Best read of 40k ever!!
Aaron Dembski-Bowden has been able to create funny characters within a realm that knows only war. From the efforts of a grey knight to comprehend human emotions and intimacy to an inquisitor who knows her roots in Fenris. The pacing of the book was great at detailing what was going on, it only took a few re-reads to grasp a scenario because it was so quick! Also, the Space Wolves don't disappoint with their character, especially at one part, which was very fun to imagine how it went.
Honestly, this could be a great book to start 40k as it introduces you to the grey knights and their cultures, meanwhile showing the daily life and judgement inquisitors must face, meanwhile showcasing the overall difficulty of facing humanity's threat against the forces of chaos.
