“Be a ghost, Scarlett. Don’t let him see you, ever.”
We didn’t get only one psycho, but two. Like double the craziness, double the mess, and double the trouble. Lyra and Thatcher couldn’t be more perfect for each other.
I liked the way Thatcher was such a narcissist, snobbish, and I truly believe that he has never been with another human being before Lyra. I just liked the way he talks and the way he dress. I mean he’s annoying most of the time, but I chose to ignore that.
“If you die, it won’t just ruin me, Thatcher. It will be the reason behind the slaughter of this entire town.” I grind my teeth, knowing my grief at losing him would leave no one safe. “Do not shove me away, then allow yourself to be killed and blame me for what kind of monster is born in my mourning.”
Lyra was so unhinged and I think she scared me even more Thatcher. I guess it was the way that her craziness was unpredictable. Also, the way she was so freakin obsessed! The girl was a proud stalker.
Their relationship was kinda hard to understand, but in a weird way, they just make sense I guess.

I loved it! This was the book I was probably the least excited for, I always tend to get attracted to and excited for the psychotic character’s book more, however this ended up being my favorite! The enemies-to lovers-to enemies-to lovers again plot line was so good! I mean it was so freakin frustrating and they made me wanna scream out loud, but they were so good.
There are only two people who can look the pits of hell in the eyes and not flinch. Those in Hell and those who already made their way out.
Sage and Rook gave me emotions, angst, sweetness, tension, and freakin chemistry. I just loved how their story developed. Rook was all goofy and unserious in the previous book, but here he was so real. The way he felt too deep too much, I hurt for him. The way he was torn between believing her or not after she broke his trust was so agonizing. Sage on the other hand was, simply said, such a Queen!
“What happened to you?” I ask accidentally, meaning to say it in my head. “Enough to know better.”
I don’t know why, but the scene where he burned himself in order to have a matching scar with her because she believed that matching scars makes people soulmates, will forever be living in my head. The book was overflowed with analogues tho which was kinda too much. Other than that, this was so good and it got me hooked.

This was such a tender beautiful story. The letters were my favourite part of the story for sure!! I loved reading their exchanges and the magical connection they had through those letters. They were so beautiful and raw. Roman and Iris relationship was so sweet. I loved them both so much. The world building was so simple and the story is easy to follow. This one wasn’t really heavy on fantasy, however, I really liked the historical fiction aspect of the story....more

Lucian and Sloane were everything they promised to be. Definitely my favourite couple in the series. Their banter and back and forth were so entertaining. They’re just so good together. Even though, the book could’ve easily been a hundreds pages shorter, it was still an entertaining read. I loved them.

The book was so good. I love Ali for writing something different and how it turned out so good and addicting. Those two have the craziest chemistry. The tension and every interaction between them was so freakin good. I loved how grumpy Misery was and how that grumpy shell started to slowly crack. I loved her sass, grumpy self, and sarcastic attitude so much! Also, how she cares (even if she’d deny it)! And Lowe? He’s amazing. I though I was over my werewolves loving phase but nope I was so wrong....more

It’s such a realistic story about two people who loved each other so much, struggled a bit, but ended up finding their way back to each other. Georgia was so relatable with the way she felt anxious about asking for things or affection or other people’s time. Also, her fear that everyone would get sucked into their own life and forget about her. Every time she talks about that I felt so seen. Eli is so precious in the way he loved her and how he desperately wanted to fix things. All of those paper rings he made her?? I can’t!!!!
I loved all the side characters and their involvement in the story. They were all so amazing. Also, all the talk about how the weeding was cursed and all those struggles they had were both so entertaining and anxiety-inducing at the same time....more

I had the day off, I woke up deciding to be productive and get things done. I was going to read few pages to get me motivated, but I ended up ignoring all of my responsibilities and studies and finishing the whole book. Once I started this I just couldn’t stop or put it down. It’s been a while since I’ve finished a book in one day. I loved it so much.
Seriously, the banter was too good. The chemistry was so freakin explosive. The bickering was highly entertaining. There was no boring moment with these two. They were so perfect. They made me laugh so hard, blush too much, giggle like a fool, and they got me feeling so emotional with the hard stuff they had to deal with.
I loved the ballroom dancing story line and their training. Also Shane dedication to the whole thing. I loved the HOA meetings and those entertaining neighbors. The reality TV show watching. The set of characters; old and new. I can’t wait to read more about them. The fake dating was just so enjoyable. I loved both of their characters so much!! I could write detailed essays about their characters. I really loved them....more

“You were right. Everyone has a favorite work of art. You’re mine.”
This is my most surprising book of the year. It was just pure entertainment and was so hilarious. I had so very low expectations for this, because a) I didn’t enjoy the first book, it gave me a headache. b) I didn’t like any of the books I read by the author. However I was interested in this mainly because of the virgin hero who couldn’t tolerate human’s touch. Also, that cover is gorgeous.
To be honest, the book had its cringe moments, was so unhinged, so unserious, and didn’t need to be that long. However, there’s also the fact that he was such a boy obsessed and I couldn’t resist his persistence. Him following her around and chasing her was a delight. Farrow was just so cool! She’s a cool chick. I just loved her attitude and sass. How she helped him and made him suffer both at the same time was so enjoyable to read about. I had such a fun time with this....more

”You lost someone you just met. I’ve lost my best friend. You’ve known me for weeks… I’ve loved you for years.”
In 2019, I remember binge reading both the author’s “More than” and “Preston brothers” series so fast. I just fell in love with Jay’s writing and her emotional complicated stories. Reading this book reminded me of that feeling I got when I was a teenager binge reading emotional series while everyone kept on telling me “to get a life”. This book just made me want to go back and reread some of my favorites by her.
“I’ve never said goodbye to you, Rhys,” she murmurs, arms around her waist as she talks to the ground beneath us. I step toward her, expecting her to pull back. She doesn’t. “It’s always goodnight with you,” she says. “Never goodbye.”
The story was truly beautiful and have heart. I struggled a little bit with the time jumps, but otherwise it was such a beautiful book. I loved the characters and the dialogues. The writing was just so amazing and emotional. It’s been a while since I’ve read a good new adult book. I finished it in one setting. I really loved it....more
