Tomoko Tamura (Japanese: 田村 智子, born 4 July 1965) is a member of the Japanese Communist Party serving in the House of Councillors. She was elected in 2010 and again in 2016 for the National party list block.[2]

On January 18, 2024, she replaced Kazuo Shii as chairman of the Japan Communist Party. She became the party's first female chairman in history[4][5].
