Double Impact is a 1991 film, directed by Sheldon Lettich and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme as Alex/Chad Wagner.
Alex and Chad Wagner are twins who are separated when they are babies when their parents are killed by a crime boss. Now 25 years later they meet for the first time and join forces to exact revenge on the people who took their parents' lives.
Trivia
- Bolo Yeung who played one of the villains in this film also starred with Jean-Claude Van Damme and played another villain in the movie Bloodsport.
- Kamil Krifia, who plays Alex's bar owner, played Tong Po in Kickboxer 4, a character that first appeared in Kickboxer which also starred Jean-Claude Van Damme.
- In the scene where Chad leaves headquarters unannounced to rescue Alex's sweetheart Danielle, Alex is seen consuming large amounts of whiskey while he imagines what his estranged brother and girlfriend might be doing. This stirs the hot-headed Alex into a frenzy. Such a frenzy, in fact, that at one point he drinks the whiskey and subsequently projects it from his nose. This phenomenon is called a nasal pulmonic egressive and is quite different from what is known as "whiskey nose" or rhinophyma.
Double Impact is a Giant Johnny Walker plug. Van Damme even breaks johnny walker bottles over peoples heads.
Goofs
- In the scene where Chad and Alex wake up on the island after their fight they see the underlings storming the islands. In the scene were Alex and Chad storm the Drug lab, one of the men already has a large flesh wound in his left side before Alex shoots him there .Chad attacks a man and retrieves a rifle from him, and Alex attacks another man on the beach and retrieves a dagger from him; but then, when Alex enters the derelict hotel, he is carrying the gun that Chad obtained earlier, and Chad has the knife that Alex obtained earlier, with which he later kills a minion.
