I'd have to dispute the Aboriginal name Coonalpyn meaning "Barren Women". I came across the State Library list of Place Names of South Australia, and found that it means "place of mice excreta" from the word konangalpun. I also base this on the that people had always thought Tintinara meant the same thing.
