Paroled sociopath and career criminal Vincent Lubeck betrays his family's trust when he masterminds a complex armored car robbery.

On his way to Red Mesa to insure mine owners against loss from raids on their ore shipments, George O'Brien is ambushed by the raiders, and is accidentally saved by the Three Stooges who run a traveling variety store. O'Brien sells mine owner John Sawyer and his foreman Sandy Evans on allowing him to insure and guard their shipments since they have no help from the bumbling sheriff. He hires to Stooges, Laura Mason and Doc Mason, Laura's ex-physician-turned-drunk grandfather. O'Brien's first move is to trap the bandits headed by saloon owner Taggart and his henchman Clete by using the Stooges to inform Taggart that O'Brien will escort the gold shipment, but George plans on having the Stooges take the actual shipment in another wagon. His plans backfire when Doc Mason, drunk in Taggart's saloon, accidentally informs Taggart of the real plans.

When gang chief Big Mike Morgan is killed, his lieutenant, "Doc" Rogers re-organizes the mob. Learning that Morgan has a son named Edward , living in the country with his mother, Rogers has him brought to the city, and installs him as the head of Acme Protective Agency, which is a blind for gang's shakedown activities with local merchants. Edward thinks his father left him a legitimate business, and that he is running an actual insurance company. Rogers tells the gang members that "Baby Face" Morgan is now in charge, is a cold-blooded killer and does not even want the gang members to know him. Joe Torelli, who thinks he should be the leader of the gang, is suspicious and grows more so after the protection collection money starts to roll in, and nobody sees the money after it is turned over to Rogers, who tells them that "Baby Face" is handling the dough. Complications arise when Edward/"Baby Face" meets Virginia Clark , head of a transportation company, who has had a truck wrecked when she wouldn't pay the protection money. Edward writes her an insurance policy and promptly pays off when a second truck is wrecked. This starts a rash of business to Acme, and as fast as the gang shakes down trucking companies and wrecks their trucks, Edward pays the merchants on their policies, and this puts a serious dent into the gang's cash flow. Torelli learns that Edward is "Baby Face". So Torelli kidnaps Edward's sweetheart Virginia.

A hunter is hired to take an expedition deep into the African jungle to search for a white boy lost in a plane crash years before, and who has been rumored to be living among the wild animals.

A young woman is on Death Row for the murder of a man who was blackmailing her family, although she claims she was framed. Her fiance', a doctor who is conducting experiments on reviving the dead, also happens to be the state's executioner, and is assigned to pull the switch when she is strapped into the electric chair. A famous criminologist, believing her to be innocent, rushes to investigate the case and clear her before her execution date.

A little boy lost in the woods is found and raised by Old John, a hermit, who teaches the boy about life in general and nature in particular.

Ship engineer Jim Taggert is rescued from a torpedoed tramp steamer by Joe Morgan, an American gangster that found New York too hot for him, and has become a fisherman operating from an out-of-the-way island off of the coast of South America. Morgan makes his headquarters at the Halfway House run by the parents of Maria Styx as a bar and dance resort catering to the planters and traders of the island. Taggert finds himself practically a prisoner along with a group of American girls acting as entertainers at the resort. Taggert shadows Morgan in his activities in a remote cove and finds that Morgan is supplying German U-boat commanders with torpedoes, but does not know that Morgan has rigged the torpedoes with clock devices that explode when at sea and sinks the U-boats.

Joan Terry, a girl from the country wants to become a Broadway Star, but this proves to be not so easy.

Based on and built around the west coast radio program, "The Hollywood Barn Dance", although no members of the 1947 cast of the program are in the film, but the better-known (on a national scale) Ernest Tubb and His Texas Troubadors, Jack Guthrie and Jimmy and Leon Short more than make up for that. The slight plot, around 18 songs, begins with Tubb and his band searching for $2000 needed to rebuild their town chuch after it burned down while they were rehearsing in it. Hollywood, here they come.

Wilson's foreman, McCabe (George Slocum), is employed by Wilson's enemy to destroy his company. Jim Caldwell (David Bruce), an engineer, is hired by Wilson and falls in love with Phyllis. McCabe kills Wilson and Sheriff Williams (Lee Phelps) thinks Caldwell is the killer.

The city's District Attorney is murdered, and a newspaper reporter investigates. He starts finding out that everything wasn't quite as cut and dried as it appeared to be.

When Queenie Hart brings her cattle to a lawless town be sold, town boss Drake gets the Cattle Inspector to declare them infected. To fight back, Queenie's foreman Bill gets the Warden to release three prisoners into his custody. With women now able to vote, Queenie gets them to elect Bill Sheriff. They are now ready to take on Drake and his men but one of the prisoners is a double-crosser.

In the Arizona territory,Army Captain Jeff Packard (James Ellison) is on the trail of Apache Chief Geronimo (Chief Thundercloud) and the white renegades who is selling rifles to the tribe. Posing as an outlaw, he joins the gang of robbers and gun-runners and after a few hair-raising escapes, he brings about the downfall of the renegades, the defeat of the warring Indians, with the aid of the U. S. Cavalry, and the death of Geronimo. But not before a army outpost regiment is wiped out.

