- TriviaDana Andrews's singing voice was dubbed by radio singer and announcer Ben Gage, who at one time was married to Esther Williams. The studio was unaware that Andrews was a trained singer. He later explained that he didn't correct the oversight because he figured the ghost singer also needed to earn a living and he didn't want to deny his colleague employment. Ironically, despite his training, in a film career that lasted three decades, Andrews never displayed his singing voice on screen.
- GoofsDuring a number of the outdoor scenes at the fair, mountains can be seen in the background that are far taller than any mountains that are found in Iowa.
- Quotes
Harry Ware: Biggest boar in the world, I bet.
Margy Frake: All depends on how you spell it.

This version is also available for streaming on some platforms.

There were many amusing elements to this feature and more than one great song. "That's for me" comes immediately to mind. The Technicolor on the DVD is stunning and makes me wish that Hollywood still used the old three-strip system to film in color. I happen to enjoy Spring Byington's charming and sweet supporting performance and know for a fact that she was as kind and good as she portrayed on the screen, both silver and television.
I will never forget that wonderful crane shot of Craine (no pun intended) as she wistfully sang, "It Might As Well Be Spring" from her bedroom window. Corny and classy all at once. Where better for pure American corn than a state fair?
