Madonna To Split From Record Label
Pop superstar Madonna is set to part company with her record label after her current deal expires, according to her publicist. The Material Girl is signed to Warner Music Group (WMG), but is in talks to leave the label after releasing the two remaining albums left on her contract with WMG. Madonna is reportedly considering a move to LA-based promotions company and venue owner LiveNation in a deal rumored to be worth $100 million, but will have to honor her commitments with her current label. It is expected she will release her forthcoming album later this year and her third greatest hits compilation, after 1990's Immaculate Collection and 2001's GHV2, according to her publicist Liz Rosenberg. Speaking to FoxNews, Rosenberg says, "Once that's done, Madonna is a free agent. Her management is considering a move to another company."...
