Bluffton is an unincorporated community in western Montgomery County, Missouri. It is located on Missouri State Highway 94 about ten miles west of Hermann near the Missouri River. It was originally known as Stringtown (settled in the 1840s), and became Bluffton when a wine company with that name came to the town. Its post office closed in 1966 and mail now comes from Rhineland.
