1000 Women in Religion: A Wikipedia edit-a-thon at "Atla Annual 2019" in Vancouver, British Columbia | |
---|---|
The 1000 Women in Religion Project is working to improve the coverage of women’s contributions to religious, spiritual and wisdom traditions worldwide. In support of this goal, the edit-a-thon at Atla's (formerly the American Theological Library Association) annual meeting will focus on improving articles about women in religion. We would love to have a few Vancouver area Wikipedians to help us get new editors oriented and editing!! 8:00am-12:00pm Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre 1088 Burrard Street, Vancouver, British Columbia V6Z 2R9 Canada

Adding Malware sites
Do not add links to Malware sites and malicious webpages as you did on your userpages. This is not acceptable. Do not add links such as this again. Canterbury Tail talk 20:35, 8 July 2019 (UTC)
- It seems it was not a deliberate malware/malicious site, but simply a hacked site or redirect. I retract the above warning as the actions were not deliberate and the website owner was unaware of the hijacking. Canterbury Tail talk 00:39, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
Prior userpage
Here is the text of the prior userpage, without the links to your company. I cannot restore it, but I can provide you with the contents.
"Comparison of Android devices was a useful article that unfortunately became a victim of the deletionists of Wikipedia. The Comet Busters! article has also become a victim of deletionists.
Does anyone want to help add to Wikipedia a category for mobile computers, such as handheld (including smartphone) and tablet computers, using the x86 architecture instead of the ARM architecture? Or for those using the RISC-V architecture?"
Happy editing. Canterbury Tail talk 00:39, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
Just percent-escape spaces in URLs
https://binary-factory.kde.org/view/Windows%2064-bit/ works just fine, and will probably survive most software that would mangle a URL with an unescaped space in it. Guy Harris (talk) 03:54, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Trumpet Winsock
Hi @Brolin Empey, thanks for adding some content about Trumpet Winsock. Do you also have a source for it, so it is verifiable? I am not going to remove it immediately because it sounds plausible, but it is a policy of Wikipedia to make statements verifiable. PhotographyEdits (talk) 09:30, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
- My source is my own human memory from using and studying the subjects. I do not have other sources ready to provide, would have to dig for them but it already took me at least one year as in twelve months to get around to editing the article on Trumpet Winsock because the priority was so low, my life is strange, and I am usually spread too thin. ArtAndFeminism 2023
Hi @Brolin Empey, thanks for adding your suggestions for the notable artists listed on the ArtAndFeminism 2023 page. I have deleted Judy Patricia Reimer Empey, as we are cleaning up the list and focusing on artists who have enough coverage (articles, newspapers, books, etc.) for a full article to be written about them. I appreciate your suggestion of Gay Mitchell. Gideon09 (talk) 23:41, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- Did you look for articles about Judy using the name Judy Reimer? She was the subject of many articles but some (many?) of them may now be available only in archives, not on the live Internet, because she died over two decades ago. Brolin Empey 05:47, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
