I found I was very interested in Gabriel. Maybe because he was the oldest and I could relate to him the best. I think my favorite scene was actually when the demon showed up. He added a lot to the story. I had no idea the author wrote this book when she was only fourteen. Wow! I can't even imagine such a thing when I was that age.

Quotes Colleen Liked

“One of the most frustrating words in the human language, as far as I could tell, was love.
So much meaning attached to this one little word. People bandied it about freely, using it to
describe their attachments to possessions, pets, vacation destinations, and favorite foods. In the
same breath they then applied this word to the person they considered most important in their
lives. Wasn’t that insulting? Shouldn’t there be some other term to describe deeper emotion?”
Alexandra Adornetto, Halo

Kealy I didn't realize that the author was so young!! That's impressive. I take back my comments about the typos now!

Jade Thank you for not hating it, its such a good book if not a little narrow minded and religious.

Crystal Thank you finally! So many of these reviews infuriate me with people stating how horrible this book is, trying to morph it in a direction it's not even going in. It's supposed to be a sweet naive text and yes there's flaws but for 14 it's fairly exceptional.
