The European Energy Centre (EEC), part of Centro Studi Galileo, was created in 1975 and its focus is renewable energy training [1] [2] and conference delivery in order to create a much needed workforce capable of installing, repairing and maintaining renewable energy equipment[3].

By training technicians in the latest renewable energy technology the European Energy Centre aims to ensure companies meet their legal requirements to reduce CO2 emissions and that they unlock significant energy savings and contribute towards protecting the environment for generations to come.

The European Energy Centre was born of a dual desire to ensure 20-20-20 UK and European targets on climate change are achieved whilst simultaneously promoting the economic and employment benefits of a Green New Deal throughout Europe and India.

The European Energy Centre works with the United Nations Environment Programme [4](UNEP) [5]the Intergovernmental International Institute of Refrigeration [6] and Centro Studi Galileo [7], along with leading Universities such as Edinburgh Napier University and Heriot-Watt University in promoting the use of renewable energy technologies across the United Kingdom.

The European Energy Centre is also active European-wide [8] with conferences in refrigeration, air conditioning and renewable energy, specifically Heating and Cooling technologies, see the 14th European Conference at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.[9]

Main activities of the Organization

- European conferences organised with the United Nations (UNEP) on the latest technologies in renewable energy

- Publications with the United Nations Environment Programme
