External links, NOT External Links
Hello. When you write "External Links" as a section heading, you're violating the Wikipedia convention on capitalization in section headings. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style. Generally, the first letter in the heading is capitalized, and later initial letters are capitalized only if there's a reason to do so; being in a section heading is not considered such a reason. - If this is a fault, it's not this user's. It's mine, as I put the External xinks section in the Ankara article. :) Also, refraining from using words like "violating", "convention", to newbies will go a long way in expanding Wikipedia and the community, me thinks. With respect, mu5ti/talk 05:38, Apr 16, 2005 (UTC)
External links
Ooops, never mind, ignore the 1st message by me. I read your user page. --Hottentot 19:04, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
- Hi. No I didn't report you. I was about to revert your edits until I read your user page though. :-P I encourage you to keep on adding links. Thanks. --Hottentot 16:49, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
February 2009
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Ankara has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bpbase\.com\b (links: http://www.pbase.com/dosseman/ankara_turkey).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 09:57, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Safeguarding your linked content
Hi Dosseman. Your addition to external links at Temple of Artemis seems to have offered a link to the page in editing mode - I'm not sure about this, but it seemed to risk changes to the linked site content by unauthorised users. The link now connects to the photos in non-edit mode. Haploidavey (talk) 15:11, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
Hi, Haploidavey, I appreciate your work, I do not know how to answer apart from leaving this message.
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
