Cory

Hello...is there anybody out there?

Oh good, I'm glad I did ok...I'm new to Wikipedia but can already tell it will be a fast obsession. Just to give a little background on my interest with this entry (not sure if that is the norm here or not): I am fascinated by mystery and questions, and subsequently places thought to contain "majik". I have yet to travel to Bimini but it ranks first on my list of travel destinations. Anyway, I think this entry was pretty good to begin with, but hopefully has taken a few steps toward being better. I dislike "Mysteries of Bimini" being the first heading and will work (or if anyone else wants to "get in on this" I would love the help) on developing a stronger introduction. I also plan to add a small subsection to the "Mysteries of Bimini" for "The Shark Mounds". I'm thinking that the Prohibition-era rum-running ought to be its own section instead of an afterthought (I just put it there for the time being), but I know little about those activities. I will do my best to research it and hopefully expand it into its own section. We could also probably have a section for "Island Sports" and get those activities listed under that heading. I am really just whipping around like a hyperactive dervish; sorry 'bout that. If anyone has any opinions or advice I'd appreciate the feedback. Wording

Hmm.. so stranded Chinese sailors = lost civilization? If I'm not missing anything, someone please change the wording.

More Wording

"For many years, South Bimini tourists were limited to boaters because there were few accommodations other than private homes."

That's how it was, but how it is now? How do you travel between North and South Bimini?

First Paragraph

I think the first paragraph/sentance regarding the origin of the name should either a) be its own article or b) be incorporated into this article as more introductory information, but in the 2nd or 3rd paragraph. Thoughts? Arx Fortis 04:32, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
