Bionic Woman has not officially been cancelled, it is premature to say it is not returning. Much like it is unlikely that Jericho will return, but to say it WILL not is inaccurate, until it is official. The Scrubs news seems to rely heavily on rumor (The ABC move part that is), but I haven't read the McGinley interview yetCublue (talk) 04:18, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have deleted the reference to Bionic Woman's cancellation. According to NBC's website the show's future is still being determined.Cublue (talk) 04:28, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Scrubs

[edit]

Hey! Scrubs hasn't officially been canceled yet. Yes, this (season 7) was originally supposed to be the final season, but because of the writers strike, NBC may renew it for an 8th season and if not it is very likely that it will be picked up by ABC for the 2008-2009 season. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.192.184.215 (talk) 03:04, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CBS

[edit]

They'd better renew How I Met Your Mother for a new season!! Also, the Moonlight confirmation was only "probable" according to the source, so it might be good to wait for an official announcement like the one it made for its highest rating shows like CSI, Criminal Minds, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.186.4.216 (talk) 09:56, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NBC Reference

[edit]

Someone really needs to read the reference as this is what it says: NBC has set a date for its 2008-09 upfront presentation.

The network will unveil its prime-time programming schedule and strategy for the new season on April 2 in New York City.

The event will be hosted by NBCU co-chairs Ben Silverman and Marc Graboff, with Michael Pilot, president of sales and marketing, and Marianne Gambelli, president of ad sales.

This year’s upfront will be held at the network’s Rockefeller Center offices, a departure from NBC’s traditional Radio City Music Hall party. The move comes on the heels of a keynote by CEO Jeff Zucker at NATPE that called for the elimination of the traditional elaborate and expensive upfront presentations.
It doesn't list a schedule of any kind and adding one based on this reference is adding false information. KellyAna (talk) 02:37, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New Amsterdam?

[edit]

Any word about New Amsterdam on FOX? Applejuicefool (talk) 20:25, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Likely cancelled. The sets have been torn down. However, there is a slight chance of renewal --Yankeesrj12 (talk) 01:22, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rules of Engagement

[edit]

Any word on this show? I heard a rumour somewhere on the web that it was either How I Met Your Mother or Rules of Engagement? And now that How I Met Your Mother has been renewed ... -SKA-ed for Life (talk) 20:16, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I love Rules of Engagement. Its the best show ever. -- Jamie jca (talk) 22:35, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Crowned

[edit]

I haven't heard any announcement about Crowned being canceled. The CW is still casting for a second season. Despite it not being on their fall schedule it could be a mid-season replacement. (They do need a filler reality show while Top Model is in-between cycles) So Crowned shouldn't be put in the "canceled" section unless The CW states it won't return. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 08:14, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sunday Nights

[edit]

Since The CW is the only network starting at 6:30 PM on Sunday nights is it really necessary to have a column for 6:30 PM when the other networks won't be showing anything?

Here is how the Sunday schedule would look being normal with The CW's new show "In Harms Way" having a note about its start time:

PM 7:00 7:30 8:00 8:30 9:00 9:30 10:00 10:30
ABC America's Funniest Home Videos Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Desperate Housewives Brothers & Sisters
CBS 60 Minutes The Amazing Race 13 Cold Case The Unit
CW In Harm's Way
(6:30 PM)
Surviving Suburbia Valentine, Inc. Easy Money Local Programming
FOX Fall NFL on FOX (doubleheader weeks)
or comedy encores
The Simpsons (9/28/2008) King of the Hill (9/28/2008) Family Guy (9/28/2008) American Dad (9/28/2008)
Mid Season Comedy Encores Sit Down, Shut Up The Cleveland Show
NBC Fall Football Night in America NBC Sunday Night Football
Mid Season Dateline NBC Merlin Medium Kings

Note: On May 9 2008, it was announced that Media Rights Capital was to produce the shows for the Sunday night time slots, following The CW's outsourcing of the night.[1]

Much better I think. Also can we split the "Mid-Season" from the "Official/Fall-Follow Up" schedule. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 07:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • AGREE regarding 7 instead of 6:30. The information as it stands now is wrong for Fox and NBC (making it appear those shows start at 6:30 ET, when they don't, see for example http://thefutoncritic.com/showatch.aspx?id=football_night_in_america&view=listings). Further, the fact that ABC and CBS offer local programming from 6:30 to 7 ET also argues against including that half hour in prime time. If the anonymous editor at 71.109.*.* would like to make a case for prime time starting at 6:30 (something more persuasive than "well, that's when the CW starts"), that would be welcome. On the other hand, Wiki's article on prime time lists 7 ET as the start time on Sundays. Yasha1969 (talk) 09:00, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There's another problem sunday night, there is nothing listed from 9:00-10:00pm on NBC after Sunday Night Football ends and before The Celebrity Apprentice begins. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.250.77.177 (talk) 20:27, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Changes needed

[edit]

Okay, I think a few things need to be changed, but I want to know what you think before anything is done. The first thing, the mid-season needs to be completley deleted. That is over 5 months away and anything can happen from now till then. We can re-add it in December, in a whole new section, because right now, that schedule is really confusing to the eyes. The next thing is this: Show (Genere) in the by network section. I really don't think that is needed on this page. The final thing is to clean up that list of NBC shows. There is no way all those new shows can be coming to NBC. I think some of those may also be for the 09-10 television year. They are just in development, which means they could be cancelled. What do you all think? --Yankeesrj12 (talk) 23:08, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Refs.

[edit]

Should, or can, someone fix the refs so they aren't just the url's? If need be, I can possibly work on it this upcoming weekend. --HELLØ ŦHERE 04:40, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Missing networks

[edit]

Why are networks such as USA and TNT missing from the list, while channels like My Network Television are present? Grk1011/Stephen (talk) 16:25, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As the first sentence in the article says, it only includes the six major broadcast networks that are available over-the-air. That keeps the page somewhat under control, and sets a limit on what it will include. --Mtjaws (talk) 18:18, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm ok, maybe its because no one here ever thinks of MyTV as a major network, it consists mostly of old reruns. Grk1011/Stephen (talk) 19:18, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 2008–2009 United States network television schedule's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "nbc":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 06:34, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As of this season, Friday Night Lights aired on The 101 Network first, then aired reruns on NBC. Can't we just say Friday Night Lights moved? 68.194.30.71 (talk) 12:21, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Glee started this season as a sneak peak after American Idol on May 19, 2009. Can we say it started this season? 68.37.41.158 (talk) 23:57, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
