her pain.
David, on the other hand, was not perfect. He had made reckless decisions too like Yara. But you know what made him such a great character for me? It's the way he stayed true and committed to Yara even after the frustrating things that happened to their relationship.
“How often do we lie to ourselves and say we don't care about something when we do?”
This book was unlike most romance books I've read. It was emotionally charged and the way it was written was so profound, so intense-- the kind that leaves me wanting more. The chemistry between the characters was also electric and as the story progressed, their feelings developed to something more than just sexual.
Expect to find yourself riding a roller coaster of emotions when you read this book. I felt this myself and the effect was no joke. My poor heart was dragged all over the place with the push and pull between the characters. There's just something about this book that changes me and my perspectives and that's in a good way. I can say that I'm very fortunate to come across this book. It was unputdownable, gripping, highly-emotional-- in true Tarryn Fisher fashion.

Shacking Up was cute, sexy, light, and hilarious. There was certainly an apparent chemistry between the characters but there were times when I just needed a moment to find a connection with the story.
The story started when Ruby Scott met a hot stranger named Bancroft Mills at her best friend Amalie's engagement party. He mistook her for someone and accidentally kissed her. Then he coughed at her face. Ruby didn't know that the kiss would lead her to a series of misfortune the next few days because she ended up with a cough that she got from him. Worse, she was even declined when she auditioned for a role because she couldn't even give her shot due to her condition. What's even worst was that she's already homeless and her dad was pressuring her to go back to their home and work for his business. Just when she wasn't looking forward to meeting the Bancroft again, Amalie suggested that she should take care of his pet in exchange for a temporary stay at his place while he's gone for a business trip.
When I first read the blurb, I was really into it. It sounds really funny and crazy. It didn't disappoint most of the time. However, there's just something that's missing here. I needed a stronger connection with the story. At times I was kind of bored with the over-descriptive narratives that were trying to stretch out the story in the hopes of bringing out a slow burn romance. There was also a lot of inner dialogues from Ruby that was getting repetitive and it was kind of annoying.
The thing that I loved about this book though was Bancroft's perfection and well, the sexy times. I also loved the relationship development between him and Ruby as well as Ruby's character development. Ruby was tough in her decisions to be independent of her dad and follow the career path of her choice and she really proved that she can make it in the end.
All in all, it was an okay and decent romance read. There was lacking, sure. But I believe fans of rom-coms will enjoy this book. Not Helena Hunting's best work so far but I'm looking forward to reading her other works.

“He's the prize in the available dad sweepstakes.”
I have come to rely on Lauren Blakely to provide the best rom-com books. The Sexy One is no exception. Yes, the story was a bit of a cliché; yes, the romantic development may have happened a little too fast; and yes, there was cheese along the way. But, did I enjoy myself? Absolutely!
Abby Becker has been working for the hot, single dad Simon Travers for months as a nanny to his five-year-old daughter. She totally adores her job because it does not only support her studies and pays the bills but Simon's daughter is a total sweetheart and Simon is... well, the sexiest dad in the world. And she's been crushing on him. She's not aware that Simon is also lusting over her, though and the feeling is mutual. But would they let their attraction to each other move forward when they think to have a relationship while Abby's working as a nanny would sound so right and so wrong at the same time?
I loved that both characters are likable here. Both are well-developed and mature and responsible enough. Plus, there was no drama and unnecessary complications. Simon's ex-wife wasn't even a pain in the ass to Simon and Abby's relationship although she acted like a bitch to Abby.
This was just a light read and you could finish it in one sitting. And because it is laced with humor, you would definitely find yourself laughing out loud at some hilarious scenes. And oh, who wouldn't want some smexy love scenes thrown in the corners? I highly recommend this book to every romance fan who wants to read something light, easy, and sexy. :)

All In was a perfect follow-up to Full Tilt. It's a powerful story of starting over and emotional healing. I don't want to give too much away by describing the plot but all I have to say is, the book effortlessly took my breath away, moved me in so many levels, and made me feel happy in a major way.
Emma Scott's writing managed to surprise me yet again. The book was perfectly executed. The characters' dialogues made me cry tears of sadness and joy. I loved how emotionally well-balanced this book was and how the story progressed in a beautiful way. There were parts when I found myself taking a break in the middle of some chapters because I just wanted the scenes and the words to linger on my mind for minutes.
The romance in this book was undeniably amazing, sincere, and life changing. I have to thank the author for giving Kacey the second chance for love that she deserves.
“Whenever I feel I'm coming apart, you always hold me together.”
Everyone who loves a good cry and fancies emotional books should never miss this book and this duology. I would recommend this over and over again because the emotional punch it gave me was truly worth it. It's now officially my new favorite!

