Brighterion is a Delaware Corporation headquartered in San Francisco, California that offers a full suite of software products for real-time fraud prevention, national/international compliance and homeland security intelligence[1].

The company has won enterprise wide acclaim for its technology leadership from publications such as Warren, Gorham & Lamont, a unit of RIA, and recently received the Fraud Innovation World Series Award for Most Innovative Fraud Solution[2]. Additionally, iPrevent received the 2006 Payment Security Product Excellence Award and the Best Analytical Solution Award by The Meta Group (acquired by Gartner Group)[3].

Brighterion also holds several patents for fraud/abnormal behavior prevention and detection.[4][5]

Brighterion has recently released version 4.5 of its iPrevent software that is used for real-time fraud prevention and detection[6].

History

Brighterion was founded in April of 2000 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California with offices in Europe. Brighterion's core technology is based on MindSuite which is represented by more than 15 years of development in artificial intelligence and mathematics. MindSuite has been used in several different fields of application, including financial services, military, etc.

Brighterion also offers solutions in healthcare fraud, national/international compliance, anti-money laundering, and defense and homeland security.

In 2007, MasterCard WorldWide became a partner of Brighterion[7] .

Products

iPrevent

iPrevent is a Fraud/Abnormal Behavior Detection and Predictive Risk Management Solution. iPrevent integrates ten artificial intelligence technologies such as SMART Agents, Data Mining, Neural Networks, Business Rules, Case-based Reasoning into one unified product[8]. iPrevent works in real-time in the fields of fraud prevention, compromised account detection and delinquency prediction for Financial Services( Acquirer Fraud, Issuer Fraud, Prepaid, Credit, Debit, Corporate, Checks), Retailers, Healthcare, Insurance and Mobile Payments [9].

iProtect

iProtect is a real time decision-support engine that can combine data from many sources to threat assessment and allows early detection of potential terrorist threats. iProtect uses inferential reasoning to classify entities such as people and organizations and portray suspected associations between these entities. iProtect can be used in the fields of homeland security and defense [9].

iComply

iComply is a browser-based web service that allows financial institutions and other regulated companies to identify their clients against the world's compliance lists. iComply's Anti-Money Laundering module is used for monitoring and reporting suspicious activities[9].

iSupervise

iSupervise is a browser-based decision management software (DMS) that can be used in real-time or batch mode for enterprise-wide investigation[9].
