Mattheus van Helmont (1623 – after 1685), was a Flemish Baroque painter.

Biography

He was born in Antwerp, where he became master of the Guild of St. Luke in 1645-1646.[1] He moved to Brussels in 1674 and his last dated work is from 1679. [1] He is known mostly for genre works after Adriaen Brouwer and David Teniers II.[1]

He died in Brussels.[1]
