This article contains spoilers for "Good Omens" season 2.
If you watched "Good Omens" season 2 when it debuted in July, chances are you've spent the last several weeks humming the same song as a few million other fans of the show. Buddy Holly's "Everyday" is the unofficial theme song of the fantasy comedy series' second season, and it's an earworm that's both impossible to shake and too fun to even want to.
"Everyday" first appeared in the sophomore season trailer, and seemed to be hinting towards some sort of countdown. "Every day/it's a-gettin' closer," Holly sings -- but what's the "it" in question? The apocalypse? An answer to the question of Gabriel's sudden appearance on earth? A big old smooch between the demon Crowley (David Tennant) and the angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen). The answer turned out to be two of the three, but within the show's story, the...

In collaboration with “Clerks” mastermind Kevin Smith, Logic’s newest music video for his stoner anthem “Highlife” reunites the film’s cast. The video features Logic as the star at the original New Jersey Quick Stop set.
“Clerks” (1994) follows clerks Dante and Randal’s daily debauchery at a New Jersey convenience store. “Clerks II” premiered in 2006 and “Clerks III” in 2022. All of the “Clerks” films, along with Smith’s other works such as “Mallrats” (1995), “Chasing Amy” (1997) and “Dogma” (1999), are part of his fictional universe, referred to as “View Askewniverse.”
The music video’s cast includes Smith as Silent Bob, Brian O’Halloran as Dante, Jeff Anderson as Randal, Jason Mewes as Jay, Matt Ranieri as Mooby and Ernie O’Donnell as Trainer.
Logic has long admired Kevin Smith’s work. Smith direct messaged the rapper on Instagram to join “Clerks III,” but the rapper missed the alert. Once the creators did connect,...

Exclusive….Developing…We’re hearing that Paramount Players creative executives Matt Dines and Ali Bell are departing the label that they arrived to in late August 2017. While these two key execs are leaving, the Paramount Players will remain in operation under the oversight of Paramount Motion Pictures Group president Wyck Godfrey.
Word is that Dines is heading to Jonah Hill’s production company and will become a producing partner there. Hill recently produced Richard Jewell; executive produced and starred in the Netflix limited series Maniac; and directed, wrote and produced the 2018 A24 movie Mid90s. At the same time, I understand Bell is heading to Andy Samberg’s label Party Over Here.
While at Paramount Players, Dines worked on such features as Nobody’s Fool and Playing With Fire. Bell during her tenure oversaw What Men Want, Dora and the Lost City of Gold and the upcoming Monster Problems which has a February 12, 2021 release date.

Tinder recently wrapped production on a secret TV series which will launch on the popular dating app as early as October. (Via Variety.) Set in a pre-apocalyptic world, the series will utilize the app’s famous swiping feature as part of a choose-your-own-adventure style narrative. Viewers will swipe left or right depending on which way they want the story to unfold, much like choosing potential matches. Production on the untitled six-episode show wrapped in Mexico City at the end of August, under the direction of rising music video director Karena Evans.
The project marks the app’s first foray into producing and distributing original content. Gay dating app Scruff recently launched an in-app game show called “Hosting,” modeled loosely after the wildly popular HQ Trivia game show.
While the show will first air on Tinder, sources close to the project told Variety that producers are eyeing a potential streaming deal after release.

Spider-Man: Far From Home shows us Peter Parker and his pals reeling from the shattering aftermath of Avengers: Endgame. Besides Mj and Peter's budding romance, there's another couple swinging into action: Ned and Betty. If your spidey senses are tingling about Ned's love interest, you've likely seen her around before. Betty's played by 18-year-old Australian actress Angourie Rice, who has appeared in a number of pop culture hits over the years.
Chances are that you've seen Spider-Man: Homecoming if you're tuning into the sequel. Rice also plays Betty in the first film, although her character is less fleshed out in the first Spider-Man movie. In the McU, Betty resembles the character Gwen Stacy, sporting a black headband. In the original Spider-Man film with Tobey Maguire, Betty was a newspaper secretary at The Daily Bugle played by Elizabeth Banks. The interdimensional sci-fi Netflix series The Oa from Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij is, like many of their projects, unapologetic when it comes to having a complex narrative that would make your brain bleed. After the first season set up this wild world, the second season, which launched on the streaming giant on March 22, is a little more straight forward, but the series continues with its layered storytelling and, at one point, puts a trans character in its spotlight — and he is played by trans actor Ian Alexander. At 17 years old, Alexander identifies as trans and his place in the series is a quiet, yet groundbreaking feat when it comes to contributing to authentic casting and storytelling in television.
In The Oa, Marling plays Prairie Johnson, a woman who mysteriously returns after missing for seven years. Once blind, she now can see, has also has scars on her back and...

Sucsy has written the script and will direct as well as produce the feature. The project will be taken out for financing shortly.

It tells the true story of French stage superstar Sarah Bernhardt, a pioneer in the culture of exotic, eccentric celebrity who became the world’s first A-list actress. Uh oh, Tyler Baltierra isn't happy with Teen Mom Og's newest addition! The reality star opened about Bristol Palin on last week's episode of "Reality Life With Kate Casey," and needless to say, he sounded less than thrilled about the news. "Do I think it's weird as hell? Absolutely," he said on the Sept. 28 podcast. "Do I think it's a really, like, not a good decision for the franchise? Yeah. But that's out of my control." Ouch. In a wild twist that literally no one saw coming, Farrah Abraham was replaced on the hit MTV show by none other than former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's daughter. Bristol confirmed the news on July 20 with a behind-the-scenes photo of her kids and cameramen. "I am excited to join MTV's Teen Mom Og," she wrote in the caption of the pic, which showed her three kids Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston,...

