Two new innovations built on Google Cloud technology and developed by Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. could accelerate drug development for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. 1️⃣ A protein large language model will give individual researchers and enterprise companies the ability to develop medicines with insights from Ginkgo’s data. 2️⃣ Through a model API, biological AI models are now available directly to scientists allowing for faster testing and advances. Nearly half of people with diabetes will develop diabetic retinopathy, which can lead to blindness without early detection and treatment. To address this, Google Health collaborated with healthcare providers and health-tech partners across India and Thailand to expand diabetic retinopathy screenings using our AI-model, Automated Retinal Disease Assessment (ARDA).
