Purple Guy (formerly known as ScaryLB59 or Ed) is a smasher from Florida who mains Zelda and Sheik in both Brawl and Smash 4. He is considered to be among the best Zelda players in the world for both games. Purple Guy is currently ranked 9th on the Smash 4 South Florida Power Rankings and was formerly ranked 77th on the 2014 SSBBRank.
On April 18th, 2017, Purple Guy announced the birth of his son and his temporary retirement from competitive play.
While he continues to play Zelda in Ultimate (taking a set off Dath in that game), he is not as active as he used to be.