She's moved on! Before becoming royalty, Meghan Markle was the star of the hit USA show Suits. But prior to marrying Prince Harry, Meg closed the Rachel Zane chapter of her book, and sadly, hasn't really looked back on the role. According to People, Meghan, 37, told identical twins boys, Luke and Elliott Rainbird, 20, during an appearance at the Coach Core Awards on Monday, Sept. 24, that she no longer watches the series today. When they asked if she caught a glimpse of this new season yet, she reportedly replied "no." But just because Meg doesn't watch the show doesn't mean she regrets the seven seasons she was on it. During her first official interview with Harry after they announced their engagement, the brunette beauty opened up about leaving her acting career behind to, you know, become a princess. Based on the 2012 novel by David Levithan, Every Day serves up an intriguing blend of science-fiction fantasy and Ya romance. The film’s unusual conceit comes with a side order of problematic plot points, but the script and the performances ensure that its positive central message wins out.
Directed by Michael Sucsy, the film centres on a spirit known only as “A”, who wakes up every day in a different body, a bit like Sam Beckett in TV’s Quantum Leap. The bodies are always the spirit’s age (around 16) and always within the same geographical area, and A is careful not to meddle too much in the lives of each person he inhabits.

Based on David Levithan’s New York Times Bestseller, Every Day tells the story of Rhiannon (Angourie Rice) who falls in love with “A”, a person who wakes up in a different body every day. Rhiannon and A end up finding their way to each other again and again, while dealing with the realities of their unusual relationship. Conveniently, this teen body-snatcher explains that they never wake up in a body too far away and the bodies A inhabits are always of a similar age, which thankfully eliminates some rather shady encounters.
Aimed at an adolescent audience, the film combines humour, fantasy and (a pleasant but sometimes cloying) sweetness to its characters and narrative. Every Day is a film that treads precariously between a teen flick and something that may appeal to even younger audiences; with its minimal conflict and quickly resolved drama, which many might find this verging on bland.

Executive exits after seven years at helm as Tomb Raider stumbles in North America.
MGM chairman and CEO Gary Barber has departed the company after seven-and-a-half years in a shock move announced on Monday night (March 19). No reason for Barber’s departure was given at time of writing.
MGM’s lacklustre recent track record at the box office, capped by the weekend’s disappointing $26.3m North American launch of the Tomb Raider reboot, would seem to be a contributing factor in Barber’s exit. Adding to the surprise is the fact that last year he extended his contract to 2022.

This weekend, Disney and Marvel's Black Panther will become only the seventh film to have ever topped $600 million at the domestic box office. Like last weekend, however, the one question that lingers is whether or not it will be able to retain the #1 spot yet again, becoming the first film since Avatar to top the weekend box office five straight weekends in a row. Standing in its way is Warner Bros.'s release of Tomb Raider, and the race looks like it will be a close one. Meanwhile, fellow new wide releases include Fox's Love, Simon and Roadside's I Can Only Imagine while Focus will debut 7 Days in Entebbe in a moderate number of theaters. Last weekend we bet against Black Panther remaining the #1 film in North America, expecting more from Disney's A Wrinkle in Time than it could ultimately deliver while Panther exceeded our expectations. This weekend it...

Adding an estimated $108 million to its coffers, Black Panther, easily topped the weekend box office for the second week in a row. The continued dominance of the latest entry to the Marvel canon allowed it to become only the fourth film ever to bring in over $100 million in its second weekend of release, this also makes it the fifth highest grossing title domestically in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Elsewhere, the weekend’s other new releases finished with decent showings over the weekend.
The comedy Game Night finished in a distant second place behind Black Panther, with $16.6 million. Despite falling to third place, the animated Peter Rabbit brought in $12.5 million to raise its three-week total to respectable $71.3 million. The Natalie Portman-starring Annihilation finished with a somewhat unimpressive $11 million in fourth place, but could benefit from decent word-of-mouth to gain some traction in the coming weeks. Marvel Studios tentpole expected to cross half-billion within the week.
February 26 Update: Black Panther established its blockbuster credentials within its first three days in North America and now, after two weekends, a new level beckons as Marvel Studio’s cultural phenomenon reached a confirmed $403.6m. The half-billion mark is a strong possibility within the week.
The tentpole held firm in its second session, slipping 44.7% to add $111.7m through Buena Vista and hit $400m on the nose. Ryan Coogler’s well reviewed tentpole starring Chadwick Boseman and an all-star cast stands at $708.9m worldwide.
The film also became only the fourth to gross more than $100m in its second weekend, and already ranks as the fifth biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe (McU) release in North America. It will overtake Captain America: Civil War on $408m and Iron Man 3 on $409m by the end of Monday or Tuesday.

Playing like a tortured teen twist on A Dog’s Purpose, Michael Sucsy’s Every Day is a romantic fantasy about a 16-year-old girl in love with a similarly smitten entity who wakes up in a different adolescent body every morning. At its core is a well-intentioned message about inclusivity and valuing inner beauty, but the film, adapted from the 2012 Ya best-seller by David Levithan (albeit with a problematic perspective shift), remains stuck in a stubborn rut somewhere between confusing and snooze-inducing.
