The two species in the genus Phascolosorex, also known as marsupial shrews, are members of the Dasyuromorphia order.
There are two species of these dasyurids:
- Red-bellied Marsupial Shrew, Phascolosorex doriae (Indonesia)
- Narrow-striped Marsupial Shrew, Phascolosorex dorsalis (Indonesia and Papua New Guinea)
