I also liked this one. Some of the same characters appear in other books by Binchy, though off the top of my head I can't recall which characters or which books. I came late to the BInchy fan club, but I will definitely miss her now that she's passed.
Binchy was always my "beach read" go to when I was entertaining my small child during the summer months-they were great reads that could be put down, when the child became obnoxious, then picked right back up😉
I loved this! Plus, it was a perfect Greece read for you, Cindy!
I'm about halfway through and enjoying- nice and light, easy to read.

Funny, I've read quite a few others by her and often do "recognize" some of the characters, but I didn't remember any of them in this book. Maybe it was due to the change of country that the characters didn't come to mind from other books?

Andreas owns a small cafe in a small town in Greece. He has a few tourists at his cafe when they watch, from a distance, a tourist boat go up in flames in the water. This brings them all together, as they get to know each other over the few days they spend in Aghia Anna. Irish nurse Fiona and her awful boyfriend Shane; beautiful blonde German tv personality Elsa; divorced American dad Thomas; young English man David. They all have their own secrets and issues, as do some of the townsfolk that they meet.
I love the title of the book! The book itself was enjoyable. There was one part of the ending I wasn’t too crazy about. I didn’t see it coming, and I definitely think I was picturing Thomas differently from how he was meant to be pictured!
