List of equipment of the Shahristan Army
The heavy equipment and weaponry of the Shahristan Army is of mostly foreign manufacture, from British, French and American suppliers. Very often this equipment is tailored to meet the specific requirements of the Army.
Equipment runs the gamut from mostly state-of-the-art to Cold War inventories; the latter are being upgraded to keep it up to date, while new equipment is also added. Early Western equipment was transferred from the UK and USA, very often including those that were ordered by Iran but were not delivered following the 1979 revolution. Most of this equipment, however has been phased out.
