Matthew Simpson Davage (June 16, 1879 - ?) was an educator who served as president of George C. Smith College (1914-1916), Haven Institute, Samuel Huston College, Rust College, and Clark University.

He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. He studied at New Orleans University and played baseball.[1] He married Alice Vera Armstead in 1904.[1] He was business manager for the Southwestern Christian Advocate from 1905 to 1915.[1]

He corresponded with W. E. B. Du Bois who sent him an autographed copy of Du Bois' speech "The Revelation of St. Orgne the Damned".[2] The Amistad Research Center at Tulane University has a collection of his papers.[3]

The New York Public Library has a photograph of him published in 1922.[4]
