Frazier Quarry Page

Hi Expat,

I've been working on a Frazier Quarry page and I'm not ready to put it up yet. I was wondering if I could show it to you to look over so that i doesn't appear to be spamming. That hasn't been the intention of any of my pages but it has been interpreted as such.

Thanks, Andy.W.Ellis (talk) 14:47, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FAIR Edits

Many thanks for the tips... I'll master this yet.

Writing PAD is not a club. It is an important grass-roots movement spanning the art and design (A&D) Higher Education (HE) sector to address imposed writing models onto writing in art and design HE. Please see www.writing-pd.ac.uk and www.writing-pad.org. How can I change the decision to delete? —Preceding unsigned comment added by J.lockheart (talkcontribs) 15:35, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Rescue Barnstar
I award you this rescue barnstar for rescuing the article Evanston public library from certain doom by doing a very quick rewrite and hunting for reliable sources. LonelyBeacon (talk) 22:26, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Foale nationality (PS)

My previous note was actually a reply to your June 2007 inquiry posted on the discussion page of the Wikipedia article about Michael Foale. As a Wikinewbie, I found it easier to post my note to your talk page instead (also ensuring you promptly got the message and could browse scuba besides).--OrbisTerra (talk) 00:11, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wicked cast members page

I was wondering if you could change The Wicked Cast Members page to The Wicked The Musicals Productions. I think it would better suite the article —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.16.145.210 (talk) 00:58, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've revised navbar according to some of my own (and one of DaRkAge7's suggestions.) Then I changed your template to change all of your transclusions (sorry). The new Navbar now:

  • detects automatically your username using BASEPAGENAME
  • can use the new option to. (PLEASE WAIT, WILL COME BACK...)

I've revised navbar according to some of my own (and one of DaRkAge7's suggestions.) Then I changed your template to change all of your transclusions (sorry). The new Navbar now:

  • detects automatically your username using BASEPAGENAME
  • can use the new option shorten option to shorten the navbar by shortening the common links.
  • displays "Purge cache" instead of the more confusing "Purge" (shorten will turn it back to "Purge")
  • had the documentation fixed so people now know that not all browsers can support the Navbar as floating text. The same message also convinces users to place the Navbar in an inline-friendly location.

Don't forget to use the suggest navbar change link! 68.172.97.41 (talk) 05:38, 14 July 2008 (UTC) User:Gnorthup[reply]

Hi Ukexpat,

I am asking for a big favours of yours. I nominated the article Euro gold and silver commemorative coins (Austria) for featured list, but there were too many small grammar problems, so we decided to withdraw it, and do a peer review first. The list is complete and very well sourced. It also followed all he suggestions given in Euro gold and silver commemorative coins (Belgium) (recently promoted to featured list), so in general is in a very good shape. Only the description fields for the coins are in a need of a good copy/edit. Can you please help us to get this list promoted?

Many thanks, Miguel.mateo (talk) 06:28, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just to thank you!

Dear friend, I´m writing just to thank you about everything you´ve done for me about Prata´s page. Vongensen has done a very goodwork on it and the page is now as I´d like! Best wishes, Katia Teixeira (talk) 14:55, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Woodhull Freedom Foundation & Federation

If you've returned to the page, you'll note that many of your issues have been resolved. Some are still in progress. Will you take a look at the site now and see if any of the tags you put up can be removed, please? Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by RicciJoy (talkcontribs) 12:32, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shenandoah Valley Bluestone

Hi,

I made a page that discussed Shenandoah Valley Bluestone in a fair amount of detail and would be able to add more onto it, I did not want to take up tons of space on the bluestone and so thought it more prudent to make another more specific page if anyone cared. Would you mind looking over the shenandoah valley bluestone page and see if you think the deletion was warranted?

Best, Andy.W.Ellis (talk) 16:47, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What can I do...

Hello, what can I do to improve the UpShift - Software article that I recently made. --TheFranky (talk) 19:42, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I went back to figure out the categories and proper stub and saw that you already did it. ;-) Thanks for your help. Take care, FloNight♥♥♥ 20:35, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your edit to the page. Is it a "wikipedia rule" that personal web pages cannot be used as references? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ooblik (talkcontribs) 20:51, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Full names unknown

Hello. I'm not sure if there is any policy around using a disambig in a title if the full name of a person is unknown. There seems to be a loose convention in the cricket project to use a qualifier so that we have W Chapman (Nottinghamshire cricketer). The point is that it is not known if Chapman was William or Walter or Wurzel; whereas we do know that WG Grace was called William Gilbert. Personally I don't mind either way but obviously W. Chapman is less cumbersome! However, I think we should qualify a surname only: hence Hicks (Essex cricketer)Regards. BlackJack | talk page 00:33, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fine. I'll go with that. Anything to make things easier! All the best. BlackJack | talk page 00:47, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Anekantavada still copy edit is required

Hi UKexpat, You had copy edited Anekantavada some time back. Subsequently many changes were made and this article was promoted to GA and now it is a candidate for FAC. However some concerns were raised on the copy edit parts here. Request your help on this matter. Thanks--Anish (talk) 05:53, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

taking tags off page

hi ukexpat -- i appreciate all your help since i'm fairly new to writing entries. i am actually a journalist -- not a PR agent or advertising rep., so would you consider taking off the COI tag? i also fixed a lot of the text in the Houlihan Smith & Company article. will you re-read and consider taking the advertising tag off? if not, tell me what still needs to be done to it to make it not sound like an advertisement. the first paragraph is also fixed and no longer reads verbatim from the website. i added references, but i'm welcome to take suggestions as to what else needs to be referenced. thanks!! Madison1500 (talk) 15:04, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have added references to the secondary sources which should demonstrate notablility. Thanks.--Counsel (talk) 17:13, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
