Desta Talk is an online portal providing farmers information on agriculture and agribusiness for free.[1]
It is initiative of Desta Global- an Indian start-up company working in agriculture sector.[2][3] It was founded by Rohn Bohem & Nishant Banore in 2010. Mohnish Sharma is current CEO of the company.[4][5][6][7]
Activities
In May 2015, Desta Talk conducted online photography contest "Desta Krushi Pariwar". About 168 photographs were submitted for this contest. Winner of the contest Sonali Bhoi from Nashik, Maharashtra was awarded with prize of Rs. 50,000; whose photograph got 4377 votes.[8]
Awards
Desta Talk won "Special Mention Award" at Social Media for Awareness Summit- 2016 organized by Digital Empowerment Foundation.[9]
