A well-written adventure-style dungeon core. The story takes place right after the first, with some people even believing Lich to be dead. Due to his injuries, Grazzle picks up a piece of the core and uses it to empower herself in order to protect her adventuring party. Unfortunately, Lich seems to have void powers (powerful, corrupting forces) that are both very useful and very dangerous.
When the power takes over Grazzle, it's up to Lich to save his fairy and his ghiest (who plays boss music whenever adventurers are fighting, lol).
I really enjoy the characters in this. It's definitely their story. The dungeon building is heavily focused on cool boss fights, which is where the novel really shines. If you like cool characters, cooler magic, and epic fights, this is for you....more
I really enjoy, Nova, the Superman-esque hero who takes Lucas under his wing. Their dynamic and relationship was fufun dungeon core, great superheroes
I really enjoy, Nova, the Superman-esque hero who takes Lucas under his wing. Their dynamic and relationship was fun to watch, especially later, when Nova’s daughter comes into the picture.
Sam, the dungeon core, gets a dungeon buddy, and that’s also a super fun dynamic. It’s an evil core, and Sam has to convince him to join the good guys.
All of it is fun and wrapped up in a ton of hilarious jokes. Good times....more

Lich (who can’t remember his past life correctly) makes some fantastic mobs (their names are half the joy - Coffinphase being my favorite). The villain is creepy, the story fast and tense… It doesn’t get much better than this. I highly recommend!...more

This is a fantastic continuation to Cor’s and Kate’s relationship. This time around, we get to see how Cor handles Earth (I love fish out of water scenes!!) and it’s great when he introduces himself to all of Kate’s friends.
The drama is there when Cor gets in some trouble, and I love that Kate steps up to the plate to rescue him!
