-:Thanks, it is close to, but still has problems. The very problem that exists today stems from "merely claimed" issue: only revendication (whether in "Revendication par" graph or as a qualifier for country graph) without any note for recognition of Ukrainian claim implies, that Crimea is otherwise Russian territory only "claimed" by Ukraine (similar to Southern Kuriles), disregarding the fact that Russian sovereignty of Crimea is not recognised. Keeping in mind, that Crimea is not the only similar issue, I see possible ways:
-::1) allow optional (not mandatory, so that could be switched via template param for appropriate cases) renaming of "claimed by" into "other claims" (alreadly possible with {{M|infobox Subdivision administrative}} but requiring addition of <code><nowiki>| revendication titre = </nowiki></code> parameter into {{M|Infobox Cap}} and similar templates with <code><nowiki>| revendication =</nowiki></code> parameter), so that "country" field will contain a controlling (with qualifier "administrant") and internationally recognised (with qualifier "(reconnue par la carte officielle de l'ONU)" or similar) claims, whilst "Other claims" will, indeed, contain other claims. Crimea will result in both Russia and Ukraine in the Country field (with appropriate qualifiers), Archipel des Chagos will result in United Kingdom and Mauritius in the Country field (with appropriate qualifiers) and Maldives in "Other claims". Southern Kuriles will remain as is: solely Russia in the Country field and Japan in "Claimed by";
-::2) allow (again, optional) renaming of "Countries" into "Pays administrant" (by addition of <code><nowiki>| pays titre = </nowiki></code> parameter) and "Claimed by" into "Non-administering claims" (achievable by the same means as in #1). In this case: a) Crimean objects on Russian-controlled territory will contain solely unqualified Russia in this "Pays administrant" field and Ukraine will be in "Non-administering claims" (with a UN qualifier, indeed: "(reconnue par la carte officielle de l'ONU)" or similar). Chagos will basically remain as is (but its fields will be renamed too: Pays changed to Pays administrant and "Revendication par" to "Non-controlling claims"), Southern Kuriles will remain entierly as is (Russia in Pays, Japan in Revendication par), since it is indeed "merely claim" by Japan;
-::3) outright end of separate "Revendication par" graph in all templates: Crimea will have Russia (with qualifier "(administrant)") and Ukraine (with qualifier on international recognition) in the Country field; Chagos will have United Kingdom (with qualifier "(administrant)"), Mauritius (with qualifier "(reconnue par la carte officielle de l'ONU)") and Maldives (with qualifier "(revendication)") in the country field, and Southern Kuriles will have Russia (unqualified) and Japan (with "(revendication)" qualifier) in the Counry field.
