Out of all MCU projects, fans are naturally most excited about the two upcoming ‘Avengers’ installments – ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars.’ Little is known about the productions of the movies and their respectable plots but we can assume that they are going to adapt the ‘Times Runs Out’ storyline and ‘Secret Wars’ events.
Rdj is returning to the MCU but not as Iron Man, as Doctor Doom, and he will play the central role in this multiversal conflict.
During the recent Nycc, the Russo brothers discussed the upcoming movies and revealed one interesting thing. ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars’ won’t be filmed back to back like ‘Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame’ were filmed:
Joe Russo: It’ll be similar, but we’ll have a larger break in between the two movies than we did. I think it was four weeks maybe? Was it four weeks between Infinity War and Endgame?

The Russo Brothers are gearing up for another potential blockbuster project with Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt as leads in The Electric State, a science fiction adventure comedy-drama labeled as the most VFX-heavy movie they have done in their career.

Now, that’s a surprising statement given how they also worked on Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, both films saturated with CGI effects. Moreover, the movie’s budget also competes with the production costs of both blockbuster sagas. This suggests that the directors are confident it will perform well on the small screen.

Marvel Studios' next big Multiversal event movie, Avengers: Doomsday, is easily one of the most highly-anticipated comic book films on the horizon, but after the crowd-pleasing blockbuster that was Spider-Man: No Way Home, the Webbed Wonder's next adventure probably isn't too far behind.
Now, we have updates on when both of these huge projects are expected to begin shooting, and for how long.
According to Daniel Richtman, cameras will roll on Doomsday from March to August next year, with Spider-Man 4 reportedly set to commence production in May and film right up to October.
The scooper has also heard that Spidey star Tom Holland will have a significant role in Christopher Nolan's next project, and may eve share a co-lead credit with Matt Damon. It'll be interesting to see how that schedule holds up, since Peter Parker is believed to have a major part to play in Doomsday.

Captain America (or Steve Rogers) wasn’t the brightest kid when he was training for the military. The kid had heart and an undeterred courage that made him pass Dr. Abraham Erskine’s test.

Call it a stroke of genius of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or call it Captain America’s dumbness, but there was a scene highlighting that part. In Avengers: Endgame, Steve Rogers had the chance to end Thanos but instead… he chose to choke Thanos (like he did to Ultron).

Tom Holland appeared on the “Rich Roll Podcast” and remembered how Robert Downey Jr. stepped up on his behalf during his first time filming as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Holland debuted as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in 2016’s “Captain America: Civil War.” His first scene required him to act opposite Downey’s Tony Stark/Iron Man.
“When I had to take my mark and do my scene with Downey, it was really overwhelming,” Holland said. “I am very grateful to Downey. When I did my [screen test], it was eight pages of dialogue. That gave me license to follow him. You can’t beat Downey, but you can ride his coattails. And those are good coattails to ride.

It was the year 2018 when Thanos snapped half of the people on Earth in Avengers: Infinity War. The film (directed by the Russo brothers) ended on a mega cliffhanger.

We're currently between seasons of The Boys, Prime Video's subversive superhero show about a world where superheroes are both real and completely awful. The fifth and final season of The Boys will likely air in 2026, wrapping up the story of the conflict between sociopathic superman Homelander and nigh-sociopathic superhero-hater Billy Butcher.
But Amazon has no intention of letting that be the end of things. It's already aired a first season of one spinoff show called Gen V, set at a college where young superheroes are trained to use their powers and avoid moral accountability for their actions. There's also a Spanish-language spinoff planned called The Boys: Mexico.
Finally, there's Vought Rising, a prequel series that will explore the foundations of Vought, the massive corporation behind a lot of the superheroes we come to meet and loathe on The Boys. Vought Rising will revolve around two characters we met on the original series: Soldier Boy,...

