Hughes Eng O.Ont. is a community activist in the Chinese community in Toronto.

Eng immigrated to Canada from China during the period of the Chinese Exclusion Act, an experience that lead to this role in getting compensation from the Canadian government.

In 2006 Eng was award the Order of Ontario for his community work. He is the father of Toronto Police Service Constable Ben Eng and uncle to former Metro Toronto Police Services Board chair Susan Eng.
