This article has been nominated for deletion. The user nominating the article for deletion has only four edits total. The nominator claims that "Most of the sources cited on this article are either irrelevant or do not exist. This vanity article which seems to have been created by the subject itself should be deleted at the soonest". The sources stated in the article do exist and the nominator dislikes Tridha Choudary (a page can not be deleted simply because someone dislikes the person). There is no evidence that the subject herself created the page. --TamilMirchi (talk) 19:57, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

:TamilMirchi It may very well be a bad-faith deletion nomination, but two of the references don't resolve, (and would be poor anyway) which is probably what they meant. This deletion also seems to be related to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Souman Bose (2nd nomination), where an editor complained about that specific article being a hoax. == Deletion ==

I want to delete some of the articles that I created because they are not notable. Despite them being not notable, a user named Neutral Fan goes to Wikipedia: Requests for undeletion or moves the draft back to the main space. Is there any way to get rid of the non-notable articles, so they can't be revived. TamilMirchi (talk) 17:50, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

How do I find the content of this page? [1] Is it archived somewhere? --TamilMirchi (talk) 17:07, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

TamilMirchi, will this help? Kailash29792 (talk) 17:13, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Thanks. --TamilMirchi (talk) 17:15, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@TamilMirchi: Go to Archive.org and paste the URL into the Wayback Machine search box. Result here. However, it doesn't appear that anything resolves. In those cases, I might try googling the article's title, as sometimes news sites just change their URL formatting. But that's only useful when you have a unique article title like "Jane Doe weds John Roe on the Riviera". Alternatively you can google "Eyarkai site:sify.com" to see if that results in anything, in this case the Google cache is available. Or you can just do what Kailash did. Sir, recent changes here looks suspect. Can it be one of those Vijay fanboys? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:01, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Fylindfotberserk: I don't see anything overtly drool-laden in that edit, do you? But if it is a Vijay fanboy, I think the biggest one was Bothiman. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:11, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not particularly but I had the feeling, that's why asked you. Oh.. did you check this? You suggestion is needed. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:25, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This user needs to be blocked as soon as possible. Most of the edits have been reverted. This user is adding cast members who are not a part of the film and adding Nintendo characters (Black Yoshi in Kaala [2] and (Dr. Eggman in Viswasam [3]. I reported this user on the Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism, but nothing happened.TamilMirchi (talk) 20:24, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@TamilMirchi: Done for one week. If you see more, let me know. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:27, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Neha Kakkar

Looks like overzealous users can't wait a few days. They are adding WP:CRYSTAL. The marriage is yet to happen as per the sources. Would you kindly protect the article? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:18, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Done. 5 days. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:21, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This user is messing with filmography tables such as [4] and [5]. This user also removes cast members from films: [6]. Could you revert all of these edits? TamilMirchi (talk) 04:20, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@TamilMirchi: The first link you provided isn't a diff, so it's unclear what complaint you have with their edit. As for the second link, yeah, I agree that "heroine" is an absurd column for a filmography, but this is something you should educate the editor about. As for the third link, while I can see your concern about unexplained removal of content, is it possible that the editor is acting in good faith to pare down the list to the most significant cast? Wikipedia doesn't, after all, endeavour to replace IMDb, and WP:FILMCAST says "Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, so it is encouraged to name the most relevant actors and roles with the most appropriate rule of thumb for the given film: billing, speaking roles, named roles, cast lists in reliable sources, blue links (in some cases), etc. So I could see a valid argument to chopping out unlinked names who also don't have roles listed.
I do, however, notice that they mark all their edits as minor, which I already warned them about, I do notice English grammar issues and ignorance of how to format the lede here, and I notice them deleting roles here, but nothing so far seems expressly like vandalism. Got any other examples? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:33, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Also, reordering cast to place a Kannada actress first [7]. Mainly just filmography issues such as [8].TamilMirchi (talk) 15:47, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@TamilMirchi: I haven't seen that movie. Does that Kannada actress have a prominent role? If so, where should she be placed? The bottom line here is that I think they are likely editing in good-faith, but they are operating solo and could use guidance. As editors, when we encounter these people, we should educate them. I left a lengthy note on their talk page, but you could have done the same thing. If the issues persist after the education occurs, then it is suitable to bring it to an administrator. I shouldn't be the first line of defense here. For what it's worth, since they do seem to have ignored my prior note and are both silent and going solo, it is likely they will require sanctions at some point. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:59, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Cyphoidbomb: In Sadhu Mirandal, she is credited towards the end. Her role must be minor.TamilMirchi (talk) 16:45, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Twinkle