In the second of the four Cinecolor "Red Ryder" films PRODUCED by Equity Pictures and released and DISTRIBUTED by Eagle Lion Films (USA), Red Ryder finds two silver conchas, the trademark of bandit El Conejo, at a raided ranch. He reports the raid to Marshal Bill Faugh but tells him that he suspects that El Conejo, a Robin hood type character, is being framed. El Conejo shows up at the saloon and accuses Ace Hanlon, the owner, of framing him. Red prevents El Conejo from killing Hanlon, and says he will deliver him to the Marshal. On the way, El Conejo's men captures Red and is about to be executed, but the bandit, ever the sport, gives Red a chance to defend himself. Red beats El Conejo to the draw, without shooting him, and then, since he is innocent, convinces him he will be better off in jail. Red, his friends Buckskin Blodgett and Little Beaver, his aunt, the Duchess and the Marshal's fiancé, Carole Loomis are guarding El Conejo in jail, figuring that Hanlon's gang will try to free him since they can't blame raids on him while he is in jail. Carole leaves to go home and finds her uncle, Happy Loomis, unconscious in the street after having been beaten up. She summons her friends who leave Buckskin as the sole guard in the jail. Hanlon's men overpower Buckskin, take El Conejo to a ranch, shoot and wound the rancher who sees only El Conejo, and then they let El Conejo escape. The Marshal is not happy with this turn of events, but Red and Buckskin have a foolproof plan, or as close to foolproof as anything involving an Emmett Lynn character could be.

Red Ryder gets a telegram from his old friend Dan O'Connor asking for help in his fight against Faro Savage and his gang of rustlers. A gun dropped by Faro during a rustling raid makes Red and Sheila O'Connor, Dan's daughter, think they have ample proof against Faro but they are stymied by the law. Buckskin Blodgett and the Duchess, Red's aunt, find the body of O'Connor who was killed when Faro's men sent the sheriff out on a ruse. Sheila, discovered while rifling Faro's office for evidence, escapes but not before she is recognized. Faro kills one of his own henchmen and then frames Sheila for the murder. Red and Little Beaver set out to clear Sheila and to try to find evidence against Faro and his gang.

Timmy, a crippled youngster, and his grandfather live an idyllic existence on a remote farm, where Timmy enjoys the company of many wildlife friends. One night, their peace is disturbed by the arrival of armored car robber Johnny Nelson, his girl friend, Midge Gray, and sidekick, Bugs Mason, who are on the run not only from the police, but from gangster Menelli, who thinks that Johnny has double-crossed him. When Johnny, who intends to use the farm as a hideout until they can arrange to leave the country, passes out, Grandpa removes a bullet from his chest. Later, after Timmy takes them fishing and they meet many of his wildlife companions, Johnny and Midge begin to fall under the spell of the peaceful valley. However, Pretty Boy, one of Menelli's henchmen, finds them and tells Johnny that Menelli wants half of the robbery money. Johnny and Pretty Boy then struggle for possession of a gun, and Pretty Boy is killed. Later, Grandpa is escorted by Midge and Bugs to a nearby village to do some shopping and, upon his return, shows Johnny a poster he found at the post office, announcing a $10,000 reward for his capture. Police Chief Scott, who has been tailing Pretty Boy, comes to the cabin and confronts Johnny, but decides not to arrest him yet as he wants to recover the money, which Johnny has hidden. Later, Scott tells Johnny that Menelli has found out about Pretty Boy and is coming after him, and suggests that if he turns himself in, he may only receive a four-year sentence. Aware that the reward money could be claimed by Grandpa, who has been saving for an operation on Timmy's foot, Johnny agrees to consider this, as both he and Midge have grown fond of the youngster. However, Grandpa has a heart attack while plowing and, before dying, asks Johnny to take care of Timmy. Johnny and Bugs decide to give themselves up, but as they are about to leave, Menelli and his men show up and kill Bugs. Menelli is about to kill Johnny, but is distracted by a bear cub, which he then shoots. After the cub's mother attacks and kills Menelli, Johnny gives himself up. The next day, as Johnny leaves with Scott, Timmy and Midge tell him that they will wait for his return.

In a throw-back to the1930's indie westerns, Red River Johnny gathers his friends (most of whom are called some variation of the name Bill) and returns to claim the heritage of his father who was outlawed.

Stuart Erwin plays a small-town real estate agent who owns much property which, for several generations, has failed to sell even while the town has grown. It becomes known, except to Erwin, that the property is being considered for the new airport and the owner will make a small fortune. He is swarmed upon by an unscrupulous swami (Russ Vincent)and his equally-crooked business partner, and Erwin is soon convinced that he hasn't long to live. With his life a mess, he leaves home and family.

Released from a navy hospital following WW II, Lon Evans learns that he faces eventual blindness and returns to his Wyoming ranch. He sees a beautiful white stallion named Starlight and his cowhands Lem and Yancy say he is a killer and cannot be trained. Lon disproves this by training the stallion to act as his guide in preparation for his future blindness. He meets Jeanne Barton, who is staying at a nearby dude ranch and they fall in love, but Lon, knowing that he is going blind, decides he cannot marry Jeanne, and avoids her. A wild black stallion that also roams on Lon's ranch jumps in the corral and kills Lon's pinto stallion.
