Diptford is a small village in South Devon, England; between Ivybridge and Totnes. It is perched on a hill overlooking the river Avon, in fact, we think that the name comes from "deep ford" referring to the site of a river crossing. The centre of the town is the recently redeveloped 14th century church. The village has a temporary pub open 4 times a year but the bus service has ended and the train stop has now fallen through lack of use.
