Epic bonus points for teaching me about lox bagels. I am such a slut for salmon this has opened my world wide open. Oh and for that 69. Also “mishigas” is a bangin word.
Minus a few points for many, many “baby” endearments, the nickname “Booster” ????? (worse if you watch Jingle All the Way every Christmas and know that Booster is actually Turboman’s loyal (and furry) sidekick ...more

I also love that she didn’t know he was a virgin and that she was also trying to meet him like a little mastermind UGH love that so much. The didn’t know you were a virgin is a fav microtrope of mine plus virgin hero so YAY.
I simply hated the narrator though. He sounded geriatric and just not right at ALL for this book. What a miss ...more

Virgin hero >>> I really loved the fake marriage house party setting. The relationship with his family was super sweet and I just loved the main couple so much. They were too cute. Reminded me a bit of The Secret Service of Tea and Treason for plot set up, but the characterizations were completely different (and the writing styles of course).
This series is truly so charming. The Sea Siren of Broadwater Bottom has to be the most fairytale love sparkles of the bunch✨Lost in the love trance…✨
This series is truly so charming. The Sea Siren of Broadwater Bottom has to be the most fairytale love sparkles of the bunch. Edward was dreamy, Elissa was a dreamer, and it was just so sweet.
I loved the progression of Edward’s perfectionism, and how he started to process and rewrite past memories. Elissa’s response the day after the “breakup” moment was surprising and lovely. It was obvious to see what the catalyst for their fight was going to be, but I thought the outcome was unique and made sense for both of them.
Edward was a virgin hero and truly he had not ONE clue what a real life naked woman looked like. His enthusiasm for her pleasure was perfect. I wanted them both to admit that they’d both gotten off after their initial lake escapade…for drama reasons. I also wanted maybe one more sex scene? I really liked how they used Ovid as a guide and wanted more!! Also the lube situation was so great and funny she was like what has this angel baby gotten himself into ...more
THIS IS THE BOOK I NEEDED AS BOOK 8. I swear I’m going to hop skip and a jump right the fuck on over bA repressed demonic angel, what’s not to love???
THIS IS THE BOOK I NEEDED AS BOOK 8. I swear I’m going to hop skip and a jump right the fuck on over books 8-13 bc they make me sad, angry, and sick. I wasn’t a fan of Lanthe getting her literal tongue chopped off or the drawn out ending (the book was like 15 hours plz let these kids just be happy for once) (I also dislike having to dislike Sabine), but I sped the audiobook up to 3.0x, built a gumdrop mountain pass, and got over it.
Knowing this series, the next book is probably going to be extremely depressing so I’m taking the wins where I can get them and those wins are Thronos and Lanthe bc I love them so much. (I also know Caspion gets a book and I sure do wish he didn’t have a head.)
This book to me achieved the missed marks of the previous six: you must go through hell to get to love. There wasn’t senseless torture simply used to make the reader and characters suffer. I’m so done with that kind of suffering being “necessary” for our main characters to end up together. It frames love in a twisted and sick way and that’s just not for me. Here, they were in hell, but they were getting though it together. That’s so much better than anything I’ve witnessed in this series recently.
*Spoilers* There was a lot of shit for them to get through, but I loved their journey. The way she healed him when they were grown >>>> and the way his brother was already dead! I totally forgot about that but thank god I didn’t want to have to deal with any forgiveness ...more
Christ that was a lot and like the last book made me more sad and disgusted than anything. Malkom was an absolute sweetheart and I liked Carrow but goChrist that was a lot and like the last book made me more sad and disgusted than anything. Malkom was an absolute sweetheart and I liked Carrow but god please let the suffering end it was just constant fighting between each other right after emotional moments or villains or breaks not caught. Like this book just felt so random there was no need for a torture island (I get humans are so fucked up that we would totally do this but ugh) and to break Regin’s spirit like that??? I’m kinda sick ngl
Their parts in the caverns when she was getting to know him were my favorite, tied closely with the three of them together on the other island. But that was only a fraction of the book. You just really felt bad from them throughout this entire book ...more

Okay I think I’m glitching because this book cannot be real. Megan Frampton thought it was alright to just give us a hero in a book club, the BEST and most SUPPORTIVE group of Hero Material friends I’ve ever seen, and my favorite trope?????? And she simply thought I would just be OKAY AFTER READING IT????
I cannot get over just how adorable Bram was. PerSUADE me daddy. Seriously idk what I’m on but the fact that he was a barrister and just so sincere about everything destroyed my peace. He had a modest set of rooms and he was worried about them not being clean enough when he took Wilhelmina home and I just think that’s the cutest thing. Screw mansions and manors I just want a barrister with a modest set of rooms and an immodest cock.
This book was just so much fun. There wasn’t really a third act breakup and the book was definitely low angst. It was absolutely fluffy. The only thing possibly fluffier than the book is Bram. Wilhelmina was a little bit dominant in the bedroom and she’s exactly the interruption that Bram needed. Both characters in the book were virgins, and their first time was perfect. Virgin heroes are my absolute favorite. And Bram had a little bit of a mouth on him??? It’s always the quiet ones ...more
This was definitely made me super emo and all warm and fuzzy. I liked the characters a lot but the plot didn’t do much for me for some of the book. ThThis was definitely made me super emo and all warm and fuzzy. I liked the characters a lot but the plot didn’t do much for me for some of the book. The narrator was great and I do think I’ll see to reading the next ones in the series. It’s definitely darker like a less cooky Elizabeth Hoyt? If you want the same soul mates from childhood only to be separated for many years thing but want something a little less angsty and dark, try A Scoundrel of Her Own by Stacy Reid.
The virgin hero was nice here but he was out of the gate banging like a pro (they were both virgins).
I’d be super interested in a novella of them just being married and happy with kids bc they faced some rough shit and I wanted to see them happy for longer!
This has to be one of the purest, cutest, lowest angst stories I’ve ever read I swear. I have more notes somewhere but 10/10 listen or the audiobook if you’re able to because Mary Jane Wells knocked this out of the PARK. Seriously I enjoyed this so much more than I think I would’ve if I’d been reading the physical copy.
