Ātman (Jainism)Jīva (Jainism) – Not a single Jain text that I have referred contain the word Ātman. All use the word "जीव" (Jīva). Also, if we see other pages on Jainism, the name Jīva is used to refer the soul substance. According to Jain philosophy seven tattva (truths or fundamental principles) constitute reality. The first two are "Jīva" and "Ajīva". The non soul is called "Ajīva" (a=non and jīva=soul). And the soul substance is called jīva. Therefore, the name of the article should be changed to "Jīva (Jainism)" or to "Soul (Jainism)". Regards, -जैन (talk) 12:30, 26 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Support - The reason seems satisfactory. -- Pankaj Jain Capankajsmilyo (talk · contribs · count) 05:14, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
