Cleanup on aisle 5

In these edits, I did a massive pass to clean up the horrendous marketing crap and other POV nonsense that was insulting to read at this article. In each of my edits, I left thorough explanations, but here they are in case you need specific edification:

• "General cleanup and scaling back puffery and other promotional nonsense. Don't need editorials about how popular everything is or fabricated assertions about how well everything was received."
• "Source doesn't support the claims of (cough cough) "overwhelming response", or the rarity of the response, etc. Also, what is "overwhelming response"? Did critics and audience literally faint and shit themselves?"
• "De-fluffing. The tone of this content is garbage. "Berserk"?! "Ruckus"?! Jesus."
• "OK, but where's the conflicting opinion? WP:NPOV fail. You can just cherrypick one review and present that as immutable fact. That's intellectually dishonest at best.
• "So are readers supposed to glean from this that he is sexier than these other dudes? Are we presenting subjective information as "ha ha, in your face" fact? Garbage." Uh oh, sorry Shahid and Ranveer, there's a new king in town and it's our hero Barun Sobti!
• "Clarifying achievement per source. The 2016 win is unsourced." Looks to me that Sobti topped one of the lists instead of getting third. The other claim is unsourced.
• "Grammar cleanup. The fluff about how the critics and audience were drooling is not supported by the source." Source says nothing about the film being "critically acclaimed and was given a positive response by audience". This was obviously added to puff up the subject. Garbage.
• "Satra Ko Shaadi Hai appears to have been shelved." Self explanatory. Added content about the film possibly being shelved.
• "Grammar/syntax cleanup to Tu Hai Mera Sunday. But wait, I'm about to cut more crap!" Relatively minor.
• "No confirmation that the film was released, yet we're to believe it met with (snicker snicker) "overwhelming response". Hm, was the overwhelming response vomit?" I found it funny that the person who was trying to puff up the subject erred on the side of vagueness.
• "Pure excrement. Unambiguous promotion. Fails WP:NPOV in several irritating ways." I stand by this summary, as the content was offensive and seemed to drool over the subject.
• "Cutting unsourced content, personal musings, and marketing fluff."
• "No article = no establishment that this is a notable award. Also needs references." Awards are everywhere. We only care about notable ones.

It looks like much of the obnoxious POV and puffery was added by 1.186.37.61 in these March 2017 edits. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:27, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
