Mesa de Otay is a borough of the municipality of Tijuana, located in the northwest of Baja California.
Geography
Mesa de Otay is located in the north part of Tijuana, and adjacent to the San Diego County census designated place of the same name, Otay Mesa. The Centro borough is to the west, to the east is the Centenario borough, and to the south is the borough of La Mesa. The Port of Entry at Otay Mesa is one of the two ports of entry in San Diego, California, with the other port of entry in San Ysidro 10 km (6 mi) west.
Delegation and Main Roads
The offices of this borough are the Calzada Tecnológico S/N Fracc. Altabrisa. The main roads are:
- Camino al Aeropeurto (Airport Avenue)
- Calzada Tecnologico
- Lazaro Cardenas Boulevard
Shopping and Cuisine Second District
Mesa de Otay has two shopping centers: Centro Comercial Otay, which contains Comercial Mexicana, SEARS, Telcel, Group Three, El Aguila, Dax, and Soriana; and Plaza Americana Otay, which is located in front of Centro Comercial Otay, and which includes Burger King, Cinepolis, Gusher, and Telcel.
Otay Mesa is a gastronomic second district in the municipality, notable for its Chinese food, Italian, food, Mexican and more.