Hey there Sir, I am interested in knowing about Wikipedia:Twinkle; I want to enable it in my account, actually not able to do that. Can you please guide me through the procedure of it and also the uses and benefits of the same? Reading the Wikipedia articles on Twinkle, I am still confused and didn't get the concept completely. Please help me out. Thanks Abhishek Kasaudhan 123 ( talk) 15:49, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nice edit-summary] pun:) DMacks (talk) 18:44, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DMacks: Lol, thanks. It wasn't planned before I started typing, but I did notice it while I was typing it. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:49, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This user is adding long descriptions in the Notes section of Filmography tables, which is not supported at WP:Filmography. Kindly prevent these user from messing up the tables. Examples: [9], [10], [11], and [12]. --TamilMirchi (talk) 21:20, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@TamilMirchi: Again, you should be leaving warnings on this user's talk page and educating them on proper procedure instead of going to an administrator the first time you notice something amiss. I'm very busy as well and when I have to research some other user's problems and leave them basic warnings that any editor could leave, it takes away from the other stuff I need to do. I've left him a warning and reverted his changes. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:46, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, next time. I will warn the user before coming here. --TamilMirchi (talk) 04:48, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@TamilMirchi: Thank you, friend. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:50, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

your previous assistance

thank you, again, for your kind assistance with that draft article. Unfortunately, at this point, it will probably never be accepted for inclusion. Especially now that my i.p. range seems to be in process of being blocked. But I am truly very sorry that you wasted your time trying to assist. (b.t.w., switching my browser to "desktop mode", makes no difference in the ability to begin new talk-threads. which is why i am posting to this existing thread. sorry again.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1009:B14A:EF3:84B7:C9E4:65B:951D (talk) 11:46, 26 October 2020 (UTC) p.s. i just accidentally discovered how to start a new thread (without the new thread button). not that it will do me any good, now, i guess. oh well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1009:B14A:EF3:84B7:C9E4:65B:951D (talk) 11:49, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Problematic user

This user (Ochumayee) is adding unsourced content. This user has been warned multiple times on the talk page by several editors, but no action was taken.TamilMirchi (talk) 20:28, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive edits on Sonam Bajwa article

IPs adding unsourced names, birthplace, not adhering to MOS:NAME and making disruptive change to film article wikilinks using incorrect pipes [13]. They did the same thing on 5th [14], 7th [15] and 9th October [16]. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:43, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Fylindfotberserk: Have you tried educating them? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:49, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, not in their talk pages (since dynamic IP from Delhi, Airtel broadband), but in the edit summaries [17] [18]. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:54, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tridha Choudhury

This article has been nominated for deletion. The user nominating the article for deletion has only four edits total. The nominator claims that "Most of the sources cited on this article are either irrelevant or do not exist. This vanity article which seems to have been created by the subject itself should be deleted at the soonest". The sources stated in the article do exist and the nominator dislikes Tridha Choudary (a page can not be deleted simply because someone dislikes the person). There is no evidence that the subject herself created the page. --TamilMirchi (talk) 19:57, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@TamilMirchi: It may very well be a bad-faith deletion nomination, but two of the references don't resolve, (and would be poor anyway) which is probably what they meant. This deletion also seems to be related to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Souman Bose (2nd nomination), where an editor complained about that specific article being a hoax.
