Being the mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee may have regional notability, but this is going a bit overboard. From what I can tell, this fails WP:N guidelines since the individual in question is "famous" (perhaps regionally, at least) for just one thing - being the mayor of the third-or-fourth-largest town in one of the nation's smaller states. If she manages to get elected Governor like the previous mayor did, then it's a different story, but at present I fail to see how the subject merits a Wikipedia article. - She is the city's first female mayor, and has received significant coverage from independent sources. Do we need to take this AfD? Bms4880 (talk) 17:32, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
- Probably. It doesn't seem at present that a civil conversation on this article's merits can be had given the appearance of ownership issues. It's not intended to be a slight against you, Rogero or Brown, after all. We've all had articles we thought had merit that got deleted. It's nothing personal. :-) I assume I'll have to be the one to do that, then? Sidatio (talk) 17:44, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
