Is it really December already?!
This month, we have 2 new Books of the Month, as always nominated and selected by you:
December Science Fiction:
Remnant Population by Elizabeth Moon
December Fantasy:
The Stupidest Angel A Heartwarming Tale of Christmas Terror, Version 2.0 by Christopher Moore
I've set up the polls and the discussion folders, so we're all set to go!
We also finished our polls for the February books, so here are the selections for the next 2 months:
January Science Fiction:
On Basilisk Station by David Weber
January Fantasy:
To Reign in Hell by Steven Brust
February Science Fiction:
Darwinia A Novel of a Very Different Twentieth Century by Robert Charles Wilson
February Fantasy:
The Bone Doll's Twin by Lynn Flewelling
The polls about our August books (The City and the City by China Mieville, and The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch by Philip K. Dick) have ended, with neither book getting a high enough score to make it into the Hall of Fame - and actually barely staying out of the Hall of Shame! I just want to remind everyone again that our 1 to 10 scoring system is different from the 5 star system used on GoodReads. In our polls, pretend you're scoring a test, with 10 being a perfect score, and 1 being the lowest. (I'm mentioning this again because we always have a few people scoring a book lower than 5, and I want to make sure that's not by mistake!)
As always, if you didn't read our Books of the Month, there's a General SF&F discussion folder where you can talk about pretty much anything related to SF&F. And if you're new to the group, please take a moment to say hi and introduce yourself in the "Member Introductions" topic!
Finally... if you happen to celebrate a holiday that involves gift-giving this month, may you find many good books among your presents!