The trailer for The Electric State has finally dropped. Additionally, the Russo brothers and their stars, Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, have made an appearance at this year’s New York Comic Con to talk about their upcoming Netflix sci-fi film. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that while Chris Pratt spoke about his experience on the movie during the film’s panel, the story moved him so much that he rescheduled his plan to take time off so he could reunite with his Infinity War and Endgame directors for this project. Chris Pratt was "moved to tears" when he read the script for 'Electric State'.The 45-year-old actor had "100 percent" been planning to take a break from work until he was approached to star in directors Joe and Anthony Russo's new Netflix film - which is based on Simon Stalenhag’s graphic novel and explores a battle between humans and AI - and he couldn't turn down the hugely "original" project.Speaking during a presentation for the movie at New York's Comic Con, he said: “It’s not the kind of thing that typically gets made to be a blockbuster style movie like this. It’s so original, it’s a huge swing.“I thought that these types of movies might be my last opportunity to be in a big movie like this. I have to look at every opportunity like that. And I did. “The Electric State” is alive.
The new sci-fi adventure, from Anthony and Joe Russo (the directors of “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Endgame”), stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt — and you can get a first look at the wild, robot-filled world in the brand-new trailer out Thursday. Watch it below.
The movie, based on the graphic novel by Simon Stålenhag (whose work also inspired the Prime Video series “Tales From the Loop”), takes place in an alternate 1990s that has survived a robot uprising that started when the animatronics developed by Walt Disney for Disneyland gained sentience. Now the robots live in exile.
Brown plays Michelle, an orphaned teenager living in this post-apocalyptic society, whose missing brother makes contact with her via a robot. She hires a smuggler named Keats (Pratt) to help get her across the wasteland and find her brother, all while discovering the mystery behind his disappearance.

Millie Bobby Brown may soon be saying bye to the ’80s-set “Stranger Things,” but the Netflix staple star isn’t traveling far in time (or space) for her upcoming film “The Electric State.”
Brown leads the adventure feature alongside Marvel alum Chris Pratt, who reunites with his “Avengers: Endgame” co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo for the 1990s-set film. Brown plays Michelle, an orphaned teen who is navigating life in a society where sentient robots resembling cartoons and mascots live in exile after a failed uprising. Yet after Michelle befriends lovable robot Cosmo, who appears to be controlled by her maybe-dead younger brother, she sets out to find the truth about what really happened to her family.
Of course, Brown’s co-star Pratt seems to be continuing his “Guardians of the Galaxy” alter ego by once again playing a futuristic smuggler.

The Russo Brothers’ are known for their world-building powers, but the Citadel spy universe they’re designing for Amazon MGM Studios marks a new approach altogether. Whereas the Marvel Cinematic Universe was carefully constructed over multiple movies and many years, Citadel has sped up the whole process for a content-hungry streaming world.
Citadel had first emerged as an idea back in 2018/2019, with development beginning in earnest after Amazon’s Jennifer Salke had approached the Russos about a creating an international spyverse. While the MCU and DC universes have decades of material to work from, Citadel would start from scratch.
There was an 18 month gap after the launch of the first Citadel series, starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden, but things heat up this month. Citadel: Diana launched yesterday out of Italy, and will quickly be followed by India’s Citadel: Honey Bunny next month. Another season of the big...

Chris Evans arguably had one of the best stints as a comic book character in live-action playing the role of Steve Rogers / Captain America. After playing the character for several years, Evans retired from the role following Avengers: Endgame. However, rumors have persisted about the actor returning as the star-spangled hero.

In an interview, MCU veterans the Russo brothers discussed Captain America’s place in the shared universe, highlighting the character’s philosophy and the need to challenge him ideologically. As a result, it is clear that bringing back Evans as Captain America needs to be more than just fan service, and here is why it might be impossible to pull off.

The Russo Brothers may be readying their MCU second coming as we speak, but before the filmmaking duo get stuck into Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars' multiversal madness, they've still one more non-ip blockbuster up their sleeves yet. Based on Simon Stålenhag's visually striking 2018 graphic novel, The Electric State — whose mega ensemble includes Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Pratt, Ke Huy Quan, and Woody Harrelson among many, many others — is a Netflix bound, blockbuster sci-fi fantasy set in an alternate version of the 90s where man and AI went to war. We know — how far fetched! Boasting robots, wigs, and post-apocalyptic wasteland vistas galore, it's a far cry from the grittier, more grounded fare the Russos have endeavoured to make with post-Endgame joints Cherry and The Gray Man. Check out the newly released first images from the movie below:
Now there's a movie that looks like it was made by the Russos!

