Sorry, this has sat in my Kindle for months and, after trying to read the first couple chapters I just didn't care enough to go on.

I was hoping for an updated version of

Georgette Heyer's classic

Venetia about a virginal young woman who befriends and falls in love with a rake who is a great deal more than his public reputation suggests. This book isn't it....
