Sean Burrage has represented Oklahoma State Senate district 2 since 2006. The district is located in Rogers and Mayes County.

Sean and Carole Burrage have been married for 15 years and have two sons: Truman, 13, and Carter, 5. They have made their home in Claremore for the past 14 years, where Sean has practiced law and Carole served on the faculty of Rogers State University prior to becoming a stay-at-home Mom. Sean is the son of former United States District Judge Michael Burrage and Aletha Burrage, an elementary school principal. He is also the nephew of current State Auditor and Inspector Steve Burrage.

Both Sean and Carole received their undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Oklahoma. Sean served the State of Oklahoma as former U.S. Senator David L. Boren’s Legislative Director in Washington, D.C. Sean continued his public service as Special Assistant and Director of State and Federal Relations to President Boren at the University of Oklahoma. Sean is a past board member of the University Hospitals Authority at the OU Medical Center, and currently serves as a Member of the OU-Tulsa President's Cabinet.

He was named Tri-County CASA Attorney of the Year in 2001 in recognition for his pro-bono representation of minor children in the juvenile court system.

In his spare time, Sean enjoys coaching Truman in soccer, basketball, and baseball. The Burrages are members of the First United Methodist Church of Claremore.[1]

Burrage is an Assistant Minority Floor Leader. Burrage is the Vice Chair of the Senate Health & Human Services Committee. He also sits on the Business & Labor, Transportation, Veterans & Military Affairs and Appropriations Subcommittee on Health & Human Services.