Eighteen: 18 is a teacher-student romance book that is laced with a dark theme. The story started off when Shannon Drake turned eighteen. Life should be great now that she's celebrating her birthday. However, that's not the case for Shannon. Life started to suck big time when pressure from her studies got into full swing. Not to mention the fact that her sister just recently died and she was left with a baby niece and an abusive brother-in-law. Turning eighteen also means unexpectedly meeting a hot, tatted, and sexy 28-year-old Mateo Alesci who's about to become her Trig teacher.
It's my first time to read a book written by J.A. Huss. Her writing? Superb! The steamy scenes are probably the ones that got me here. They were intense they completely rendered me speechless. Sexy scenes aside, I loved the fast and the no-nonsense pacing of the book. I basically read it in two sittings because the story was also edgy and compelling.
But.
As much as I loved Mateo's drool-worthy physicality (man, I really love the way he was described!), his stalkerish personality just didn't sit well with me. He was silently watching over Shannon a month before they met and whoa, how creepy is that?
I couldn't also deny the fact that the book was unrealistic in some ways, like how filthy rich Mateo was and despite the fact that he's so wealthy and gorgeous, he became obsessively attracted to Shannon who's only an ordinary girl and well, 18. I mean, with a guy like him, why Shannon? I want to know the reasons why Shannon knocks him off his feet. What's in her that got him?
All in all, it was on alright read for me. I enjoyed it. There were some good things thrown in places. If only Mateo was far from being a total creep, I guess I would have loved it even more.

What a beautiful conclusion to the series!

Although this book centered around Jensen Bergstrom and Pippa Bay Cox, there was also a HEA epilogue for all the characters in the series.
Talking about Jensen and Pippa's love story, well, these two are an odd couple. Jensen is a workaholic guy and is all so serious about his career and this is because of his failed marriage. Pippa, on the other hand, is a sassy, hilarious, and fun character who easily moved on after her boyfriend cheated on her. Their paths have crossed when they were on their way to Boston and their seats on the plane were just next to each other. Little did they know that they are bound to meet again in Boston for a local tour together with their common friends.
I didn't expect to adore this book as I found Jensen's character in the previous books and novellas to be quite boring, but wow! I was so surprised to find him interesting here. Yes he was totally reserved when it comes to opening his heart to relationships, but he has a soft heart for Pippa. I found Pippa's character to be amazing as well. She was just so chill about life and moving on that even if she had potentials to become broken hearted, she just remained calm.
This book was also hot. There were sexy times thrown in places but unlike the previous books, they were just light which was okay with me. :)
The epilogues in the last chapters were AMAZEBALLS! I love the HEA of all the characters.. especially George and his new boyfriend. LOL. I will definitely miss these characters and their crazy shenanigans!

I loved every bit of this novella. Will and Hannah just didn't stop being sweet! The way they remain so dedicated to each other despite some mundane issues in their career and profession is something that makes me smile. What happened here are lots and lots of fun especially their bonding time with their friends. I have a lot of favorites, too. OMG, especially that liplock scene between Will and George. LMAO!

Beautiful Secret was just an okay read for me. While I enjoyed the first parts of the book, the rest didn't totally pull me in. It doesn't mean that I didn't love it, though. The hottie British man Niall Stella is already enough for me to go on.
We have the characters Niall Stella, Max's (from Beautiful Stranger) younger brother and Ruby Miller, an intern from Richardson-Corbett-- the company where Niall is the VP. Although they work at the same company, these two are basically strangers. Well, except for Ruby's side, because she has been crushing on him ever since forever to the point where her obsession already leads her to become a borderline stalker. lol. When the two of them went to New York to attend an international summit for a month, that's when Niall finally noticed her. That's also the time when their sexual connection started. However, Niall has reservations when it comes to intimacy because of his post-divorce issues.
I couldn't explain the excitement I felt when I started this book. When I've read Beautiful Beloved where Niall was first introduced, I was totally charmed by this hot Brit so I immediately dived into this book after I finished the novella. The book started off great. I found both the characters' POVs entertaining and funny. Ruby's stalkerish abilities creeped me out a little bit but I was amused at the same time.
And Niall... Niall is one helluva man. I loved that he was not portrayed as most heroes in a book. He was the shy, quiet type of a man. Not arrogant and not a casanova, either.
What made me feel quite disconnected to the book, however, was Ruby's attitude when both of them were already in New York. I felt her character going downhill when she became sexually obsessed with Niall and all she thought about was sex... sex... sex... I mean, there's nothing wrong with it but ugh, she was sexually preoccupied all the freaking time and I don't know how she's able to handle her responsibilities in their business trip when she was horny most of the time. She was such a hot mess while she was with Niall and it's no longer amusing.
Thankfully, Niall made the book bearable. Setting aside his hot physical qualities, I loved the way he controlled his emotions and lust toward Ruby (Thank God!). When he said that he prefers to have sex with a woman only if he's in love with her, I admired his character even more. I loved the way he carried his work and personal emotions in a balanced way, unlike Ruby.
My vote for my favorite book of this series still goes for Beautiful Player up to this point. I wish this book was as good as the previous installment but as I mentioned, Niall Stella is enough so I still liked it as a whole.