The Marvel Cinematic Universe reached its highest of high points a little over five years ago when "Avengers: Endgame" hit theaters. It successfully concluded more than a decade's worth of interconnected cinematic storytelling, which still feels like a dizzying feat in retrospect, given all of the moving pieces on the board. As one might imagine, there were many ideas thrown around before settling on the film as it exists. One such idea was to have a rematch between Thanos and Hulk. Thanks to some newly-revealed concept art, we know what that fight might have looked like.
ComicBook.com recently revealed the images as part of a preview for "Marvel Studios: The Art of Ryan Meinerding," which is available now from Amazon. Serving as Marvel Studios' Head of Visual Development, Meinerding is responsible for the earliest versions of what we see on screen in these movies.

We’ve written several pieces about the tabletop game Free League is developing based around Simon Stålenhag’s 2018 picture book The Electric State. Each time, we’ve mentioned offhandedly that someone was working on a Hollywood adaption, but since we didn’t know much about that, we kept it brief. In any event, we didn’t expect much because someone already adapted Tales From The Loop, Stålenhag’s other book, for Amazon Prime and nobody noticed. That show barely existed. But The Electric State, um…well. The first image from the movie was released through Vanity Fair today and….it’s gonna be hard for people Not to notice this one. It’s an image of Millie Bobby Brown surrounded by giant mascot robots, each taking a defensive stance while holding some kind of exotic weapon. The Electric State was an overall mellow book about an alternate apocalyptic 1990s where...

The cards are back on the table.
Netflix is taking another shot at an animated series based on Magic: The Gathering, the hugely popular role-playing game. The streamer first picked up a series based on the game in 2019, with Joe and Anthony Russo as showrunners.
The Russo brothers later departed the series over creative differences, and Jeff Klein (Transformers: Prime) took the reins. Brandon Routh was set to play in one of the lead voice roles, but that iteration of the show eventually fell by the wayside. Routh said in an interview at the Toronto International Film Festival that the show is “apparently not happening”; while that’s true for the version he worked on, Netflix is now forging ahead with a new version.

The MCU has often been criticized for its contemptuous nature when it comes to holding its heroes responsible for their actions. But Captain America: Civil War proved to be an exception, at least during its beginning, which saw the Avengers being called out over the destruction of Sokovia.

Marvel Studios had a pretty flawless run throughout its Infinity Saga. Sure, some movies were weaker than others, and not all of its run was smooth-sailing, but for the most part, the Marvel Cinematic Universe's long-form storytelling was a game-changing hit, enjoying levels of consistent box office success that had never been seen before, and acclaim from both fans and critics.
Avengers: Endgame brought about an incredible culmination to that story, leaving fans feeling all kinds of emotions. The Avengers' defeat of Thanos was a bittersweet moment as it came with the sacrifice of Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man. It was a heartbreaking conclusion that brought about the end of one era and the beginning of another.

Robert Downey Jr. has revealed that conversations about his Marvel return to play Doctor Doom started a year ago.The 59-year-old actor left the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after Iron Man died in 2019’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’, but has been confirmed to return to the franchise as the Fantastic Four villain in Joe and Anthony Russo’s upcoming films ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, and has now detailed the story of how Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige pitched the new role to him and his wife Susan Downey.During an appearance on ‘The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter’ podcast, he recalled: "Susan and I were sitting down with Feige at one point, and he said, 'It just keeps occurring to me that, if you were to come back…’ And Susan was like, ‘Wait, wait, come back as what?’ "And then we both realized, over time, that it was another thing...

Around a year ago, Robert Downey Jr. and his wife and producing partner Susan Downey sat down with Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige for a chat.
It wasn’t unusual for Downey and Feige to be talking. After all, the two have kept in touch following Downey’s departure from the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers: Endgame. But the conversation soon took a multiverse-shattering left turn, when Feige suggested Downey could return to the MCU, even though his character, Tony Stark, was dead.
“He said, ‘It just keeps occurring to me, if you were to come back …’” Downey said in the latest episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast. “Susan was like, ‘Wait, wait. Come back as what?’”
Downey and Feige went on to talk about issues that needed to be resolved, should the actor return.
“How can we not go backwards? How can we not disappoint expectations?...
