A Welcome Apology

Hello.

If you're looking at the archive of this talk page (I've left the nice ones on here from there), you're probably thinking that I've got quite a good talent for being a total moron with Wikipedia and not conforming to simple rules and regulations

You'd be right! (If it was still 2008!) I just want to establish that I was rather young at the time and quite immature. I also had much higher thoughts of myself as a Wikipedia editor and didn't really know the full extent of policies on the website. It would seem most often with not realising that Google Images isn't a valid copyright source!.

I want to apologise to all of the users that had to deal with my nonesense and nuisance. I have since become a much more proficient coder and have cleaned up my User area thoroughly.

Just putting it out there. Should be smooth sailing from here. Send a message and say hi if you can! Wikiisaac (talk) 23:20, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't seem to have been deleted?

Thanks for uploading File:S5Candidates.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:05, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Uh-Oh. I was a little stupid back in 2009

Google Images is not a source, it's a search engine. We need to know who the copyright holder is and where the image came from (ie. what web page, or what book, etc.) in order to verify the license. --Carnildo (talk) 00:33, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is just gold

Please don't speculate as to Ó Briain's religion n the basis that he used one Yiddish word (which is not that uncommon anyway) in an interview. Please review policy on biographies. Rodhullandemu 15:00, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with my own work?

Thank you for uploading File:New Wikiisaac.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock(TALK) 07:42, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Again. Brilliant

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Mild Insomnia, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Bit Late?

Hi Wikiisaac: A belated welcome to Wikipedia from me, hope you enjoy it! Well done on creating the article about Rabbi Yehoshua Hartman, a well-deserved feat! It would help your work and Wikipedia if you could add any additional WP:RS and WP:CITE to this article and to any other articles that you create or are trying to improve. Best wishes, IZAK (talk) 10:14, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Leslie Cass for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Leslie Cass is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Leslie Cass until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Clarityfiend (talk) 21:46, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm so very honoured that people got together to actually discuss an article I made quite legtimately about my great uncle

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