In this novella, Beautiful Stranger couple Max and Sara are already starting a new life as parents to their baby girl Annabel. This was not just about Chloe and Bennett's hilarious shenanigans while preparing for their big day but this was also about their relationship with their families and friends.
I loved how this novella was overloaded with funny moments and more, more sexy times. I thought Chloe and Bennett are one of those couples that could really make you feel hot and bothered and that's because of the overwhelming emotions you'd get to feel while they are together. This couple has such an almost-perfect relationship that even on the bad times, even when both of them are fighting, they still end up happy in each other's arms. I loved this novella, as a whole. It's really a purrfect beginning for this amazing couple!

One of these masters was named Tane who slowly changed her perception about herself and the way she lives as a submissive.
If I would be asked if I enjoyed this book, well, I certainly did in most parts and I hate myself for it. lol. There were actually a lot of reasons to dislike this book. The cruel treatment of the masters to the women is one of them. But I liked how the dark, horrible situations that could happen in reality were portrayed here. The way it depicts the reality of a kidnapped and abused woman who eventually learns to accept and even love the situation-- (Stockholm syndrome)-- and even for the very odd reason that we don't understand, develops feelings for her captor, was so evident here.
This is one of the reasons why I admire captive books because they don't just take me out of my reading comfort zone but they present realism that some people don't dare to understand or delve into. This book, as a whole, was a good read. The only downside I found was the back and forth past and present narration because honestly, I was more interested with the past narration and I didn't really care about Callie's interaction with the detective who interviewed her.
This was totally dark, I could even say it has no romance involved. So if you are faint-hearted and a minor, I suggest you stay away from this book. But if you love captive books with a blend of BDSM, then go ahead and read it.
Oh, Will Sumner, my Will Sumner. Where can I even meet someone like you?

It's been a while since I've read Beautiful Stranger but the feels are still here so when Beautiful Player called my attention the other day, I didn't resist it because I know I'm in for fun, sexy times.
The story begins when Hanna "Ziggy" Bergstrom turned to her childhood crush Will Sumner to ask for his 'guidance' on how to change her somewhat boring life and learn how to go out, have fun, and date guys. She's been living a scholarly life ever since, focusing only on her four-walled lab and with this, her family thinks she's clearly missing out. That's why hanging out with the playboy Will Sumner is a great opportunity. However, she and Will did not expect the chemistry that simmered the moment they saw each other again after years and keeping up a platonic relationship is almost too impossible.
I can't stand how swoon-worthy this book was. Will and Hanna's chemistry was on-point and it didn't help the fact that both characters are one helluva fun to read about. This is your typical friends-with-benefits book but it's clearly one of the best when it comes to this trope.
Their sizzling hot sex scenes got me all fired up. I couldn't also get over some of the hilarious scenes... like when they went to Hannah's parent's place where the chaos happened. lol. Man, I don't think I can ever get enough of these two!
The relationship development didn't happen abruptly, so I was happy. I loved that their sexy times transitioned to something more in the later chapters because for me, it was so believable and realistic.
I think this is the best book I've read in this series so far. I still have to read Beautiful Secret and I hope I will love it as much as I loved Beautiful Player. Sigh. Christina Lauren never fails!
“My life was a beautiful lie. And beneath the beautiful lie lurked an ugly truth.”
There was nothing to prepare me for the magnetis4 Stars!
“My life was a beautiful lie. And beneath the beautiful lie lurked an ugly truth.”
There was nothing to prepare me for the magnetism of this book. I was simply blown away! This book is my first Cambria Hebert read and it certainly did not disappoint. The book was filled to the brim with drama and danger, the mystery spot-on and perfectly delivered.
In a small, sleepy lake town in Maine, an unconscious lady was floating in the water and was found by Edward "Eddie" Donovan. It only took one look at her to recognize a familiar face from his past. He immediately took her to the local hospital. After two months of being in a coma, the lady woke up without a memory. Questions were hovering over her head and strange men were just around the corner, waiting to attack her. Little did she know that the answers can only be found in the lake.
“Now my biggest fear wasn't what if I never remembered... It was what if I did.”
The book was unputdownable and it's because of the tight and engaging plot that continued to thicken chapter by chapter. The mystery was nicely executed and the suspenseful scenes grabbed me by the throat, so be prepared for this kind of effect when you read this book.
The fact that the story depicted abuse, the author didn't fail to capture the complicated emotions of the abused heroine Amnesia. I liked her character. She was brave and despite everything that she's been through, she always had the will to face her painful and terrifying past. When it comes to the romantic aspect, I loved it but not so much. Eddie and Amnesia's romance was heart-warming but it was hard for me to warm up to the insta-love and some cheesy dialogues which I considered the only drawback to this book.
One thing I should warn you about: The book ended up with a cliffhanger, so beware. I am excited to read the second book as so many questions are unanswered yet. As a whole, I highly recommend Amnesia. This is a perfect choice if you're a fan of romantic suspense and mystery.
“Cross my heart. Hope to die. You will forever be mine.”
